When Gu Yi and the others came ashore.

Many people had already spread out sheets they brought from home on the grass and started enjoying lunch.

Gu Yi and Ye Hao took Ye Family’s parents back home and planned to take Ye Qian out again.

"Brother, sister-in-law, you go ahead and have fun. I’m not going; after climbing the mountain, I’m pretty tired. I’ll just rest at home this afternoon."

Ye Qian didn’t want to be a third wheel, so she made an excuse to stay at home with her parents.

"Then it’s just the two of us."

Gu Yi looked at Ye Hao and said with a smile.

"Wherever you want to go, I’ll accompany you."

Ye Hao replied with a smile.

"Then I also want to sleep at home, haha."

Gu Yi couldn’t stop laughing as she looked at the disappointed expression on Ye Hao’s face.

"Alright, I’ll accompany you too."

Ye Hao deliberately looked Gu Yi up and down and took a while to respond.

"I’m really tired. Can I accompany you properly tomorrow?"

Luckily, it was just the two of them in the living room, otherwise, Gu Yi would’ve felt embarrassed.

"Okay, I know you’re tired. Just rest at home this afternoon."

Ye Hao held Gu Yi’s face and gently rubbed it.

It was a relaxing and happy day for Gu Yi, but not so much for Yang Lin.

After playing with Wang Li, she hurried to the barracks to find Li Dongxiang.

"Ye Hao is back. Why didn’t you tell me anything?"

She asked angrily as soon as she saw Li Dongxiang.

"Recently, my household’s Old Chen’s allowance has been held by my mother-in-law. I couldn’t even make a call to you."

Li Dongxiang said unhurriedly.

This statement left Yang Lin speechless for a while.

She knew Li Dongxiang was asking for money again; every time they met, she acted poor. Yang Lin was infuriated by Li Dongxiang’s nonchalant attitude, but she had no other choice.

"I can give you the money, but you haven’t done a single thing I asked for. I can totally find someone else."

Yang Lin knew that without spending some money, Li Dongxiang wouldn’t help her get things done.

But she couldn’t let herself be controlled by Li Dongxiang, not getting anything accomplished and spending a lot of money. She wouldn’t continue being a sucker.

"Oh, sister, don’t be mad. I’ve been doing what you asked me to do. But Gu Yi’s luck is just too good; she always manages to avoid it. You know she’s not at the barracks much either, but I’ve been looking for opportunities."

Seeing Yang Lin angry, Li Dongxiang quickly softened her tone.

As Yang Lin said, she could totally find someone else to help her, as long as she paid.

Li Dongxiang wouldn’t be foolish enough to let Yang Lin find someone else and let someone else earn the money.

"I really don’t have that much patience. If I keep waiting, Ye Hao and Gu Yi’s child will be born, and I’ll still be foolishly waiting."

Yang Lin didn’t bother hiding her intentions in front of Li Dongxiang now.

After all, since Li Dongxiang took her money, she had to help her get things done promptly. This endless delay was exhausting her time and energy.

"I understand, don’t worry. The message we put out last time, Ye Hao probably doesn’t know yet. He only came back the evening before yesterday, went to the city that afternoon, and hasn’t come back since. Last time, you saw Gu Yi dining with a man; today we’ll stir things up a bit more. Li Dongxiang quickly accepted the money and said with a smile.

"Of course, of course."

Chen Jun’s mother came back from outside, and Li Dongxiang quickly pocketed the money.

Chen Jun’s mother saw Yang Lin.

She hurried over to greet her.

"Girl, you’re here. Stay for dinner, I’ll start preparing now."

"Auntie, it’s fine. I just came to discuss something with Sister-in-law Li, and I’ll be going soon."

Once back inside and the door shut, her face fell as she reached out to Li Dongxiang.

"Mom, what do you want?"

Li Dongxiang pretended not to understand.

"Don’t play dumb with me. I saw you when I came in just now. You were pretty quick with stashing it away."

Hearing this, Li Dongxiang knew she wouldn’t be able to keep the money on her this time either.

She slowly pulled out the ten bucks from her pocket and placed it in Chen Jun’s mother’s hand.
