"Hey! I haven’t even asked about Li Wanying’s whereabouts yet! Why did you knock him out?" Shangguan You exclaimed, somewhat speechless. How did I end up with these two brothers?

"If he weren’t knocked out, could you have made Elder Shi work for you? And be sure he wouldn’t divulge your secrets?" Ye Three Young Master shot her a devilish smile and a look that clearly said, You’re so naive.

"You have a way?"

"Naturally." Ye Three Young Master chuckled, then glanced at Ye Family Two Young Master. The younger brother flicked his hand, and a strange object shot directly into Elder Shi’s body.

"What is that thing?" Shangguan You asked, puzzled.

"It’s something that makes people obedient—they want to speak but can’t. When you get stronger, I’ll teach you," Ye Three Young Master said with a light laugh, adding after a moment.

"Am I that weak now?" Shangguan You’s brows furrowed. Am I truly so weak? Weak enough for Ye Three Young Master to belittle me repeatedly? A sense of defeat swelled within her. Ye Three Young Master... All men of the Ye Family are freaks!

"You are a bit weak, but I’ll protect you," Ye Three Young Master said, somewhat amused by her dejected expression.
