Reborn in the 80s: She Rewrites Life with Radiance
Chapter 60: New Understanding
CHAPTER 60: CHAPTER 60: NEW UNDERSTANDING
"My idea is that you can absorb agents to expand your reach."
"Agents? What are agents?"
This was the first time Liang Yesheng had heard of this term.
"It means replacing management. Basically, you find people or companies in certain regions to help sell your products. Of course, first, someone from your company has to promote the products locally."
Gu Yi finished speaking and looked at Liang Yesheng.
"You can advertise your company’s products on local TV, newspapers, and magazines to create a positive advertising effect, making product promotion much easier."
"Advertising effect?"
"Yes, to initially boost the product’s popularity."
Gu Yi knew that Liang Yesheng had never encountered this method before. She believed that with a little thought, he would understand how to proceed.
After a while, Liang Yesheng’s tightly furrowed brow slowly relaxed.
"Gu Yi, you really are a genius."
Suddenly, Liang Yesheng stood up excitedly. If it weren’t for gender differences, he would have given her a big hug.
"Alright, I’m heading back. You guys enjoy your meal. I won’t take up any more of your time."
Liang Yesheng turned to Ye Hao.
"Mr. Ye, I’ll treat you and your wife to dinner sometime. See you next time."
Ye Hao watched Liang Yesheng’s excited silhouette, realizing Gu Yi always brought surprises. Every meeting led to fresh insights.
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
Gu Yi also noticed Ye Hao’s gaze constantly fixed on her.
"I think I married a treasure trove."
Ye Hao joked as he looked at Gu Yi.
"Then you must cherish it, love it well, and make sure it doesn’t get snatched away."
Gu Yi continued the playful banter.
"Yeah, I’ll definitely protect it. If someone tries to snatch it away, I’ll fight them tooth and nail."
Ye Hao held Gu Yi’s hand; these words were a promise and his own caution.
After eating, they delivered their purchases to the hotel and took an afternoon nap. Gu Yi then suggested they go for a walk.
Ye Hao’s goal for today was to keep Gu Yi happy.
So when Gu Yi mentioned going out, he immediately agreed.
They hadn’t been out for long when they ran into Yang Lin.
Initially, Gu Yi intended to act as if she didn’t see her, but Yang Lin eagerly approached as soon as she spotted them.
"Captain Ye, what a coincidence."
Since Ye Hao joined the military academy, this was the first time they met. Yang Lin seemed quite happy and walked directly over to Ye Hao.
Ye Hao, usually joking around in front of Gu Yi, responded coolly upon seeing Yang Lin.
Yang Lin saw Ye Hao’s lukewarm reaction and shifted her gaze to Gu Yi, smiling as she asked.
"When did you get here, sis? Are you planning to stay for a while?"
"It’s been a few days."
As the saying goes, one does not strike a smiling face. Gu Yi responded with a smile.
"With Captain Ye at the academy, he probably doesn’t have much time to spend with you, sis. If you don’t mind, I can accompany you tomorrow to explore B City."
Yang Lin knew from Ye Hao’s enrollment in military school that they had little leisure time.
So she realized Ye Hao wouldn’t spend much time with Gu Yi.
She intended on openly doing Ye Hao a favor while subtly revealing something to Gu Yi.
After all, Gu Yi was just a rural girl and easy to deceive; she wouldn’t worry about her overthinking things.
While Yang Lin silently applauded her idea.
"No need, thank you for the offer. I have other things to do over the next few days, and little time to explore. Next time there’s a chance, I’ll definitely look for you."
Gu Yi unexpectedly declined her.
Her facial expression momentarily slipped out of control, but she quickly composed herself, smiling at Gu Yi.
"That’s such a shame. Well, I’ll accompany you if there’s an opportunity in the future."
Gu Yi merely smiled and didn’t say yes or no.
Yang Lin was about to say something.
"We have things to do, so we’re off now."
Ye Hao uttered a statement, and before Yang Lin could respond, he grabbed Gu Yi’s hand and walked away.
Yang Lin watched their hands linked together, angering her to the point of wanting to break her teeth.
Meanwhile, Gu Yi and Ye Hao were discussing her.
"What’s going on? You seemed afraid of her and hurriedly got us out of there."
Yang Lin had been a thorn in her side for a lifetime. Just now, Ye Hao seemed to rescue her.
But if she overthought it, he was simply afraid of her interacting with Yang Lin too much.
"Not really. I don’t know why, just never liked her."
Ye Hao wasn’t sure why either; he had an ordinary comradeship with Yang Lin, not leaning toward like or dislike.
But Yang Lin’s attitude towards Gu Yi last time made him somewhat averse to her, feeling something was off about her.
"Really?"
This was the first time Gu Yi heard Ye Hao express dislike for someone.
"Yeah."
Ye Hao wasn’t interested in discussing Yang Lin with Gu Yi.
"What do you want for dinner?"
He quickly changed the subject.
Gu Yi noticed he didn’t want to talk about it and didn’t pressure him any further.
"I don’t know yet. Since I’m not hungry now, why don’t we see a movie?"
It was just past 3 PM, Gu Yi had eaten a bit too much at lunch, and figured a movie would be a good way to pass the time.
"Sure."
Whatever Gu Yi suggested, Ye Hao would agree to.
The two came out of the movie around five o’clock.
Everything felt unusually strange today.
As they exited the cinema, discussing where to eat.
In the distance, they saw Li Yifan and Li Yitian.
Li Yitian was excited to see Gu Yi and Ye Hao.
He said something to Li Yifan and ran over to them.
"Brother Ye Hao, Gu Yi, I guessed you’d come here and told my brother we should try our luck."
"Did you come looking for us specifically for something?"
Gu Yi looked at Li Yitian, guessing he must have some business to discuss. But given his cheerful appearance, it didn’t seem like bad news.
"Nothing much, just my brother and I wanting to invite Ye Hao for a drink. Didn’t I say last time I’d treat?"
Li Yitian finished speaking, and Li Yifan approached them as well.
"We’re here to invite Ye Hao for drinks. You won’t mind, will you, sis?"
Li Yifan asked with a smile at Gu Yi.
Gu Yi knew of Li Yifan’s close friendship with Ye Hao. Ye Hao had come a long way, thanks in part to his assistance.
"Why would I mind? We were just debating where to eat, and you guys showing up saves us the trouble of deciding."
Gu Yi replied with a smile.
"Let’s go, I’ll take you for some hot pot. It’s too cold, and some mutton will warm you up."
After Gu Yi spoke, Li Yitian quickly chimed in.
"Are you alright with that, sis?"
Li Yifan was concerned Gu Yi might not be accustomed to it and asked for her opinion.
Ye Hao also looked at her.
"If you don’t like it, we can opt for something else."
Ye Hao knew that Gu Yi’s hometown didn’t have hot pot, and he wasn’t sure if she’d enjoy it.
"I’m up for it. Let’s eat; it’s indeed a bit chilly."
Gu Yi instinctively leaned closer to Ye Hao. It had been comfortable in the cinema, but it was quite cold outside.
"Let’s go then, it’s just ahead, I’ll lead the way."
When everyone agreed, Li Yitian started heading forward while speaking.
Ye Hao tightly clenched Gu Yi’s hand and followed Li Yitian along with Li Yifan.
