CHAPTER 367: CHAPTER 367: IF IT’S GODFERY SHAW, ANYTHING GOES

Godfery Shaw came back, and Nancy Allen felt a rush of panic in her heart.

She reached into the wardrobe, grabbed one of Godfery’s shirts randomly, and quickly put it on. She only buttoned the middle three buttons when Godfery walked in.

Since Nancy had been using the bathroom, Godfery had been going to the vacant room next door for showers. He had just finished showering and was wearing a bathrobe as he returned, only to see this scene.

The two of them locked eyes.

Nancy was so embarrassed she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.

What kind of awkward situation was this!

In romantic dramas, the female lead is always without clothes, showing off her long legs in the male lead’s shirt, and the male lead is invariably mesmerized.

Nancy felt that Godfery’s gaze was indeed sparkling at that moment.

Godfery quickly closed the door behind him, afraid anyone might accidentally come upstairs and see Nancy like this.

Godfery was very tall, and his shirt was huge on Nancy, with long sleeves.

Nancy raised her hand slightly, allowing a sleeve to slide down, and awkwardly said, "I think I can explain."

Godfery walked up to Nancy, his voice today exceptionally magnetic and deep, "No need to explain, Nancy. If you want to wear my clothes, I don’t mind."

Nancy looked innocent, "I actually didn’t want to wear it, it wasn’t intentional."

But given her appearance—long legs, underdressed—the explanation seemed flimsy.

Godfery got closer, and Nancy could even smell the fragrance of Godfery’s body wash.

She nervously clutched the hem of the shirt, her heart racing, her face red. In such a scene, she felt something indescribable was about to happen.

Godfery suddenly squatted down and reached out with both hands towards Nancy.

He did not touch Nancy, only extended his hands, giving Nancy the choice to decide whether to move closer.

Nancy bit her lip. She didn’t like getting close to people, and even with those she trusted, she tended to be somewhat cold and not too intimate.

But the person in front of her was Godfery.

Godfery was tall, squatting while Nancy stood, only slightly taller than him.

Briefly hesitating, Nancy blushed and stepped forward into Godfery’s arms, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Godfery closed his arms, holding Nancy close.

One hand around the waist, one hand on her leg.

Nancy only felt that Godfery’s hand was so warm, like a hot water bottle once used to warm her in childhood, freshly filled, and pressing against her, warming her thoroughly.

Nancy was flushed head to toe, her fair skin showing a hint of pink.

The hand around her waist tightened.

Nancy knew what was about to happen, and in truth, she didn’t intend to refuse.

As long as it was Godfery, it was okay.

"Nancy!" Godfery whispered hoarsely.

Nancy shivered, her eyes and nose were red.

That weak appearance, easy to pick, seemed to pluck Godfery’s heartstrings over and over, making it hard for him to stay calm.

Godfery couldn’t stop himself from kissing her, and his large hand slowly moved upwards under the shirt’s hem.

Nancy leaned weakly against Godfery.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Sophie Allen called out sweetly from the door, "Mom, are you asleep? I want to sleep with you today."

Nancy: "..."

Godfery: "..."

Nancy came to her senses, hurriedly stepped out of Godfery’s reach, her voice trembling slightly, "I’m... I’m not asleep, I’ll be right out."

Sophie giggled, "Okay, I’ll wait for Mom."

Nancy grabbed her pajamas and quickly went to the bathroom to change.

Godfery already had a sullen face.

Nancy blushed and stammered, "I... We’ll... next time... next time."

Finishing her words, Nancy quickly ran out of the room.

Watching Nancy flee in panic, Godfery’s expression softened. He went to the bathroom to take a cold shower to calm himself down.

That night, Godfery dreamt.

In the dream, Nancy transformed into a siren, calling him Shaw and demanding kisses and embraces.

Making Godfery get up in the middle of the night for another cold shower, his emotions complicated for quite a while.

He had always thought himself to be a person beyond such desires.

Unable to keep calm, Godfery went to the room where Sophie was staying.

The room was a children’s room, arranged after Joyce learned about Sophie’s existence, with a pink and tender color scheme and various dolls. Knowing Sophie liked drawing, some famous paintings decorated the room.

Entering the room, Godfery saw Nancy and Sophie asleep, both with poor sleeping postures. Sophie had wrapped herself in the quilt, while Nancy lay next to her, only covering herself with a corner and curling up from the cold.

Godfery initially intended just to check on them but, seeing this scene, he directly carried Nancy back to his room.

He lay down with Nancy, covering her with his quilt, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

Nancy felt cold initially, but sensing the warmth nearby, unconsciously nestled closer to Godfery.

Godfery thought she was awake and softly called, "Nancy."

Nancy, seemingly disturbed from asleep, mumbled and snuggled into Godfery’s arms.

Godfery couldn’t distinguish dream from reality.

Finally, he forcibly calmed himself, held Nancy tightly, and gradually fell asleep.

Next morning.

Nancy awoke.

She thought she was asleep with Sophie.

In the morning daze, she kissed the person beside her, then realized something was off with the touch and her hazy eyes focused.

She clearly saw Godfery staring brightly at her early in the morning.

Nancy suddenly became a bit tense, "Godfery... Godfery, why are you here? No, why am I in your room?"

Godfery calmly replied, "Yesterday I checked to see if you and Sophie were sleeping well, found that Sophie had taken all your quilt, worried you’d get sick, so I brought you over."

Nancy’s eyes carried some disbelief.

Seeing this, Godfery took out his phone, opened the album to show Nancy.

When he took Nancy away yesterday, he snapped a picture as evidence.

Of course, the photo wasn’t taken for Nancy but intended to privately show Sophie, so she wouldn’t cling to Nancy at night.

Nancy saw herself asleep, curled up coldly due to the poor sleeping posture, causing the pajama to ride up and reveal a portion of her slim waist.

Nancy’s face flushed as she reached to grab the phone, "Delete it quickly."

Godfery hid the phone behind him, and Nancy reached to grab it, leading to a playful tussle.

Finally, seeing Nancy was slightly out of breath, Godfery intentionally let Nancy snatch the phone.

Nancy took the phone, ready to delete.

Godfery said somberly, "Nancy, I don’t have any photos of you in my phone. I want to keep one."

Nancy’s hand paused, feeling a bit hesitant.

Thinking for a moment, she said, "Or... we can take a proper picture later."

Godfery lowered his head playfully, "I want to keep some of your candid shots."

Godfery lowered his head, and Nancy gazed at his soft short hair, a tuft standing out against her.

What to do?

Godfery’s being unfair!

Completely can’t steel her heart!
