CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: MY DATE WITH REINA(III)

The first thing I noticed when I woke wasn’t the sunlight, or even the fact that my body felt like I’d gone ten rounds in a war zone.

It was her.

My wonderful wonder

The 2nd wonder of my world.

And of cause....the one I just had sex with.

Reina.

She lay curled against me, her breath warm on my chest, her arm draped lazily across my stomach like she owned the space. Her hair was a wild mess, strands spilling over her face, but it only made her look more human, more beautiful in a way no makeup or clinic polish could capture.

And I really meant it, no makeup or polish could ever match up to her beauty, she was perfect.....divine.... amazing, she was just, so, so, perfect!

Just Last night, she had been fire and desperation, clawing, gasping, clinging as if I was the only anchor left in her huge world. Now, in the quiet morning glow, she looked breakable. Soft.

Not that I didn’t like the soft type, she was just so....softt

The kind of woman who had spent too many nights alone convincing herself she didn’t need anyone.

Someone similar to Rika!

Way too similar.

The System stirred in my head, voice softer than usual, almost awed.

System (dreamy):"Aww, would you look at that? You absolutely wrecked her, and now she’s glowing like the sunrise itself. Emotional Sync check, sugar... watch out for them milfs"

[Emotional Sync with Reina: 44% → 55%]

Even if the increase was just by 10%(Ten percentage), it wasn’t bad

Not bad at all.

I shifted slightly, careful not to wake her. But before I could even slip out of bed, her fingers tightened around my wrist.

Oh, May The Good Lord Help me!

Her lips barely moved as she mumbled, "Hey...Don’t....Don’t go yet."

Her voice had that edge, the crack of vulnerability people usually keep hidden.

Something similar to That of Rika, I still kept wondering why I kept thinking of her

I smiled, brushing my hand through her tangled hair. "Hey, Reina-Sensei! Trust me, I’m not going anywhere."

Her breathing steadied, but she didn’t let go. And truth be told, I didn’t want her to. I was just.... enjoying it.

It was a Morning Like No Other.

For a long stretch, the only sounds were the faint hum of cicadas outside and the soft rhythm of her breaths. My body ached pleasantly from the night before, but my own mind was sharper than ever.

She needed this. Needed someone not just to fuck her, but to stay with her. To comfort her, to be with her.

Eventually, though, her stomach betrayed her.

A loud growl broke the silence.

Her eyes fluttered open, instantly widening. A flush of red climbed up her neck. "Don’t you dare laugh."

Sorry but, Too late. A chuckle slipped past my lips.

"Looks like someone’s hungry," I teased, running a thumb over her cheek.

She pouted, actually pouted, before burying her face in my chest. "Shut up."

I grinned, sliding out of bed. "Stay here, Kay?. I’ll make breakfast."

That got her attention. She peeked up through her hair. "You? You... can cook?"

I shot her a smirk. "Better than that hospital cafeteria slop."

She groaned. "That’s not saying much."

"Then, Reina ma’am! You’re in for a surprise."

It was simply Domestic Chaos, Reina ended up wrapped in one of my shirts, well, it was technically hers from yesterday, but now it was drowning from her frame, falling off one shoulder in the kind of way that made concentrating in the kitchen borderline impossible.

She sat on the couch, legs tucked under her, watching me with a bemused smile as I cracked eggs and threw butter in the pan.

Then that mother fucking System piped up again.

System (sing-song):"Well, well, well!!!! look at you. Big scary soldier turned domestic daddy, cooking while wifey stares at you like you’re the main dish. Careful, keep this up and she’ll be naming your kids before dessert. And I know that’s what you already want."

I ignored it. Mostly. Not everything, but most of it!

From the corner of my eye I saw her , Reina tilted her head. "Hey! You look... different."

"Different how?" I asked, flipping an omelet with more flair than necessary. Almost like j was planning on burning it.

She narrowed her eyes. "Less... sixteen year old delinquent. More... something else."

"Something good?"

Her lips curved. "Something dangerous."

I carried the plates over, setting them down in front of her. "That’s not an answer."

She took a bite, chewed slowly, then smirked. "Both."

I sat across from her, trying not to grin like an idiot when she hummed in appreciation. Watching Reina in my shirt, eating my food, hair messy from a night I gave her, that was a sight I didn’t know I needed.

The Quiet Between Us

We didn’t talk about last night. We didn’t need to. Even if we wanted to

But there was a weight to her gaze, a question lingering she wasn’t ready to voice. I could feel it in the way she lingered on me, in the way her hand brushed mine when she reached for her glass of water.

And honestly? I didn’t push.

Not yet.

Instead, I let her lean on me when we cleaned up together, stealing small touches and playful banter. It wasn’t fireworks or explosive passion like the night before, it was quieter. Almost... normal.

And for Reina, normal was the one thing she hadn’t had in years.

Later, at School

Walking into class after all that felt unreal. Everyone else was talking about dumb rumors or scribbling homework, while I was sitting there replaying Reina’s soft moans in my head.

Of course, someone noticed.

Rika.

She always noticed.

The moment I walked in, her eyes flicked up. Just for a second. But it was enough. The faintest blush painted her cheeks before she forced herself to look back at the blackboard.

And when I smirked? She pressed her lips together like she was holding back words.

The System nearly squealed.

System (teasing):"Ohhh, teacher’s jealous! Look at her, pretending not to imagine you railing someone else. Poor thing’s probably dripping behind that tight skirt."

I had to cough to hide a laugh.

But I didn’t miss how her gaze lingered when she thought no one was watching.

Yeah. The tension was building.

After School

I stretched by the school gates, exhaustion catching up with me. My body was running on sex and caffeine, not much else.

That’s when my phone buzzed.

[New Quest Unlocked]

Quest: "Balancing Act"

Objective: Juggle growing bonds without losing trust.

Reward: Passive Skill – Silver Tongue (LVL 1): Boosts persuasion during emotional tension.

The text faded, but one line lingered:

System (serious, for once):"Two hearts are beating harder for you, sugar. Handle with care... or watch them shatter."

My jaw tightened.

This wasn’t just about sex anymore. This was the tightrope, one wrong step, and the whole thing could come crashing down.

I Walked her Home. Reina caught up with me outside the gates. Still in her nurse’s outfit, though her hair was tied back neatly again, professionalism switched on like last night hadn’t happened. But her eyes... those betrayed her.

"You walked past the infirmary without saying hi," she said casually, but her tone carried a hint of reproach.

"Didn’t want to get you in trouble," I said, hands in my pockets.

She pursed her lips. "...Appreciate it."

We walked side by side, silence heavy. Students milled around us, gossiping about weekend plans. To them, we were just a nurse and a student walking coincidentally in the same direction.

But under the surface, it was electric.

When we stopped at a crosswalk, I leaned close, just enough for only her to hear. "I can still feel your nails down my back."

Her breath hitched. For just a moment, the mask cracked—her cheeks flushed, her lips parted. Then the light turned green, and she strode forward quickly, pretending she hadn’t reacted.

But her ears betrayed her. Bright red.

The System whistled low.

System:"Ohhh, this game’s getting spicy. Careful, champ. You’re stacking dynamite here. One spark, and—boom."

It was finally evening And by the time I got home, the weight of it all settled in.

Reina wanted something more than just a night. Rika’s jealousy was bubbling, whether she admitted it or not. And the System... well, it was clear this "Balancing Act" wasn’t a suggestion.

I flopped onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.

The old me, the soldier me would’ve laughed at this.

War!

Guns!

Survival?

Easy.

This? Navigating women’s hearts while pretending to be a high schooler? That was the real battlefield.

But deep down, I knew one thing.

I wasn’t backing down.

Because for the first time since I woke in this new body, I felt alive.

And I’d be damned if I let it slip through my fingers.
