Gu Haojun turned around and saw his sister running out of breath, and couldn’t help but smile indulgently, "Why can’t I come back?"

"Alright then." Gu Lingling took Gu Haojun’s arm, "We’re not off work yet. Let me take you to our office first, and after work, we’ll go eat something delicious together."

"By the way, Sister Xiao Jing is also working at the transformer factory now. Let’s call her after work," Gu Lingling suggested.

Zhou Qing lit a cigarette and saw Gu Lingling walking in arm in arm with a man in a military uniform, and his expression immediately soured.

Tang Wei was startled, then his face showed a smile that even Gu Lingling couldn’t quite understand, "Hello, big brother. I’m Tang Wei."

He hadn’t expected Gu Lingling to introduce her brother to him so formally, or did it mean she actually liked him too, hence the introduction?

Who told him to stand here blocking the way? Even if he wanted to ignore it, he couldn’t. And isn’t this just the way to introduce someone? How else should it be done?

"You can just call me Mr. Gu." Gu Haojun smiled and shook hands with him, "Please take good care of my sister in the future."

It wasn’t that Gu Haojun was overthinking; it was just that his sister was too good. Judging by this guy’s earlier flustered behavior, there was no guaranteeing he didn’t have some improper thoughts about Lingling.

Gu Lingling, however, didn’t notice the undercurrents between the two and continued to happily introduce Gu Haojun to everyone until they entered the office, "Hi, everyone, this is my big brother Gu Haojun."

She then went on to introduce the office staff to Gu Haojun one by one.

"Hello, Mr. Gu, I’m Liu Zhi." Liu Zhi said with a cheeky grin.

"So you’re Liu Zhi, huh? I’ve heard about you from my sister in her letters. Thank you for taking such good care of her," Gu Haojun said with a smile.

Following behind, Tang Wei was momentarily startled, then gave a self-mocking smile.

He thought he was special to Gu Lingling, but it turned out his importance wasn’t even on par with Liu Zhi.

It seems Zhou Qing was right; if you keep things bottled up inside, others will never know.

But, would saying it make her like him?

On this question, Tang Wei himself wasn’t sure.

But does he want to continue in this unclear state? If one day she really meets someone she likes, wouldn’t he be left with no chance at all?
