Chapter 42 -: 42, Conflict
CHAPTER 42: CHAPTER: 42, CONFLICT
Linjos was confused. Did this old apprentice of his come all the way here just introduce her newborn child? But even if yes, why would she be pursued by those people?
He kept his mind clear and asked, "Okay, first explain who those people were that followed you, and what would they need from this child?"
Sylvia looked at him in confusion and clarified quickly, "Master! They were the Forbidden sect. and as for why they were following me, just look carefully at the child!"
Linjos was quite taken aback to see her in such agitation, but he followed her words and carefully examined the child. After a second, realization dawned on him, and it terrified him.
He quickly grabbed Sylvia by her shoulders and said in a serious and almost menacing voice with a hint of fear, "H-How did you come to hold of this? Forget it, if the forbidden sect has truly resurfaced, then you need to leave right now!"
Sylvia nodded her head and said, "Yes, I know. That is why I need your help. Can you please send me somewhere far, far from here at least?"
Linjos thought for a second and quickly offered a suggestion, "We are currently at the border of Mother Nature and the Forge Empire. The only place that can be far enough is the Kaiser Empire, and I can barely send you to the border because of the restrictions. Would that be alright?"
Sylvia quickly nodded in agreement. Linjos quickly backed away to create some distance. He reached his hand into thin air, saying, "I don’t know how you found this child. But make sure to never let the Forbidden sect snatch it away, or it would cause catastrophe."
As he said that, a chaotic crack appeared in the air splitting the space around Linjos.
Sylvia looked at her master, "I know we haven’t met for a long time. Maybe, the next time I come here, we can have a true reunion."
Linjos quickly created a space orb around Sylvia and reassured her, ’Just go already. You need to be alive to meet me again. I will conceal the traces and it would take six months to reach the Kaiser Empire, so be careful. I’ll hold those people back."
Having said that, he pushed Sylvia into the space crack and soon the chaotic crack slowly repaired itself, turning just the way it was before.
"Stay safe..." Linjoss muttered under his breath.

Within the Darkness below, Puck was placing a strange monitor-like thing that looked pretty advanced for a fantasy world. Suddenly, the intercom lit up, showing a recent space disturbance. His face turned pale as he looked thoroughly but couldn’t find any trace of which two destinations the space disturbance connected.
He despaired and went to the vice-captain, "Sir! There has been a space disturbance recently with no trace left. Now we can only find out the location when the crack opens again at that destination, which could take months as the old coot wouldn’t send them somewhere close to us."
The vice-captain slapped his forehead muttering, "That damn Linjos. Anyway, keep an eye on it every second and inform me when you pinpoint the exact location. Captain has some important matters to attend to, so we’ll be staying here till then."
"Y-Yes Sir!"

Within the deep Darkness of the Forest, the Captain of the pursuers was in the middle of nowhere when she received the news. She had just killed two horrifying monsters of darkness and had blood all over her sword.
"Okay, do what you are doing right now, and inform me immediately when you locate her, over."
The link disconnected and her gaze went back to the place she had stayed all those years ago, "Hope you’re still there..." she said before disappearing into thin air.
Sylvia on the other hand, was going through the chaotic rift of the Void, tightly clutching the child in her chest.
Unbeknownst to her, the shimmering thin string of fate connected to her being turned slightly dense and clutched her more tightly than before, as this was the moment her fate altered a little.

A week later
In the Kaiser Imperial palace, many otherworlders had already gotten used to the discomfort from killing monsters in the dungeon. Now they were slowly increasing their strength through leveling up.
Kieran was lying on his bed, completely alone. Gura was still with the maids, learning the basic chores. Just within a week, his desire for Gura intensified tremendously. Now, every second not seeing her was painful like torture.
Then a knock was heard from the door. Lucian excitedly ran towards the door.
As soon as he opened the door, someone tightly wrapped their hands around him. He looked to find Gura hugging him, her cheeks were slightly red and a happy smile was on her lips.
Gura looked him in the eyes and asked coquettishly, "Did you miss me?"
Kieran smiled, "Yes, I did." He then closed the door and pointed towards the new extra bed that was delivered just a moment ago and added, "Also, your bed is here. Now you can be as comfortable as you want.
Gura looked at the bed like it had just insulted her entire bloodline, not a hint of the joy Kieran expected appeared on her face.
Kieran asked if something was wrong. But she didn’t answer and just stared at it, her heart filled with conflicting emotions. She looked at Kieran, having the biggest realization of her life.
"Master Kieran, these few days with you were something I cannot describe..." she began.
"What do you mean?" Kieran asked.
"I mean, every day I have been with you, every moment we spent together, every night we slept on the same bed, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, as if I was..."
"Boom!" a loud crash interrupted her words. Kieran quickly rushed outside to see what happened. As he reached the training grounds, the scene in front of him shocked him.
In the middle of the training ground, two figures were fighting each other with their skills and weapons. Kieran recognized them too well, they were Aldric and Caspian.
He was confused as to what they were fighting each other for...
