"How could I possibly lose? I am a genius," Shangguan You said, glancing at the three people before her. Three months, and everyone’s gotten so tan, she thought. So incredibly dark.

"Yes, my girl is a genius, so she’ll definitely rank first," Shangguan Qing said, his large hand gently rubbing her hair as he smiled.

"Let’s go! Auntie has made something delicious at home, waiting for us to come back for dinner," Shangguan You said quickly, slipping into the driver’s seat.

Shangguan Qing’s handsome eyebrows furrowed. He rested his hands on the car, watching Shangguan You with his gentle eyes. His intent was clear: he would drive, and she should sit aside.

"Big Brother Qing, I’ll drive," Shangguan You said, shaking her head. Thinking of the scene she had just witnessed, she was more determined than ever that she must be the one to drive back.

"No."

"Big Brother Qing, my driving is really good, truly! Please let me drive. We’ll go slowly, I promise not to speed. Is that okay, Big Brother Qing?" Shangguan You pleaded, clasping Shangguan Qing’s hand pitifully.

"Young Master Qing, let her drive. Look at her, it breaks my heart," Yu Zifeng said, his phoenix eyes sweeping over Shangguan You. "Yeah, Young Master Qing, let You drive. She looks so pitiful," Gui Jun added.

"Alright, You, our lives are in your hands now, so you’d better drive well," Zhang Yuchen declared with a hearty laugh as he pulled Shangguan Qing into the passenger seat.

"Yes, Officers!" Shangguan You gave a military salute, her actions amusing everyone even more.

"Girl, drive slowly," Shangguan Qing sighed helplessly.

"Yes, Officer!" Shangguan You replied, stepping on the gas. The car steadily pulled away. As they traveled, Shangguan You listened to the idle chatter of the four men, occasionally adding a few words. Most of the time, however, she was focused on the traffic, looking for the black sports car that had collided with hers.

As they approached the tunnel, Shangguan You once again brought the car to a steady stop in a parking lane. Her face was a bit pale, and her expression was troubled.

"Girl, do you feel unwell? Shall I drive?" Shangguan Qing asked worriedly. Throughout the trip, she’s been looking around restlessly while driving. That’s dangerous, especially on the highway, he thought.

"No, Big Brother Qing, I’ll drive. Let’s just rest for a while before we go through the tunnel," Shangguan You’s voice rose slightly. Meeting the worried and puzzled gazes from Shangguan Qing and the others, she managed a faint smile, then got out of the car first. She took deep breaths of fresh air, trying to calm the growing unease in her heart. Why was this feeling of unease growing stronger?

Their car had just stopped when a black sports car smoothly parked behind them.

Shangguan You’s sharp eyes spotted the black sports car. It seemed to radiate a dark aura. Her brows furrowed deeply as she walked, step by step, towards it.

Instead of being hit by him in the tunnel, I might as well take the initiative, she decided. Who is after my life? Is it accidental or intentional?

"Sir," Shangguan You said, walking up to the black sports car and knocking on the window.

"What’s the matter?" As the window rolled down, Shangguan You saw large glasses, a high-bridged nose, and slightly pale lips pressed together lightly. He was clearly displeased at being disturbed. The man, dressed entirely in black, looked at Shangguan You coldly, his whole body exuding an icy aura.

This man is different from the enchanting Third Master Ye, Shangguan You thought. Men like Third Master Ye make women throw themselves at them like moths to a flame. This man, however, makes people instinctively stop in their tracks; he’s too dangerous, too sinister. That’s my first impression. He also seems to have a connection with Third Master Ye; that’s my second impression, because the aura around him is very similar to Third Master Ye’s.

"I would like to ask for directions to G Square in Beijing," Shangguan You said slowly, asking for a place that didn’t exist.

"You’re asking the wrong person," the man replied coldly, and the window rolled up again, shutting Shangguan You out.

Shangguan You stared at the man in the car, at his icy demeanor and death-like aura, her clear eyes flickering.

"Girl?" Shangguan Qing looked at Shangguan You with confusion. What’s wrong with her? G Square? Is there such a place in Beijing? And that man in the car... who is he?

"It’s nothing, Big Brother Qing. Let’s rest here for a bit. Are you hungry? I’ll get some fruit for you all," Shangguan You said with a smile. She then took out the Spirit Fruit she had prepared earlier from the trunk for them to eat. As long as that man doesn’t leave, I’m definitely not leaving first. If we enter the tunnel, that narrow space... he could easily kill us.

"Girl, what are you doing?"

"Big Brother Qing, we won’t leave until the man behind us does," Shangguan You whispered in Shangguan Qing’s ear. Then, the five of them got out of the car and sat down on the roadside to rest.

The black sports car behind them remained parked quietly, motionless.

"Big Brother Qing, how about we turn back?" Shangguan You’s brows furrowed. That man in black has an unnerving amount of patience. Men like him are dangerous. For some reason, seeing this man makes me feel as if I’m seeing another side of Third Master Ye. Does he have a connection with Third Master Ye and the ancient Ye Family?

"Turn back?" Yu Zifeng exclaimed. "You! The old chief went to so much trouble to get us these seven days off just so we could accompany you to your college entrance exams! You have to understand, we waited three whole months for this measly seven-day break! You can’t be so heartless as to send us back now, can you?"
