Ella was coiled on the living room couch with a history-turned-comic book in her hand.

"French revolution?" Ella marvelled at the creativity for the umpteenth time.

When had reading History been this interesting for her? Ella reminded herself to flatter Adrian when he returned from work today.

"Miss Yu, everyone is curious after you posted the story yesterday," Rin scrolled through all the floating comments on Ella’s story.

"Hmm? Really?" Ella grabbed her phone from the coffee table.

After posting a story yesterday, she had logged out of her account. So, she did not quite know how people reacted to her post.

"But Miss Yu, why did you put a video of you doing skincare?" Rin was a bit bewildered at that.

Since Ella had not posted anything after the successful launch of ’Elle’, Rin had expected her to come back with a blast.

But she returned, posted a basic video in very normal clothes while doing her skincare, hence confusing Rin.

Ever since Rin started following Ella’s social media account, she had been quite engrossed in the constant teas spilling everywhere, reading comments, watching catfights, and even joining some to defend Ella.

And although the reactions were not as straightforward, they still caught Ella’s interest.

Ella, who had not realized when she had slumped on the couch while scrolling, sat up and turned to Kade, "Oh, hi! What are you doing here?"

Kade’s lips twitched violently, "In less than a week, we have our exams and you seem quite relaxed about it."

Ella blinked, "I have been studying well..."

"What about me? If I don’t do well, I am never getting my cards back? My money, my life...!" Suddenly, Kade’s eyes lit up.

He ran to sit beside Ella and looked around.

Rin blinked.

"Go go go..." Kade shooed the girl away.

Once the servants were dismissed, Kade turned to Ella, "I know you must have some tricks up your sleeves to ace the exams again. Why don’t you share some with me?"

Ella gasped, "Are you calling me a cheater?"

Kade frowned, "Ella, between us, there is no need to put up any pretense. Just tell me honestly."

"Call me sister-in-law."

"Eh, stop dreaming!"

Ella’s eyes watered, "Baby, he is not acknowledging my efforts by calling me a cheater. And he is not even acknowledging our precious relationship!"

Kade stiffened when he noticed the girl who was looking over his shoulder.

He slowly turned around, only to spot Adrian and Ronan stepping inside the mansion, followed by Ji Yan.

Ronan made a peace sign with his fingers, Ji Yan smiled bitterly and Kade’s chest shook.

"B-B-Brother, I..."

Adrian glanced at Kade for a brief moment.

And Kade’s throat choked. For some reason, he felt like his fate had been sealed.

"Top 10."

"What...?" Kade’s voice died in his throat.

"Make it to top 10," Adrian paused and then glanced at Ji Yan from above his shoulder, "Block his cards till then."

Ella skipped over to Adrian and hugged him, the big fat teardrops still sparkling in her eyes, "Baby, I knew you wouldn’t let me suffer any injustice."

Kade finally recovered his senses and turned to her, "You... You... White lotus...!"

Ronan and Ji Yan closed their eyes for a moment, knowing what was about to come.

Sure enough, Ella smiled bitterly as she looked up at Adrian, "Baby... Am I a person of dubious morals? I..."

Adrian tilted his head down, leaned forward and kissed her forehead, "No. You are the best."

"B-brother, before you said that it is fine if I make it to Top—"

"Doesn’t matter," Adrian cut him off, "It’s Top 10 now."

Kade’s body wavered like a withered flower.

"Baby..." Ella opened her mouth again.

Kade froze, his eyes screaming in desperation.

Then out of nowhere, Ella simply slumped her head against Adrian’s chest, "I am tired already."

Kade let out a sigh of relief. At least, she did not pick on me again.

"Studied a lot?" Adrian stroked the girl’s head.

Ella pouted again, "No, I was missing you too much. It’s very exhausting."

Adrian’s eyes darkened. In the next moment, he picked the girl up in a princess carry, "Is it?"

Ella’s eyes widened.

The look in Adrian’s eyes told her that she had gone a bit too far in messing around with him.

"_" The duo scattered another bout of dogfood and left the place, not caring about the situation of the single dogs behind them.

Kade limped to Ronan’s side, "What brings you here today?"
