CHAPTER 335: CHAPTER 335: USELESS!

"We’re here, Your Majesty," Sofia said.

Kael was pulled out of his train of thought. He stopped walking to see that Sofia had swiftly turned around to address him, only for his serious gaze to shift from her private region to her face.

Kael had been looking at Sofia’s butt cheeks while he was in deep thought. He had long stopped admiring them but his gaze still rested on the two bubbly mounds of flesh.

Sofia, as sensitive as she was, could feel Kael’s gaze on her. At Kael’s level, staring intensely at any creature can alert them due to the energy that might be released without his knowledge.

His gaze was piercing, not just metaphorically, there was some truth in it. Sofia really felt Kael’s unhidden gaze on her body.

Knowing that Kael was looking at her butt, she turned around just in time to see the king shift his eyes from her private area to stare directly into her eyes.

To her, it felt like time had slowed down. She was actually staring into the king’s eyes, something others barely did.

Almost instantly, she began to feel a stinging pain in her eyes, causing her to blink repeatedly. Her heart was also overcome by a feeling of fear and oppression, the desire to kneel down to Kael began to grow again.

Kael was seemingly unaware of what he was subconsciously doing. He didn’t even acknowledge the awkward situation that he had put Sofia in.

His eyes went up and his head arched to see a massive machine floating above the pink blossom trees.

Almost a kilometer long and more than four hundred meters wide, it was the second magic shuttle of the Iron Blood Pyramid. A nameless vessel that was being used by Chloe as a mobile base.

The silver hull glinted with fierce light, reflecting the sunlight from the side. Under the massive vessel, magic marking and hover runes glowed with the power of magic, keeping the vessel afloat.

The area wasn’t that empty, multiple peach trees were positioned all over the place, making it unnecessarily troublesome for the magic shuttle to land

Some birds were flying above, watching them. Kael’s ears, nose, and spirit sense had already picked up on the presence of multiple land-based creatures in the surrounding area.

They were at locations that ensured they would be able to escape to the safety of the magic shuttle in time.

Kael and Katari walked ahead, coming under the overreaching shadow that was cast by the floating magic shuttle.

They didn’t need Sofia’s guidance anymore.

Kael stared at the shuttle above him with wonder. As big as this magic shuttle was, he had not been able to detect it. It was like it was invisible to his senses. It was only now that he stood under the machine that he could hear the hums and feel the faint magical pressure acting against the ground.

Hr and Katari walked until they stood under one of the open hatches that was wide enough to fit an average-sized tree through it.

A soft blue beam of light descended almost immediately after they stopped walking. The blue beam of light was cast down from the entrance of the hatch and covered the duo.

Katari squinted her eyes as she felt the blue beam trying to interfere with her established spatial field, but it couldn’t. Her powers stood strong.

A force acted in their bodies through the blue beam as a medium, pulling them upward until they passed through the entrance of the hatch.

Katari and Kael landed on the edges of the hatch just as the pale blue beam of light faded away. At the same time, the hatch shut close as they floated into the wide room.

Kael and Katari now stood in a dispatch room designed to house creatures just before they jumped out of the hatch.

Ignoring all the designs and functional decorations, Kael and Katari focused their attention on the humanoid standing in front of them.

Chloe stood before them, wearing her usual grey shirt and black leggings. Her black braided hair flowed to the center of her back and some locks fell over her shoulder.

Her hazel eyes, striking and fierce as ever, gazed at the tall humanoid lady and the extra-tall Kael beside her.

"Welcome Your Majesty," Chloe greeted but her eyes remained focused on Katari.

Katari met her gaze with a calm, nonchalant attitude. Her feelings, if there were any, were mixed.

She had really wanted to kill Chloe as soon as possible, but Kael didn’t let her. Kael liked this lioness, so she had to restrain herself.

In her eyes, Chloe was a potential threat and threats had to be treated like threats, by elimination.

It would take some convincing on Chloe’s part for Katari to let go of her desire to kill her.

"Hello Chloe," Kael said, then walked past her as if he were very familiar with the inner space of the magic shuttle.

Chloe was quick on her feet, not wanting to be left alone with Katari. She quickly rushed to Kael’s front to guide him.

"Kael, you are looking...stronger," Chloe said so as to not walk in awkward silence. Kael was indeed looking stronger as the depths and width of his Conquering Essence pool had increased which reflected in his aura.

"You too," Kael said. Chloe had also gotten a bit stronger, or should he say closer? She was just one more step away from the tier 4 stage. It seemed this Origin Essence-filled environment was doing wonders.

"Thanks, it’s all thanks to this place. Besides, I was due for evolution by this time. It’ll be my first," Chloe said with a nervous yet excited smile on her face.

Kael nodded his head, reminding himself that Chloe was from heaven and she had been born at the tier 3 level. So technically, she advancing to tier 4 would be her first evolution.

If Kael knew it was going to be like this, he would have just brought more of his consorts here. But he was reluctant to go back to that Bloody Field again.

Besides, the feast that was happening there should be enough to propel them to the next stage as well as the many other creatures that were participating.

Kael had specifically invited as many lions to the feast because he knew that soon, that place would be crowded with an unreasonable amount of feisty and ferocious predators.

Even if N’bayé joined them, his consorts there would have trouble establishing order and recruiting all of them, either with force or words.

The lions there would be present to help them.

Kael’s thoughts had wandered again so he brought them back to reality.

"Where is the tiger you said you captured?" Kael asked.

"I’ll take you to him," Chloe said and led the way.

They walked to the holding area of the magic shuttle used for keeping captives. There was a row of cells on both sides of this area.

It was just like the same holding area that Xu Ying and the others used to keep Isaiah in captivity on their own magic shuttle.

On the first cell right after the entrance, on their left, this was the cell that had a tiger in it.

Kael, Chloe, and Katari all stood before the red barrier that separated the cell from the outside world. The barrier glowed faintly, brimming with untapped restrictive powers.

The inside of the cell was dirty, having feces in one corner and urine in another.

These cells were supposed to come with a self-cleaning system but from the look of this waste, they were dropped today. It was still too early for the auto-cleaning system to activate.

Inside this cell, resting on the ground amidst all the filth was a grey tiger. From the fluctuations around him, Kael knew that this was a Spirit Tiger.

Unfortunately, this was a tier 2 tiger, the worst level possible. Kael even wondered how such a weak tiger could exist here in the peach valley when there was so much.

No wonder Oliver had no sympathy for the tiger when he spoke of him, he was so weak, even by the tiger’s standards.

After speaking to Chloe, Kael finally understood the matter. This tiger was an outcast.

Unlike Darius who was strong and left on his own, this tiger was sent away by his mother before he could even mature into a full adult.

His inherent weakness in combat as a spirit tiger was very telling as he was never able to secure his own territory in the peace valley.

From Kael’s estimate, with this kind of Origin Essence in the atmosphere, it was okay for a tiger cub to be born as tier 2 and even grow up as tier 2.

But by the time they were adults, they should already be tier 3. Tier 3 should be the average and the standard for a tiger living in this area.

This Spirit Tiger was just a weakling compared to others. It was no wonder Chloe was able to capture him and had not yet received retaliation from the Tigers.

He was useless to both sides.

Kael rubbed the bridge of his nose with his fingers and closed his eyes. He sighed, clearly not in a good mood anymore.

Things might not go as planned.
