CHAPTER 342: CHAPTER 342: THE DOMINEERING MR. YE (4)_1

The boats constantly circling their yacht, and the men who occasionally swam up to strike up a conversation, made the attention they were receiving all too clear.

Back on the yacht, the unease in Shangguan You’s heart had completely settled. Ye Shaoshao had come and gone like a phantom; apart from her, no one knew of his arrival or departure.

"Girl, guess what I’ve brought for you?" Shangguan Qing’s cheerful voice rang out as he emerged from the water. He grabbed the handrail and presented the object in his hand as if offering a treasure.

"Thank you, Brother Qing, I really like it," Shangguan You said, accepting the seaweed Shangguan Qing had brought up from the seabed. A gentle smile touched her lips as she reached out to help him onto the boat.

"I’m glad you like it," Shangguan Qing said as he climbed aboard and began removing his diving suit. "This is similar to kelp; I really didn’t expect to find it here."

Once he was on board, the others also surfaced one by one from their dives, each holding something they had found on the seabed.

The group of eight, who had initially planned to return home that day, found their plans delayed by the diving and the setting sun. Consequently, they decided to rent rooms directly at the resort hotel.

A massive crystal chandelier illuminated the opulent, glittering hotel lobby. After enjoying the local specialty dishes, they arrived at the hotel by nine o’clock at night.

Having made no prior reservations and arriving late, they found the hotel was already fully booked. They exchanged glances as they faced the smiling, apologetic young women at the reception desk.

"What do we do now? There are no rooms. Do we have to go home tonight?" Gui Jun frowned, his head aching slightly as he stared at the "No Vacancy" sign. He hadn’t expected business to be so brisk that there wouldn’t be any rooms left. No rooms? Were they supposed to sleep on the beach?

"Brother, didn’t you book rooms in advance? How can there be no rooms now?" Yu Zijin asked in surprise. She had clearly heard them call to reserve rooms earlier. Yet, now that they were here, none were available. Could someone be playing tricks?

"We reserved three rooms at five o’clock this afternoon. Could you please check again? You had rooms available then, so why are there none now? Is this how your hotel operates? How can you do this?" Zhang Yuchen’s brows furrowed. He had made the call and the reservations himself. How could there suddenly be no rooms?

"Sir, I’m sorry, but we have no record of a reservation call from you. And indeed, we have no rooms available at the moment," the receptionist said apologetically after checking her records.

"Sir, it’s the peak tourist season. If you had called a bit earlier, there might have been rooms, but they’re all full now. We truly are sorry."

"Sorry now? Get the receptionist who took our call this afternoon out here! She clearly said there were rooms, and now you’re telling us there aren’t?" Gui Mo snapped, irritated. He wasn’t used to being toyed with like this.

"Don’t you have a presidential suite? We’ll take that one," Shangguan You said, her eyes flashing. She restrained the impulsive Gui Mo and spoke coolly to the receptionist, handing over a gold card.

Her lips curled up slightly. She truly hadn’t expected that this major deal, one she had arranged with Shen Cheng and that mysterious person, would ultimately fall into her hands. Thinking of the amount of money involved, her smile turned a little wicked.

A gift delivered right to her doorstep. Indeed, what was hers always found its way back to her.

The receptionist’s expression grew cautious. She quickly entered the card number and then, with another apologetic smile, said, "Miss Shangguan, I’m very sorry, but that suite was already booked for tonight, and..."

"If I recall correctly, that is my exclusive suite. I pay the fees for it every month; in fact, I’ve paid for ten years in advance. Is this how your hotel scams money from its guests?" Shangguan You’s lips curled into a smile, but her voice was chilling.

"Miss Shangguan, if you had called ahead, we would certainly have held it for you. But since you arrived without notice, it has already been booked by someone else."

"I don’t care about your reasons. Get Shen Cheng out here to talk to us. The Shen Family certainly has some nerve, treating its clients this way!" Shangguan You’s voice grew colder. She truly hadn’t expected Shen Jia to be so reckless, even now.

"What’s happening here?" a clear voice interjected. Shen Jia had arrived, arm-in-arm with Wanqian, followed by Shen Congming and his wife. They were walking towards the group.

"Miss Wanqian, these guests are looking for rooms, but the hotel is completely full. Unfortunately, we have no vacancies," the receptionist explained cautiously.

"Check again. See if there are any rooms at all. These are distinguished guests; how could we possibly have no rooms for them?" Wanqian said to the receptionist, offering a polite smile towards the group. These people couldn’t be offended. She then instructed the front desk attendant to search again.

The receptionist glanced cautiously at Shen Jia. Catching her eye, she quickly pretended to search again before reporting, "Miss Wanqian, the hotel is indeed fully booked."

Shangguan You swept a cold gaze over everyone present, then pulled out her phone and quickly dialed Shen Cheng’s number. The call had barely ended when Shen Cheng himself appeared in the lobby.

When Shen Cheng saw the group of eight, he glanced at Shangguan You’s icy expression. His own composure flickered; he hadn’t expected to encounter them again so soon.

"Well, this is a surprise! What brings you all here?" Shen Cheng said quickly. "Your expenses during your stay will be on the house. Quickly, arrange the presidential suite for our guests." He glanced at the group, his eyes flicking away from Wanqian before landing in a fierce glare on Shen Jia.

He’d been quite shaken the previous night, which is why he’d brought his family here for a getaway. He truly hadn’t expected to run into Shangguan You’s group again. And Shen Jia, that little troublemaker, had been causing mischief since she was young, always managing to embarrass people.

"That won’t be necessary. CEO Shen, please adhere to our agreement. My exclusive suite has been given away. The Shen Family will now have to answer for breach of contract and fraud, along with the corresponding compensation. Our lawyers will contact you tomorrow," Shangguan You stated coldly, handing the gold card directly to Shen Cheng.

Shen Cheng trembled slightly as he stared at the gold card in his hand. This gold card... It was unique, the only one of its kind ever issued by the Shen Family, belonging to their most mysterious and most profitable client. Of course, high profits always came with high risks. But he had never, ever imagined that this particular card would turn up in Shangguan You’s possession.
