Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes
Chapter 48: Young Master, You Have Misunderstood the Young Madam
CHAPTER 48: CHAPTER 48: YOUNG MASTER, YOU HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD THE YOUNG MADAM
Amelia Wright’s eyes couldn’t see clearly, and her body was excessively weak.
She knew these were people from the Imperial Garden, so she didn’t resist.
Soon she was taken back to the Imperial Garden, but she wasn’t brought to her room; instead, she was locked in the confinement room for staff who made mistakes.
The confinement room was dimly lit, making her feel blind and unable to see anything. Listening to the locked door, Amelia didn’t understand why this was happening and felt a bit stunned.
Why did Godfery Shaw lock her up?
She had clearly been trying to avoid things turning out this way.
Why did it still come to this?
She couldn’t be locked up; she had many things to do. The hostility in Amelia’s eyes grew stronger.
The next moment, her body stiffened, and she suddenly dug her nails fiercely into the wound on her palm.
The bandaged wound was torn open, and fresh blood instantly seeped through the white gauze.
The pain brought Amelia back to her senses. She wouldn’t allow herself to hold hostility toward Godfery Shaw.
Godfery was the best person to her besides her family.
She couldn’t go mad!
She couldn’t do anything to harm Godfery!
Locked up, Amelia’s eyes were filled with fluctuating hostility, and she kept digging into the wound on her palm over and over.
Conflicted consciousness and chaos engulfed Amelia.
Amelia curled up on the ground in pain.
The wound on her palm, the blood thoroughly soaked the gauze.
Crimson slowly spread.
...
On the other side, Emma Lewis brought the doctor uncle home, only to find no one was there.
She thought Amelia might have returned to the Imperial Garden, but considering Amelia’s condition, it was uncertain whether she safely returned.
Emma was very worried and happened to have Basil Smith’s number.
She quickly dialed it.
As soon as the call connected,
Emma spoke rapidly, "How’s Amelia? Did she return to the Imperial Garden?"
Basil responded indifferently, "Yes."
Emma breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Did you find a doctor to check on her condition?"
Basil nonchalantly replied, "I don’t have time right now."
Emma instantly blew up. Amelia’s condition was so terrible, and the Shaw family wasn’t taking care of it?
What a ridiculous excuse of having no time!
Is the Shaw family so high and mighty!
Even if they are, they shouldn’t bully people like this!
Emma didn’t want to say another word, she hung up the phone directly, and stormed off to confront them.
She was stopped at the entrance of the Imperial Garden, arrogantly demanding to see Basil.
Basil didn’t want to deal with it initially, but considering she was the only person aware of the Young Master’s uncontrolled state, he met her.
As soon as Emma saw Basil, she was blunt, "Aren’t you quite free? How come you have no time now?"
Basil pushed up his glasses, "The Young Master is slightly injured."
Emma thought Amelia was also hurt! And her eyesight was almost gone!
She was furious and her words were even harsher, "What’s with your attitude? Did the Young Master of the Shaw family die? If not, with so many of you, how come no one has time to check on Amelia?"
Basil’s expression darkened upon hearing this: "Miss Lewis, please mind your words. The Young Master was injured for the Young Madam, and she only took a look at the hospital. Not only did she not stay to take care of the Young Master, but she also voluntarily left with Marsh Smith. What attitude should I have?"
"Voluntarily?" Emma widened her eyes.
"The Young Master and I saw with our own eyes the Young Madam leaving with Marsh Smith." Basil spoke with a stern expression.
Emma recalled that when she saw Amelia, Amelia was so weak she couldn’t even attempt to escape, only able to cry for help.
She suddenly understood why Amelia was like this. If it were just a hand injury, she wouldn’t be this way.
Amelia, who wouldn’t go to the hospital even when injured, actually went to visit Godfery Shaw in the hospital!
It’s not that she didn’t stay to take care of Godfery, she simply couldn’t stay in the hospital.
They had wronged Amelia!
Understanding the truth, Emma took several deep breaths to suppress her anger, not wanting Amelia to continue being misunderstood, she patiently explained.
"Do you know she has a phobia of hospitals? She can’t go there at all, and you say she didn’t want to care for Godfery. Ha, with so many of you, no one noticed her abnormality?"
Basil was momentarily stunned, he did notice the Young Madam was acting weird before, but assumed it was because she was frightened by the car accident they witnessed.
He stubbornly replied, "Then the Young Madam should have told the Young Master instead of leaving with Marsh Smith."
Emma’s eyebrows sharpened, and unable to bear it any longer, she threw a punch at Basil, but at the last second, she diverted it, hitting the wall instead.
She gritted her teeth and said, "Do you know how severe her phobia is? Just going to the hospital could nearly kill her. When she ran out, Marsh Smith forcibly took her away. When I saw her, she was on the road, desperately fighting Marsh for the steering wheel during the crash, and she was calling for help from me!"
"Did you f***ing hear that? She was calling for help!"
Basil was truly stunned this time.
He sharply looked up at Emma.
Emma laughed coldly, "Amelia is someone who’s wronged but won’t retaliate or explain. If you dare wrong her again, I..."
Emma initially planned to say that if they wronged Amelia again, she’d beat him to the point his mother wouldn’t recognize him.
But looking at this refined yet unafraid-of-violence Basil, Emma suddenly felt that threating a physical beating wouldn’t affect Basil much.
When she punched the wall, she’d already cornered Basil there, she, at 180cm, was taller than Basil’s 175cm, as if pinning him against the wall.
Emma suddenly lowered her head and bit Basil’s lips.
Basil was utterly stunned, his breath fogging up his glasses.
Only then did Emma arrogantly announce, "If you wrong her again, I’ll sleep with you!"
Basil’s face turned blue, then purple, then red, like a chameleon.
Getting a normally meticulous person this agitated, Emma felt slightly appeased.
Yet feeling worried and impatient, she told Basil, "If you all don’t have time, fine, Godfery’s not handling it, I will! Get Amelia out here, her eyes can’t see, I’ll have my uncle examine her."
At this, Basil’s expression changed suddenly, and he turned to run back into the villa.
Emma wanted to follow but was stopped at the entrance of the Imperial Garden.
Angry, she kicked the large door of the Imperial Garden, but knowing she’d already cleared up the misunderstanding for Amelia, she didn’t force her way in.
Basil ran directly into the Imperial Garden, up to the second floor.
Whether he misunderstood didn’t matter.
What mattered was that the Young Master misunderstood!
What mattered was that the now-blind Young Madam was locked in the confinement room!
Basil ran upstairs, urgently knocking several times, but there was no response from the room. Without considering propriety, he barged into the Young Master’s room.
Godfery Shaw sat in shadows, making it hard for anyone to discern his emotions.
One of his hands was cuffed to the sofa, and he looked up eyeing the intruder with narrowed eyes, tightening the handcuff with a gaze filled with vicious malice.
Clearly in an uncontrolled state.
Facing such a Young Master, Basil felt a little frightened, but he still disregarded everything and shouted, "Young Master, you have misunderstood the Young Madam."
