Chapter 334 -334-Filth of God
CHAPTER 334: CHAPTER334-FILTH OF GOD
The truth was that even among the Angels of Gold and Silver themselves, many had no knowledge of what their kin had sacrificed. Few realized that a vast number of their brethren had given up their lives to carry and contain the Filth of God.
Those who had perished were not ordinary angels. Each of them was a mighty warrior, their strength well beyond the reach of mortals. Every single one of them had been at least Level 400, an echelon of power so immense that even the greatest Awakeners could hardly fathom it. Yet they had been consumed, used as vessels for this dark substance, their lives extinguished without a trace.
Through the piercing clarity of his Eye of Insight, Daniel could see what the Filth of God truly was. It was not some random pollutant, nor an outside corruption. No—it was, in essence, an impurity that originated from Aurelia, the Goddess of Gold and Silver herself.
Of course, to call it "impurity" was only a matter of perspective. To Aurelia, it was nothing more than the inevitable byproduct of her divine essence. But to anyone else, the Filth of God was something unspeakably dangerous.
Its true origin was even more unnerving. The substance had not come from the Myriad Races Continent or even from the familiar dimensions Daniel had explored. Instead, it originated from the Inner World—a hidden reality beyond ordinary comprehension. It was said that in that shadowed realm, the Goddess Aurelia herself had created gods. And from that act of creation, these fragments of filth had seeped into existence.
Yet beyond that, Daniel’s knowledge was thin. Even with the Eye of Insight, he found no further details. It was as though the very existence of the Inner World lay beyond the scope of the Eye, outside its ability to analyze or define. The power that veiled it was not one he could penetrate.
Still, scraps of information did reach him. Among them, one particular entry stood out:
[Filth of God will cause irreversible corruption. Even existences on the level of gods cannot escape its influence.]
That alone was enough to fill Daniel with unease. If something existed that could pollute even gods, then its danger was beyond comprehension. He could feel it in his bones—the arrival of the Filth of God on the Myriad Races Continent would be nothing less than catastrophic. In fact, he suspected it might be even worse than Aurelia herself descending.
There was no way he could afford to leave such a threat unchecked.
After a brief silence of contemplation, Daniel reached into his personal storage and withdrew a Plane Core. Then, following the path he had rehearsed countless times across cycles of repetition, he summoned Milla.
"Milla," he said when she appeared, "can you deal with this for me?"
Milla stepped into the Divine Realm and materialized at the coordinates Daniel had designated, right outside the ominous portal. Her eyes fell on the swirling gateway, and her face tightened in shock.
"I never would have imagined... Aurelia would choose to handle the Filth of God like this," she said softly. "And the sheer volume... it’s enormous!"
For a moment she stood stunned. Then her expression hardened, turning grave. She raised layer upon layer of defenses over her body, weaving more than a hundred protective barriers until her form shone with the light of overlapping shields. Only then did she nod firmly.
"Don’t worry. Leave this matter to me. I will find a way to deal with it."
Daniel gave a small nod in return and handed her the Plane Core.
The instant she accepted it, however, her eyes flickered with something strange. Why had Daniel already prepared the core in advance, as though he had known she would need it, when she had not yet spoken a word of request?
Of course, she did not know the truth—that everything Daniel was doing now was the culmination of endless trials, the optimized path discovered after countless repetitions. Every choice, every gesture, had been tested and proven.
Time slipped by unnoticed. By 6:30 a.m., Alice’s inheritance had already been proceeding smoothly, aided by the help she had received. And only a few minutes later, Milla completed her work, containing and resolving the matter of the Filth of God.
But she did not rest once the task was done. Instead, she opened a portal and stepped onto the surface of the Storm Sea, arriving at a place Daniel had specified beforehand. There, at last, she saw the towering figure of Kogmaw.
Now bound by the contract with Daniel, Kogmaw had sworn loyalty. For the next ten years, he would serve Daniel without question, carrying out his commands with faithfulness.
Seeing him in person, Milla’s mouth twitched faintly. Of course she recognized him. Kogmaw’s reputation was immense. Among all the devotees of the gods, he was one of the most formidable. In terms of pure attribute values alone, Kogmaw was unmatched, standing firmly at the very top.
That Milla knew of him was not surprising. What surprised her was that Daniel had actually managed to find him, when Kogmaw had disappeared for so long that many believed him gone forever. Not only had Daniel located him, but he had somehow persuaded him to join his side, to bend his knee willingly.
She found it hard to imagine how Daniel had managed such a feat. It was almost unbelievable.
The truth, of course, was that Daniel’s methods were far more daring and ingenious than she realized.
Kogmaw himself seemed comfortable with her presence. He even revealed to her the nature of his cooperation with Daniel. It was then that Milla learned the truth—that he had been hiding in the Chaotic Hills all this time.
"So Lord Daniel found you in the Chaotic Hills?" she thought in amazement.
But then a contradiction struck her. That didn’t make sense. At this point in time, Daniel should only have been able to reach as far as the Desert of Time. Why had he turned in the opposite direction, toward the Chaotic Hills? The two places were utterly different paths.
None of it added up. The more she pondered, the less she could make sense of him.
Daniel had become an enigma she could no longer see through.
As Milla and Kogmaw reunited, dawn finally began to break across the horizon. There were only five minutes left until seven o’clock.
And then, at last, Daniel himself appeared outside the Primordial Plane.
Milla turned her head, her voice calm but meaningful. "It seems you’re ready now."
Far away, Charlotte was still in the ruins, immersed in the trial of inheriting the Summoning God Position. Unlike Alice, she had no one to guide her, no one to help her shoulder the burden. She was forced to endure every ordeal herself, step by step. Naturally, this meant her process was far longer and more arduous.
Meanwhile, Alice, who had successfully advanced to the rank of Demigod, brought Daniel a host of new abilities:
[Stellar Command]Effect: You may briefly control the laws of the stars and summon them to fight at your side.
[Stellar Binding]Effect: You may reinforce the rules that govern the stars, ensuring that any stellar entity that defies order is subjected to harsher punishment.
[Stellar Might]Effect: You may borrow the strength of the stars themselves to increase your own attributes.
These abilities shone before Daniel’s eyes, their potential evident.
Within the Divine Realm, Kogmaw stepped in and frowned. "This is the territory of the Angels of Gold and Silver. Are you working together with Aurelia?"
Through his psychic senses, Daniel caught the truth: Kogmaw harbored deep dislike, even hostility, toward the Angels of Gold and Silver.
Before Daniel could answer, Milla spoke with a faint smile. "Kogmaw, my old friend—you seem to have misunderstood. The Divine Realm now belongs to us. Those loathsome Angels of Gold and Silver? We’ve already exterminated them."
As she spoke, she turned her gaze back toward Daniel.
"Lord Daniel, what we’re waiting for now is the rise of the sun—Apollo. When it ascends, that will be the moment for us to step through the Miracle Gate."
And as her words fell, a new rift appeared in the heavens above, splitting space itself.
