CHAPTER 62: CHAPTER 62 JEALOUS

Early the next morning, Ye Hao got up early to prepare to go to school.

He walked to the door, turned around, and looked at Gu Yi still sound asleep.

He walked back, bent down, gently kissed Gu Yi on the forehead, and helped her cover up with the blanket.

He suddenly stood up straight, took a deep breath, and strode out of the door.

After going out, he was afraid of disturbing Gu Yi’s sleep, so he slowed down and gently closed the door.

Gu got up, tidied herself up, went out for breakfast, and returned to the hotel.

She waited for a while longer, and Li Yitian still hadn’t come.

She started organizing the things she bought in the room.

To make things easier to carry, she even went shopping for some bags.

A suitcase barely fit everything inside.

After she was done tidying up, she finally heard someone knocking on the door.

She opened the door to find Li Yitian leaning against the wall.

"Did you drink too much last night?"

Gu looked at Li Yitian, who seemed like he had just woken up.

"Yeah, a bit too much, but I’m okay. Here, your ticket. Even though I was pretty drunk, I didn’t forget this. Pretty considerate, right?"

Li Yitian had indeed drunk too much yesterday, causing chaos until midnight, and couldn’t get up in the morning.

If it weren’t for Gu needing to go back, he’d definitely have stayed in bed all day.

But he heard that Gu had to return last night, so he got someone to buy her ticket and intentionally took a detour to pick it up, which is why he was late.

"Thank you, hold on a moment."

Gu said as she turned back into the room.

"Here’s the money for the ticket. Thank you for buying it for me."

She counted out the ticket money and hotel expenses together for Li Yitian.

"No need to be so formal, huh? Didn’t I say that once you came, I would take care of everything? Consider this your reward for the trip. I won’t give you anything else."

Li Yitian didn’t reach out to take it; he had already thought it through.

Now they are in a cooperative relationship. As per Gu’s personality, she wouldn’t charge extra for helping out.

Consider this his sincerity in the partnership.

"Let’s go; let’s not waste time and head straight to the shop. Not sure how business will be today."

He spoke as he turned around and walked out.

"Alright, I’ll treat you to lunch then."

Gu thought since he wouldn’t accept the money, she’d find another opportunity to repay it later. She followed Li Yitian out.

"Okay, after we make some money from our cooperation, you can treat me. If you don’t, I won’t accept it."

Li Yitian said with a smile.

"Alright, the place will be up to you."

Gu smiled too.

In the evening, Li Yitian drove Gu back, but he didn’t get out of the car.

"I won’t disturb you tonight, lest I ruin Brother Ye Hao’s plans, and he’d surely chop me up."

Li Yitian said, thinking of Ye Hao’s fierce demeanor, and shuddered.

Gu was amused by his antics, finding him funny.

She confirmed that even though Li Yitian appeared mature on the outside, at heart, he was just an overgrown boy.

"Drive safely on the way back, and call me if anything happens."

Now that they’re in a partnership, Gu hoped she could help as much as she can.

"Alright, I know. Next time tell me beforehand when you come."

"Okay, goodbye."

Li Yitian drove straight back.

Gu returned to her hotel room and saw Ye Hao already waiting at the door.

"Have you been here a while?"

Gu felt that after a busy day, returning to see Ye Hao was a real pleasure.

"No, I just got here too."

Ye Hao, seeing Gu approach, quickly stepped forward to take the bag from her hand.

"Did Li Yitian give you the ticket?"

Ye Hao asked again.

"He did, gave it to me this morning. How did you know?"

Gu opened the door, walked inside, and then turned to look at Ye Hao.

She was quite curious about how Ye Hao knew this.

Li Yitian had given it to her this morning, and she hadn’t had the chance to tell Ye Hao yet.

"I called Li Camp Commander today and asked him to help buy the ticket. He said Li Yitian had arranged it yesterday. This Li Yitian sure is attentive to you."

Gu watched as Ye Hao spoke casually while avoiding her gaze. After closing the door, he directly passed by her and placed her bag on the bedside table.

Though his words seemed laid-back, Gu could tell he was a bit unhappy.

The reason was Li Yitian. She suddenly realized that Ye Hao was actually quite easy to understand.

But what she didn’t know was that only when you care do you notice his every move and easily capture his emotional changes.

Ye Hao cherishes Gu, which is why he naturally shows his truest self to her.

"What? Are you jealous?"

Gu moved closer to him.

Ye Hao didn’t speak and just stood there staring blankly.

"Really jealous?"

Gu cautiously asked again.

"Yes, I admit I’m very jealous. He arranged everything for you here, but I’m your husband."

Ye Hao was silent for a while.

He turned to Gu, looking into her eyes seriously.

Ye Hao really disliked someone being better to Gu than him, her husband.

Gu came because Li Yitian needed help. Li Yitian booked her hotel and now the ticket too.

"Don’t be mad. It’s just because we’re in a partnership."

Gu noticed Ye Hao still didn’t intend to speak.

"I came because he asked for my help, and he said all these were my rewards, so it’s normal for him to pay. Don’t be mad, okay?"

Gu said, unconsciously acting coyly towards Ye Hao.

"Really?"

Ye Hao looked down at Gu.

"Really, I tried to give him the money this morning. He said so. Even though I’m not that capable, I can earn this money on this trip!"

Gu said smugly.

Ye Hao looked at Gu standing proudly in front of him, gazing up at him from a 45-degree angle, and his mood instantly improved.

He realized he’d been petty this time.

"I know I married an amazing beauty. I apologize this time, but I’m really jealous that he could arrange all this for you. Next time, give me the chance, okay?"

Ye Hao wrapped one arm around Gu’s waist and pinched her cheek with the other.

Ye Hao could be flexible, admitting his mistake as soon as he realized it, but also smartly expressing his thoughts to Gu.

"If it wasn’t for experiencing it firsthand, who’d have thought our great Captain Ye could get jealous over such a little thing?"

Gu said, laughing as she leaned into Ye Hao’s arms.

"Why? It just proves your charms are so great that Ye has completely fallen for you."

Ye Hao used this to also express his feelings to Gu.

"Next time, when you come, make sure you tell me first. Otherwise, I’ll end up drowning in the vinegar jar."

"You’re nothing like the Ye Hao I used to know, but I’m really happy. If there are any misunderstandings in the future, talk them out like today, okay? Don’t sulk silently, alright?"

Gu felt that it’s best for both to speak up. Otherwise, even the best relationship would erode if misunderstandings are left unaddressed.
