Hu Lijuan mentioned that she had only been in this room once when they got married. It’s such a beautiful room, and she’s quite envious. Sometimes she thinks, if she gets married, she’d definitely need a husband with a spacious room.

After changing clothes, Hu Lijuan neatly folded her clothes and placed them at the end of the bed.

"Of course you can," Lin Wan said, handing the radio on the table to her. "Listen to it in bed."

Lin Wan said this while pulling her onto the bed.

"My grandma has one radio, and she listens to opera from the drama channel every day. I don’t really like it."

"The elderly usually enjoy listening to that. Grandma does, too. They’re older, and there’s a generational gap with us."

"Generational gap?" Hu Lijuan asked, puzzled.

"It’s the gap between different ages."

"Haha."

That phrase ’gap between ages’ brought them closer.

"You and I seem to have a similar build, and I have a few pieces of clothing just right for you." Things like clothes, shoes, and makeup can really bring girls closer. Though she didn’t have any makeup items.

Lin Wan said this and got up to rummage through her wardrobe.

She took out her clothes from before she got married and found two sets suitable for Hu Lijuan.

"I made these myself. There’s nothing like it outside."

"Thank you, Saozi. When cousin Rongrong got married, Saozi gave me a set of clothes, which I carefully stored at home, afraid to take them out and wear them."

"Why don’t you wear them?"

"That set of clothes is so nice, if I take it out, my other cousin would definitely fight me for it, and I can’t bear to let her win."

Lin Wan patted her with sympathy, "Once we have our own household, things will be better. If she tries to take your things then, just give her a slap."

The next day when Lin Wan woke up, Hu Lijuan’s warmth was already gone from beside her.

Her mother-in-law had already made breakfast and went to work hastily.

At home, only Grandma and the two siblings were left. Now on holiday, Hu Dong mostly runs around the streets looking for his buddies, sometimes gone for a whole day or most of it. No idea what he’s up to.

Hu Lijuan usually stays home doing laundry, cooking, and cleaning. Now, Grandma doesn’t let her do any work here, and there’s not much to do. So she comfortably keeps Grandma company and chats, making life here much better than at home.
