Reborn: I Won't Chase You Anymore, School Prince
Chapter 466: Sowing Discord
CHAPTER 466: CHAPTER 466: SOWING DISCORD
As they got into the car, Warren Prescott even held his hand against the door frame to prevent them from accidentally hitting their heads.
This subtle gesture made Ariana Grant keep winking at Ashley Shaw.
Clearly indicating: It’s unbelievable.
Ashley Shaw lightly shook her head, signaling her not to show her surprise too obviously.
When dealing with someone who has lost their memory, treat them like a child; being too surprised might make them unhappy.
Warren Prescott didn’t notice the silent communication between the two and went to the driver’s seat.
Originally, he thought it would just be the two of them, so he had Assistant Lowell specially wipe the passenger seat.
Who would have thought...
A flicker of disappointment flashed in Warren Prescott’s eyes.
Also feeling disappointed was Evelyn Vaughn on the fourth floor.
She was hoping it would be someone else who would come out of the dorm and get into that car.
Anyway, it didn’t matter who, as long as it wasn’t Ashley Shaw from that dorm room.
But after watching from the balcony for so long, it turned out that the one coming out was indeed Ashley Shaw!
And seeing the boy smile brightly at her, and even protect her head when she got into the car...no need to think with her head, even her toes could figure out why he was so good to her.
It’s her again!
Her again!!
Evelyn Vaughn felt like there was a fire burning in her heart, and she couldn’t tell why or when it started burning more fiercely.
Just then, a girl in the dorm room said, "How come a fat person also got in? Which of the two did the handsome guy invite?"
Another girl sneered, "Do you even need to ask? It’s obviously the class rep! Don’t you know that the class rep has been labeled a joke?"
Evelyn Vaughn looked over, "Labeled? By whom?"
The girl looked at her surprised and asked, "Haven’t you added our school’s confession page?"
Evelyn Vaughn frowned, "What confession page? The school actually has this kind of thing? Where’s this page?"
The three girls in the dorm room burst into laughter.
"Evelyn, were you too focused on studying before? You don’t even know about the confession page?"
Evelyn Vaughn blushed a little, feeling uncomfortable, but because they were all dorm mates, she just smiled and said, "My parents were strict with me before, never heard of it."
Seeing she really didn’t know, one girl explained to her, surprised.
"The confession page isn’t a real wall, it’s a QQ space. If you bump into a senior you like on the street and don’t know his name, you can get the confession page to post on the space, and everyone will help you find out who he is..."
When QQ space was mentioned, Evelyn Vaughn roughly understood.
The girl continued explaining, "It’s not just for confessions. If you lose something or have questions about the school, you can ask them to post, and lots of people will comment to help you out."
Evelyn Vaughn fully understood, nodded, and then asked, "So, her school beauty title was rated on the confession page?"
"Yes, every year at the start of school, the page rates the new beauty in the freshmen. But I heard from a senior that in previous years the votes were close, but this year, the class rep won by a landslide, leaving the second place far behind in vote count."
Another girl said, "Same as before, the second place is also from our class. Anyway, whoever gets first place earns face for our class."
Evelyn Vaughn didn’t need to ask to know that the second place was definitely Jocelyn Hayes.
She felt indescribably irritable again, looked down to see the luxury car had already driven away.
"However... why didn’t Ashley Shaw bring Jocelyn Hayes this time? Aren’t they inseparable?"
With that casual question, an idea suddenly popped into Evelyn Vaughn’s mind.
She said, "Didn’t you say the broom is broken? I’ll go borrow one from the next dorm."
After saying that, Evelyn Vaughn went outside.
The three girls didn’t think much of it and started discussing the National Day holiday.
Though it’s been less than half a month since school started, everyone misses home.
...
The next dorm was where Ashley Shaw stayed.
Evelyn Vaughn knocked on the door, and before long, someone opened it.
The person who opened the door was Jocelyn Hayes.
She thought Ashley Shaw had forgotten something, her face all smiles.
When she saw it was Evelyn Vaughn, the smile instantly disappeared.
"What’s the matter?"
Evelyn Vaughn didn’t mind her attitude, speaking warmly, "Our dorm broom is broken, I came to borrow one..."
Unexpectedly, Evelyn Vaughn did not show a good face.
"So many dorms, why ask ours? It’s broken too, not lending!"
Jocelyn Hayes was not known for having a good temper, otherwise, she wouldn’t have gone without female friends before meeting Ashley Shaw.
But Evelyn Vaughn didn’t expect Jocelyn Hayes to be so rude, and immediately cooled her face.
"We’re all classmates, why do you have to make things so ugly?"
Jocelyn Hayes exclaimed, crossing her arms, "Who is making things ugly? Can you swear you came to knock on our door, really just to borrow a broom?"
Evelyn Vaughn’s face turned pale instantly, not expecting Jocelyn Hayes to see through her so easily.
Indeed, she came over to use Ashley Shaw not taking Jocelyn Hayes with her as a reason to stir up trouble between the two.
But verbally, she still didn’t admit.
"Of course, I’m just here to borrow a broom! What else could I do besides that?"
Jocelyn Hayes chuckled.
She was also on the balcony just now, with only a wall separating her from the neighboring dorm, hearing everything clearly.
It was after her roommate mentioned she and Ashley Shaw always sticking together, but this time Ashley didn’t bring her, that Evelyn Vaughn suddenly said she would go borrow a broom.
If she went to another dorm to borrow a broom, that would be fine, but since she did come to their dorm, couldn’t Jocelyn Hayes guess what Evelyn Vaughn was up to?
Clearly, just annoyed with them, among so many dorms to borrow from, why pick theirs?
She sneered and said, "You better truly be here just to borrow a broom, but unfortunately, our dorm lends the broom to anyone but you. Try somewhere else!"
Evelyn Vaughn was so upset she turned to go back to her dorm.
But just as she was about to enter, she couldn’t resist turning back.
"I don’t understand, Jocelyn Hayes, what exactly don’t you like about me?"
Jocelyn Hayes, about to close the door, heard this and smirked, "I don’t like anything about you."
Evelyn Vaughn took a deep breath and said, "The reason? Is it just because I was at odds with Ashley Shaw?"
"Of course! Ashley’s friends are my friends. As for those who don’t like Ashley, I don’t like them either."
At this point, Evelyn Vaughn finally got to say what she initially wanted to say.
"Jocelyn Hayes, you truly treat Ashley Shaw as a good friend, but isn’t it unknown whether Ashley Shaw considers you her best friend?"
