Andrea''s eyes were red with hatred. Her fingernails tightly wed at the ground, but they broke, leaving a trail of blood on the floor.

If she survived this, she would never forgive Grace.

Grace drove back to Liam''s vi and asked all the maids whether or not Liam had returned. He hadn''t.

Now, she was starting to worry. Just as she was about to call the police, she saw Liam walk through the door as if nothing had happened.

Taking a deep breath, she asked him, "Where have you been? Do you know Andrea''s been looking for you everywhere? And what did you mean by that message you sent me?"

As Liam had not expected Grace to be home, both surprise and confusion shed through his eyes. "What message?"

Grace had just taken a guess before, but perhaps it indeed was Andrea who sent the message.

"Never mind. Where have you been? Why didn''t you take your phone?"

Liam was changing his shoes in the entryway, and he replied in an indifferent tone, "I went to look for Mom. I didn''t want to upset you, so I didn''t bring my phone. I didn''t tell anyone else either."

It wasmon knowledge that Carmen and Grace didn''t have a good rtionship, and Liam didn''t want Grace to worry.

"You should''ve at least told Andrea. She''s pregnant. She''s also looking for you."

Liam frowned. He had just been gone for a few hours. Was it such a big deal? "Grace, stay for dinner tonight."

But Grace had already stood up. She didn''t want to intrude on their personal space. Also, Andrea was not fond of her. "It''s fine. I''m spending Christmas with my boyfriend."

"Ask him to join us. Let me see the kind of man he is."

"He''s busy."

Liam scoffed, his voice full of mockery. "Is he really that busy? Or are you so insignificant to him that he doesn''t see a need to spend the time with you?"

He had always had a hostile attitude toward her mysterious boyfriend.

But he understood now. The other day when Grace was taken away by her boyfriend, Liam had urged her to break up with him. Then, he received a strange message, luring him to look into Grace''s boyfriend. As result, he unintentionally learned

another secret when he went to see the doctor.  s

He suspected that all this had been deliberately orchestrated by Grace''s boyfriend, Ed knew Liam was snooping on him, so he simply threw him a bigger Bait to distract him so that he wouldn''t have the energy to focus on Grace.  s

That man wanted Grace all to himself. Not even her own brother could take up her time.

After enduring so much, Liam could see things clearly. He just couldn''t be bothered to talk to Grace about it.

Now that Grace was so in love with this boyfriend of hers, Liam couldn''t talk badly about him as it might provoke her.

Liam lowered his gaze, his heart

aching. In fact, he wasn''t sure if Grace''s goal was really the Lambert family''s assets, but having lived together for so many years, he

couldn''t find it in himself to be so heartless. So, he opened his mouth and went upstairs in a huff. "Fine."  s

"Andrea might be looking for you. Aren''t you supposed to have dinner with her? Remember to give her a call."

"Okay."

Seeing him go, Grace sighed.

She wasn''t overthinking it; there really was a distance between her and Liam, and

she had no idea how and when it happened.

After entering his room, Liam just stood by the window and stared into the

evening. The reason he had gone to see Carmen was to ask about Grace.

But Carmen didn''t know either and even pressed him, "Liam, what do you know? Don''t hide it from me."

If Quentin was the only one in the family who knew, did Grace know as well? What was Quentin''s reason?

Everything was so messy.

He stood in a daze for several hours until the maid downstairs came to knock on

the door. "Mr. Lambert, where has Ms. Sullivan gone? We gave her a call, but she didn''t pick up."

He felt slightly annoyed and picked up his phone to call Andrea, but there was no

answer.

He didn''t have much affection for Andrea, but for the sake of the child in her belly, he decided to wait a little longer.
