Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes
Chapter 126: If I Lose My Mind, Let It Be After Revenge
CHAPTER 126: CHAPTER 126: IF I LOSE MY MIND, LET IT BE AFTER REVENGE
Ava Wright thought to herself.
That twisted jealousy turned into a calculated conspiracy.
Because Hailey Smith was standing not far away, Ava Wright was afraid of being discovered, so she didn’t continue to eavesdrop and quietly left.
Godfery Shaw and Amelia Wright stood facing each other.
Godfery Shaw and Amelia Wright were caught in a deathly silence.
He just wanted to know what was wrong with Amelia Wright now, how she could draw such an Injured Crane Painting.
But Amelia Wright didn’t cooperate. After she hurt Godfery Shaw, her whole demeanor became increasingly off.
"Godfery Shaw, go away, do you understand? I told you to go away, don’t come near me!" Amelia Wright shouted, her emotions nearly out of control.
"Alright, don’t get agitated, I’m leaving, I’m leaving right now." Godfery Shaw quickly stepped back, afraid of provoking Amelia Wright.
Amelia Wright grabbed the blood-stained hairpin, turned, and ran quickly.
Hailey Smith, who had been following Amelia Wright, had no idea what was going on.
He only saw Young Master Shaw and Young Madam having a quarrel, and then Young Master Shaw was injured again...
Hailey Smith hurriedly ran over, worriedly saying, "Young Master, what happened between you and Young Madam, you’re injured, I’ll take you back to the Imperial Garden first."
Godfery Shaw, however, refused, gloomily asking, "You’ve been following her recently, has anything happened to her lately?"
Hailey Smith hadn’t been inside the cultural museum before, nor watched the live broadcast of the national painting exhibition, completely unaware of that painting.
At this moment, still bewildered, he said, "Nothing happened, Young Madam has been fine lately, Young Master, you come every night, Young Madam is alright, you can see it, and also, you must return to the Imperial Garden now."
"Enough nonsense, Basil Smith is already on his way, he’ll be here soon." After saying that, Godfery Shaw sternly instructed, "First go and keep an eye on Amelia. Her current state is very unstable, then prepare a detailed report for me, where she has been, and what she has done recently, every detail."
Hailey Smith nodded dazedly.
What happened to Young Madam? He was keeping watch every day, and didn’t notice anything unusual?
Soon enough Basil Smith appeared, and seeing his brother take Young Master Shaw away, Hailey Smith also hurried off to find Young Madam.
Amelia Wright returned to the old town and locked herself in her room alone.
She tightly gripped the hairpin and slashed it hard across her arm, suppressing her voice, "Amelia Wright! Calm down, you can turn into a madwoman, but only after you’ve gotten your revenge."
Blood dripped, drop by drop, from her fair arm onto the ground.
Amelia Wright slid down from behind the door, sitting on the ground, huddled, hugging her knees, her long eyelashes trembling lightly, feeling inexplicably pitiful.
At this time, many people were calling Amelia Wright.
The phone kept ringing until the battery died and it shut off.
Robert Reed wanted to find Amelia Wright, Emma Lewis rushed back from the Capital City.
Emily Allen was probably the one who understood Amelia Wright’s emotions the best. After that live broadcast, Emily Allen had a stern look, saying he wanted to return immediately, and Edward Allen certainly didn’t want to stop him, bought a ticket, and sent Emily Allen back to Riverwood.
Yet no one knew that Amelia Wright’s mental issues had become so severe that she started harming herself.
Since the day she was reborn, she no longer cared about her body.
Now she was using self-harm as a means to punish herself for hurting those she shouldn’t have hurt.
Robert Reed was the first to find her.
Unable to get through on the phone, Robert Reed went directly to the old town.
By this time, Hailey Smith had returned to the old town and was guarding the door to Amelia Wright’s room.
Ignoring Hailey Smith standing by, Robert Reed walked up and knocked on the door, "Apprentice, it’s me, your teacher has come, are you home? I have something to talk to you about."
There was no sound from the room.
Robert Reed looked quizzically at Hailey Smith.
Hailey Smith quietly said, "My mistress is inside, but she’s not seeing anyone."
Worried that Amelia might be in trouble, Robert Reed blackened his face and said, "Then I’ll get a locksmith to come and break the lock."
Hailey Smith quickly waved his hand to refuse, "Old Mr. Reed, you know my mistress’s temper. Once she decides something, unless she figures it out herself, no one can do anything. She is fine now, but if you force the lock open, something might really happen."
Robert Reed stood silent for a while, then walked to the door, speaking kindly, "Amelia, do you remember the promise you once made to me? You must not die, understand? No matter what happens, your teacher is here."
Inside the room, Amelia Wright bit her lower lip tightly, not daring to make a sound, even with blood dripping from her lips, she didn’t let go.
The better the teacher treated her, the more guilty she felt.
If it weren’t for the hatred from her past life, she would be the most obedient student for him.
But there were no ’ifs’.
After Robert Reed finished speaking, he didn’t know if Amelia Wright heard him, he sighed and left.
Hailey Smith also sighed, wondering what could possibly be done.
That afternoon, Emma Lewis arrived but still couldn’t enter the room.
Another hour passed before Edward Allen and Emily Allen arrived.
Seeing Emily Allen return, Hailey Smith seemed to see a savior.
"You’ve finally come back, we’re all out of ideas here. Your aunt is inside, refusing to see anyone, refusing to let anyone in. You give it a try."
Emily Allen pressed his lips tightly together.
Edward Allen wanted to go up as well, but Hailey Smith quickly stopped him, "Buddy, you can’t come near. If you do, it might prevent Emily from getting in too."
Emily Allen walked to the door and knocked politely three times, just as his aunt had taught him.
Inside the room, Amelia Wright lay curled up on the bed, remaining motionless even when she heard the knocking.
Emily softly called out, "Auntie, I’m back."
The life in Amelia Wright’s eyes flickered; she opened them, her curly eyelashes flapping like delicate little wings.
Standing by the door, Emily Allen said softly, "Auntie, what’s wrong? Don’t you want me anymore?"
His voice was very small, as if trying hard not to show his panic.
Amelia Wright finally came to her senses.
Emily Allen needed her.
At that moment, she uncontrollably remembered the child in her belly, whom she had repeatedly ignored.
The child needed her too.
She couldn’t fall apart.
Supporting herself with her arms, she sat up from the bed.
The wounds on her arm were quite shocking, her arms and the bed were covered in dried blood.
But Amelia Wright didn’t care about that anymore, shakily getting out of bed, she unlocked the door.
In a hoarse voice, she called out, "Emily Allen."
Amelia Wright stretched out her hands toward Emily Allen.
Emily Allen’s anxious demeanor immediately vanished, and he ran to Amelia Wright, throwing himself into her arms.
Hailey Smith, watching from a distance, finally breathed a sigh of relief, immediately sending a message to inform Young Master Shaw although Young Master Shaw’s situation might have spiraled out of control, whether he could calmly read the message was uncertain.
Edward Allen worriedly wanted to go and take a look.
Hailey Smith shook his head, "Buddy, don’t go yet, come back in a couple of days. Right now, only Emily Allen can help the mistress recover."
Edward Allen was still worried.
Hailey Smith furrowed his brow and said, "I say, brother, don’t tell me you’re interested in my mistress. Don’t you think of stirring up any trouble!"
Edward Allen quickly shook his head, his face flushing red, "What nonsense are you saying? Amelia Wright is a benefactor to our family, doing something for her is what I should do."
Hailey Smith muttered softly, "That’s good then, my mistress has someone in her heart."
Edward Allen looked at Hailey Smith with puzzlement.
He had inquired about Amelia Wright’s situation.
Amelia Wright and Julius Shaw had divorced. Earlier, because of the reporters’ ambush, her face was disfigured, and she was taken away by Young Master Shaw.
Could it be that the divorce with Julius Shaw was because of entanglement with Young Master Shaw?
