Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes
Chapter 371: Godfery Shaw, Save Me
CHAPTER 371: CHAPTER 371: GODFERY SHAW, SAVE ME
She dreamed of her arduous climb up the mountain, struggling to pick the most beautiful flower at the peak, but a slip of her foot prevented her from touching the blossom and sent her rolling down.
Then she dreamed again of struggling in past hatreds.
Dreamed of Godfery Shaw and Julius Shaw, both looking at her.
Julius Shaw knelt before her, imploring her, forbidding her from leaving him.
Godfery Shaw said sorrowfully, "Nancy, goodbye."
"Ah!" Nancy Allen screamed as she woke up.
She awoke at an unknown time, gasping for air like a fish deprived of oxygen.
Outside, it was dark; it must have been a dream, all that had happened before must be a dream!
Nancy saw the person beside her, looked at the face she liked, unable to discern who it was, unable to distinguish between dream and reality.
She cried out with grievance and a sob, "Godfery Shaw."
Julius Shaw’s expression changed again and again, finally suppressing his violent emotions, gripping Nancy’s chin, saying, "Nancy, I am Julius Shaw."
Nancy shrank back in terror, curling up like she was startled.
Her snow-white skin was covered in red marks, terrified like a trapped beast.
"Don’t come over."
"You stay away!"
She shouted hoarsely.
The obvious fear and terror made Julius Shaw’s gaze change gradually, with the last shred of sobriety turning into a reckless madness.
He stubbornly seized Nancy’s arm, stopping her retreat, and said word by word, "Nancy, you must not fear me!"
Nancy seemed deaf to everything, only continuously shaking her head, crying out not to come over.
Her voice was hoarse, tears welled in her red eyes, she was truly afraid.
Nancy, who had never feared even death, was now very afraid.
The hope she barely saw was wiped out by Julius Shaw in an instant.
She cried out in despair, with a sob, "Godfery Shaw... Godfery Shaw, save me..."
Julius Shaw listened with reddened eyes.
His grip on Nancy’s arm unknowingly tightened, he shouted sternly, "Nancy, you are mine, you can only be mine. You can like both me and my brother, but if you must choose one, it must be me!"
The candy he had dreamed of his entire life was finally within his grasp, how could he ever let go, even in death he wouldn’t!
Nancy murmured in a curled-up position, "I hurt... I hurt so much."
In an instant of panic, Julius Shaw released his grip, seeing the marks left on Nancy’s arm, seeing the bruises and red marks all over her, his face changed dramatically.
He directly picked up Nancy from the bed, with a sinister expression took her to the bathroom to cleanse her wounds.
Nancy struggled desperately, her small helpless hands continuously pushed Julius Shaw, her nails leaving marks on his body.
Julius Shaw seemed to feel no pain, indifferent to Nancy’s resistance.
The house in the old town was small, without a bathtub, only a shower.
Water from the shower flowed downward, and because of Nancy’s desperate resistance, both of them ended up soaking wet.
Nancy was like a drenched kitten, even shivering was under Julius Shaw’s control, that weakened resistance was nothing to Julius Shaw.
But no matter how much he washed, those red marks wouldn’t fade, it seemed as if red plum blossoms bloomed on her tender snow-white skin.
This realization struck Julius Shaw, he had hurt her.
Julius Shaw began to forcibly regain his composure.
He cleaned Nancy thoroughly, changed her clothes, dried her hair.
Nancy was extremely exhausted, already running a slight fever unable to struggle, consciousness faint.
At an unknown hour in the early morning, Julius Shaw went to the kitchen to cook plain noodles for Nancy.
He supported Nancy to sit up, diligently feeding her, "Nancy, are you hungry? Open your mouth."
Nancy hugged the blanket sitting there, her eyes seemingly devoid of hope, dazed and unmoving, neither opening her mouth.
Julius Shaw’s expression was stubborn, but his tone was forced soft, "Nancy isn’t hungry, right? Then sleep, eat tomorrow morning."
Julius Shaw set down the bowl, intending to assist Nancy to lie down, Nancy’s gaze turned fearful whilst looking at Julius Shaw.
Julius Shaw spoke obscurely, "Don’t worry, I won’t touch you."
Nancy, like a frightened bird, huddled at the innermost part of the bed, distancing herself from Julius Shaw as much as possible.
Julius Shaw cared for her like Godfery Shaw did, but Nancy knew clearly that he was not Godfery Shaw.
He was the one who ruined her and Godfery Shaw’s future.
Confronted with hatred and harm, Nancy was resolute.
But Julius Shaw was different, Julius Shaw was the benefactor from her past life.
This rendered Nancy incapable of exacting revenge, leaving only hopelessness in her heart.
Engulfed by the night, seemingly never to see another dawn.
...
The next day.
Daylight came.
As the light gradually brightened, the lamp’s glow diminished, insignificant.
The room’s atmosphere remained oppressive.
Nancy’s frail body still ran a fever.
Throughout the day, no matter what Julius Shaw did, Nancy completely ignored, silent, refusing to eat or take medication.
Julius Shaw’s hostility grew as time passed.
The kind that made one dread, bloodthirsty and tyrannical.
After Nancy once again spat out the medicine Julius Shaw forcefully fed her, Julius Shaw brought a fruit knife over.
Nancy merely glanced indifferently at the knife, Julius Shaw could kill or maim, she didn’t mind anymore.
However, Julius Shaw, with a face full of shadow, handed the knife to Nancy.
He spoke to Nancy, "If you hate me, you can kill me."
Julius Shaw was unafraid of death, he inherently lived for Nancy, if dying by Nancy’s hand was meaningful, but as long as he was alive, how could he leave Nancy?
Nancy wanted to shake off the dagger in her hand.
Yet Julius Shaw clutched tightly her hand, she couldn’t shake it off.
Julius Shaw wouldn’t let Nancy escape, like a demon he tempted, "Nancy, if you lack the strength, just move your fingers a little, I will help you, however deep you want to stab, I will assist."
Like a madman, he incited Nancy to harm him.
Julius Shaw’s mind was inherently twisted, the first time he faced Nancy, he birthed thoughts of breaking her legs and locking her away, never letting her leave again.
Nancy seemed cornered, her hands continuously retreated.
She hated that Julius Shaw had wrecked her future yet had no way to act against him.
The person before her, had once time and again protected her, once rushed into the Wright family’s burning site to save her, he and Godfery Shaw were the most trusted apart from her parents.
How could she harm Julius Shaw?
Nancy finally spoke, her voice hoarse with a struggling plea, "Don’t force me!"
Yet Julius Shaw looked into Nancy’s eyes, like a hellish fiend, compelling again.
"Nancy won’t eat or drink, seeking death? Truthfully, I wouldn’t mind, I’d just as well accompany Nancy in death, what about brother then?"
Nancy’s whole body trembled, more anguish etched into her expression.
Julius Shaw continued, "And those family and friends worried about Nancy?"
Nancy, with red blazing eyes, screamed hoarsely, "Julius Shaw, I hate you!"
