A big hand pulls, and Shangguan You’s body is once again tugged into the embrace. Ye Sanshao speaks with a voice thick with flirtation, his large hand lightly stroking her waist. On the deck, Ye Sanshao lifts Shangguan You up in his arms. Glancing around and seeing no one, he leaps straight out of the water, the two of them soaking wet, and lands right on the deck.

Just as they reach the deck, a huge bathrobe is wrapped around Shangguan You, swaddling her whole.

"Girl, you’d better dress more modestly in the future. Otherwise, I’ll have to keep you tied by my side. Now, do you need me to help you change clothes?" Ye Sanshao’s deep eyes flash, a look of expectant eagerness as he gazes at Shangguan You. He’s always happy to serve her.

"No, I’m not done" swimming yet. She doesn’t even finish speaking before Ye Sanshao cuts her off.

"Girl, if you still want to swim, I can keep giving you mouth-to-mouth. Hell, we can take it even further and jump back in together." Ye Sanshao licks his lips, clearly not quite satisfied.

"Nope. I don’t want to swim." Shangguan You struggles free from his arms. Ye Sanshao is just too flagrantly dangerous—if she goes back in the water, she’ll be a lamb thrown to the wolf, and she’s not that dumb.

She heads into the cabin to change. Looking at the long white dress, Shangguan You’s lips twitch hard—again with the long white dress. Is she really born to wear this "lady" style?

On the deck, Ye Sanshao has already changed. Clad in black, he’s lying lazily on the deck with his hands behind his head, gazing up at white clouds drifting in the blue sky. A sea breeze stirs his hair, making him seem completely different from his usual self.

Shangguan You nods silently. She’d once chased after this kind of easy life and ended up disappointed. Now, she’s still pursuing comfort, but this time not just for herself—now her family is part of it, too.

"Yes, it’ll come, for sure. Even if it doesn’t, we’ll fight for our own sky together. You and me, both." Ye Sanshao buries his face in her hair, murmuring with a quiet yet determined strength.

Shangguan You shivers slightly but doesn’t answer. Her gaze drifts to the pale blue water, where she sees Shangguan Qing, Gui Luo, and Yu Zifeng swimming and racing. Their happy faces and hearty laughter make her lips curl upward. She doesn’t ask for much. She gently pushes Ye Sanshao away—maybe that’s really...

"I’ve got something to handle. I’ll be gone about half a month. When I’m back, I’ll go with you to find Zhuge Feng. My second brother will be with you these two weeks. He might be cold, but as long as he’s promised, he won’t lay a finger on you."

Ye Sanshao strokes her hair, his eyes thick with reluctance. Gazing at her face in the sunlight, he reminds her yet again, "Wait for me."

That day, everyone except Shangguan You was truly happy. They were like birds let out of their cage, playing their hearts out and enjoying all the freedom of youth.

From noon till afternoon, besides swimming, Shangguan Qing and Yu Zifeng got into the water for an adventure. Yu Zijin and Gui Luo stayed on deck, admiring the sea while waiting for the others.

Watching the two long-skirted figures fluttering in the sea breeze, Shangguan You finally gets why the two insisted on wearing dresses today—they stand out brightly in this wind, impossible to ignore.
