CHAPTER 63: CHAPTER: 63, CAPITAL ASTRA. AND THE BEING RETURNS?

At night

Inside the Imperial study, Emperor Ray and Saintess Lily sat opposite to each other. They both were discussing the recent event.

"Okay, since the matter is handled, I’ll take my leave. There’s still many matters I need to attend to." Saintess Lily said as she got up and began to leave.

"Lily. Do you really think expelling him was the better choice? I know you aren’t the type to wrongfully convict someone. But this is just an excuse, and you know it." Emperor Ray asked, adding a bit of condolence.

Saintess Lily paused for a second at the door before looking back and said in a clearly uncomfortable face,

"I know that, Father. But right now, the Blessed are the priority. You also saw their progress in just a little over half a month. And with these techniques, their growth rate would enhance further that no one ever thought to be possible. This step was necessary... for our future and for our peace."

After she finished, she didn’t wait and left directly. Walking through the Palace hallways, she was in a daze as her heart was filled with troubling and uncomfortable feelings.

Outside the palace, she rode a carriage to the Temple. After some time, she walked out of the carriage to find several Priests of War and some of her attendants were standing in front of the Temple entrance to welcome her.

She greeted them and asked about the recent matters. One of her attendants began as they walked towards the Temple.

"Saintess, The donations received from the various noble’s across our empire have successfully been distributed among the various orphanages, shelters and employment programs.

The directors of every facility are very grateful and wish to seek your attendance so you can bless the children and homeless peoples."

Saintess Lily nodded, "Okay, see when my schedules would be free and how long it would take to visit every one of them and make the plan. Next!"

The attendant nodded and quickly hurried over to work on his task. Then another started speaking

"Saintess, a large number of refugees from P.F Kingdom and M.N Empire have entered our Empire. But many of them are found to have cultivated Evil arts and are currently held captive in the Border Cities. What should we do? The numbers are large, and almost four thousand, we can’t take action without your permission."

Saintess Lily frowned, her brows knitted with annoyance as she ordered, "If the individuals are confirmed to be Evil Cultivators, kill them on the spot. Make sure they are truly Evil before taking any actions. You don’t want to be punished because of one innocent life."

The Priest left and another began.

"Saintess! It has been detected that the rate of Evil Cultivators and Demon worshippers have increased in Whiteburn city as of recently. The Marquis of Whiteburn and High Priest of that branch aren’t replying to the warning sent by the Temple. What should we do?"

Saintess Lily’s eyes narrowed further and she said, "Look when I’ll be free, if they aren’t replying then I’ll go there myself to resolve the issue."

At that moment, the first Attendant appeared and said urgently, "Saintess! We have deduced that you’ll be free from next week. The journey would take about 8-9 months and our last destination is Whiteburn city."

"Oh, then I guess everything is clear. Prepare for the journey next week and send more messages to the High Priest and Marquis and update me everytime. Dismiss!"

After saying that, Saintess Lily walked away inside the Temple heading towards her quarters. She entered her room and sat down to rest a little. She was about to change her attire when she heard the familiar grotesque voice saying,

"So, you fulfilled your part of the deal?"

Lily shivered a little and then said cautiously, "Yes, I did as you asked me to do. So our deal is complete, right?"

The Voice paused for a second before confirming her words, "You’re right. And my work here is also finished, farewell."

"..."

"How rude! Can’t you just say goodbye?" The voice exclaimed, but this time, the voice was clear, sounding like that of a young man. Her heart raced a little, her eyes showing disbelief before she said instinctively, "Goodbye..."

"Good! Bye bye~~" the voice said and then turned silent. Lily waited for about half an hour before finally sighing with relief.

A long distance away, a young man with medium length black hair that reflected the moonlight, wearing a tight suit that made him look like a young CEO and blue colored Hexagonal glasses that hid his light blue eyes. His face was poised and shaped like carved out of stone with smooth skin. He looked like a Chinese young man that could rival every Chinese supermodel.

He looked at the bustling city below as he was standing on top of the National Flag placed right at the top of the Imperial Palace. His hair fluttered with the wind as he looked in one particular direction and said with a chuckle, "Your journey has just begun, bitch..."

In a bustling market of Capital Astra, Dainsleif sat on a nearby bench with a defeated look. He had looked at all the Inn’s he could find and all of them were fully booked. Now he had no other choice but to sleep on the streets that night.

"Maybe I should just use envisioning to get myself a house, how conve-" He was saying when suddenly he stopped.

With him the world around him also followed him. Every person, every falling leaf, every running animal and even the birds stopped in midair, as if the whole world was frozen in ice. The nearby grass and tree around Dainsleif began to glow among this frozen world.

Dainsleif looked up at something. The same rectangular portal that was the so-called fourth-wall was still there, watching his every move.

The being that is currently controlling Dainsleif ignored the fourth-wall, sighed and muttered, "Naïve fool! If only you weren’t my last option, Sigh~~. If only I could Kill the Author... Okay don’t get angry man, I’ll leave!"

The being again looked away from the wall and added, "This is the last Time.... Don’t wait for the next time... Too much info for this Chapter, now end this!"
