By late morning, all the relatives from the Zhou family had left. What remained was to visit their respective maternal grandmothers’ homes. The brothers discussed and decided to split up, each heading to their own grandmother’s house.

Zhou Xikang and Zhou Mikang went to the Lin Family with Chuxia.

During the wedding, Chuxia met Old Master Lin, Old Lady Lin, Eldest Uncle Lin Yanjun, and Aunt Lin Yanmei, but she hadn’t met Third Aunt Lin Yanfang or Fourth Aunt Lin Yanfen.

On this, Lin Yanqiu had specially explained to her that among the four sisters, she got along best with Aunt Lin Yanmei. Besides Aunt, we didn’t have any interactions with the uncles and aunts. Isn’t that odd for you, sister-in-law?"

"It’s not uncommon for siblings to be on bad terms; it’s nothing strange. Mother-in-law also told me she only has a general relationship with the Third and Fourth Aunts, hardly meeting them. She gets along best with Aunt, hence there’s more interaction.

As for Grandma and Grandpa, although they have a decent relationship with mother-in-law, overall, they favor the uncles more. That’s because mother-in-law once refused to help the uncles, so the uncles and aunts don’t like her, and naturally have less interaction."

Zhou Xikang couldn’t help but sigh, "Seems like Mom really likes sister-in-law. Yu Tao had only learned all of this last year since we got married."

"Are you getting jealous, big brother?" Chuxia observed him with a smile, "Big brother wouldn’t be that petty, right?"

"As a big man, how can I get jealous over this kind of thing? I’m just happy for my sister-in-law. Mom’s biggest taboo is our relationship with Grandma and Grandpa, so although she likes Yu Tao, she doesn’t want to bring up Grandma and Grandpa. This just shows she really, really likes sister-in-law, but even growing up, Mom has always liked Xiaomi a bit more than me. Now she likes sister-in-law more than Yu Tao, which is perfectly normal."

Chuxia replied playfully, "I’m going to tell Sister-in-law you called her narrow-minded."

Zhou Xikang sighed, "Compared to you, she is somewhat narrow-minded. If Xiaomi jokes this way, she might take it to heart and shed a few tears."

"That’s because he never jokes around. If you talked like that, Sister-in-law wouldn’t take it to heart either."

"Thanks for the compliment, sister-in-law," Zhou Xikang turned to Chuxia sitting in the back, giving a polite nod, "Keep this attitude when we get to Grandma’s house."

Chuxia understood that Zhou Xikang was concerned she might feel unwelcome at the Lin Family, so he was giving her an early heads-up.
