CHAPTER 349: CHAPTER 349: RAW POWER

"Agatha, finish with them and come help us handle Kael," Belgrod’s telepathic voice echoed into Agatha’s mind, snapping her out of her furious state of mind.

Agatha growled, shifting her head to face Kael’s distant form. Her icy blue eyes narrowed as she saw Kael hovering with colossal wings above a crater.

The golden lion’s mouth was opened and he had a combination of different powers brewing at the edge of his throat.

Fire mixed with lightning, space intertwined with the wind.

Constantyne’s rising aura could also be felt from the bottom of the crater, but it was unknown if he would be able to dodge or take this attack unscathed.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Belgrod zoomed over, transforming into his humanoid form for some reason.

The reason was made clear very quickly.

He was like a streak of rainbow light, one second he was at the entrance to the arkship, the next instant he was already upon Kael.

Kael’s eyes shifted as he was about to react to the sudden attack but Belgrod was faster.

He evaded one of the swinging tails, moving underneath Kael’s hovering form.

Belgrod pulled his right arm back as though he was getting ready to release an arrow from a bow. His muscles tightened and the glowing stripes on his body burned with incredible power.

His right arm turned into an instrument of destruction, the stripes on it glowing brighter and brighter.

And then, Belgrod released his punch.

Space seemed to scream in protest as it was almost compressed to a point.

The fist landed and there was a loud gong sound, the sound of ringing metal. Kael was struck square on the left side of his furry face.

The air was instantly blasted away and a vacuum was created.

Like a golden meteor, Kael was blasted away.

The power he had been brewing within his mouth was unwillingly released. A golden beam of pure destructive might shot out of his mouth as he shot away.

The beam tore through the land, sky, the trees, and anywhere his head faced.

Even as he was sent flying tens of kilometers, Kael did not lose his sense of self nor did he give in to the pain he felt.

The halo of fortune was activated.

Against all possibilities, Kael’s beam attack should not have touched anyone as Belgrod had punched his head away to prevent this.

Yet, by some bad luck or good luck, depending on who it was, Kael faced Belgrod as he spun through the air.

Belgrod’s eyes widened as he instinctively created a magic barrier around him.

The golden beam hit him as if Kael had specifically targeted him, blasting him back until he slammed into the side of the metal structure.

Multiple magic barriers were created and destroyed in a short amount of time before it eventually died down.

Belgrod brought his hands down from his face, and he breathed heavily. That was dangerous, very dangerous.

This Kael was not to be taken lightly.

Agatha watched this from a distance atop the magic shuttle.

The hover runes around the magic shuttle had already faded to oblivion, causing the whole shuttle to begin to fall.

Agatha did not wait for the magic shuttle to crash.

She was at the center of the shuttle’s top, spreading her frost all around the crashing vessel.

With no point in continuing her attack, she turned away and ran.

Using the magic shuttle as a runway, she sped over to the edge and leaped.

The force of her jump caused the whole magic shuttle to tilt forward, accelerating its descent.

Agatha streaked through the sky, curving her way to Constantyne to help out.

However, a golden streak of light suddenly sped over from kilometers away. Space was compressed to a disgusting level to the point where Kael practically arrived in front of Agatha within a second.

Agatha was surprised, an ice platform appeared underneath her, and she tried to use it to jump away but Kael was ruthless.

He compressed space one last time and transformed into his humanoid form mid-flight.

His body burned with pain as this humanoid form wasn’t meant for the Conquering Mode. Barely a millisecond had passed but his skin had already begun to peel and his mind began to fracture.

Not wasting time, he took advantage of his fingers and hands, grabbing Agatha’s tail and tugging hard.

Agatha yelped, feeling a burning sensation behind her.

Kael’s body was breaking down, destroying itself and everything he touched, including Agatha’s tail.

Constantyne came from below, still in his blazing tiger, and delivered a muscle-packed paw to Kael’s head.

Once again, Kael was struck away, flying for some kilometers before stopping.

He paused his unwilling flight in the air, resulting in a small shockwave.

His body quickly transformed back to his Lion form. Wings, antlers, two tails, a muscular body, the way it was supposed to be.

He just hovered there, his glowing eyes revealing a dangerous level of intelligence. Agatha’s addition meant that things would be much harder.

Winning was out of the question, surviving was questionable. Escaping was certain but Belgrod had done something...

Kael could feel the etching of a complex rune on his back, a tracking rune.

Belgrod had placed it when he struck him, effectively telling Kael that there was absolutely nowhere to run.

Even if it’s for Kael’s sake, the tigers who were solo hunters would be willing to work in groups.

His wings flapped with strength, beating the air and causing a turbulent golden-hued mini hurricane.

Far away, Constantyne, Agatha, and Belgrod landed on the ground in their tiger forms and faced the distant golden lion.

"The arkship closed shut?" Agatha asked with an icy expression. Her tail still hurt badly and it even felt like it was going to fall off. It was no longer white with black stripes, just black fragmented flesh.

"I really want to kill this guy," Constantyne said through gritted teeth as his body began to swell. His two fangs elongated, coming down from his lower jaw, and his claws grew longer.

"No, we need him alive," Belgrod said as he stepped forward.

"For what? It’ll be easier to just kill this pussy!" Constantyne was annoyed.

"If you haven’t noticed, the entrance has been shut from the inside. It’s safe to say that something is happening within the arkship.

We have ten tigers inside, chasing after that lioness, but it’s not certain that they will succeed.

Just in case, we need to put him down and keep him alive as insurance," Belgrod reasoned with both of them.

There was a loud booming sound which was a result of the magic shuttle crashing into the ground and stirring up a dust storm.

"However, if it comes down to it, don’t hesitate to dish a killing blow," Belgrod added with rising killing intent.

To this, Constantyne and Agatha smiled devilishly.

"Constantyne, you’ll focus on him with your full force. You’ll be the one to receive him head-on.

Agatha, while Constantyne is fighting him head-on, you’ll assist with wide or long-range attacks. Don’t get close to him at all, you don’t have the physical might to challenge him toe to toe.

I’ll support you guys with my magic whatever way I can. He can use space magic, I’ll try my best to create a space stabilizing rune formation...

No matter what, he must not escape,"

Belgrod spoke as if he were the leader. This irked Constantyne but now wasn’t the time to talk about it.

"What about that other lioness? She’s actually still alive," Agatha said, referring to Katari who was still holding on with whatever she had.

She was just trying to defend herself at this point. Even her teleportation wasn’t that effective as there was a Magus Tiger among them constantly locking the space with his magic.

"We’ll deal with that one later," Belgrod said.

Ahead of them, Kael took a deep breath, then exhaled. Hot air gushed out of his lungs, burning the air in front of his head.

Every flap of his wings caused mini cyclones.

Kael wasn’t just sitting still, waiting for them to come at him. He was fighting, not just them, but himself.

His brief moment of transformation had exposed his mind to something that was almost driving him mad.

There was a good reason why his humanoid body was not meant for the Conquering Mode.

Kael’s body had been so infused with the raw powers of the Law of Conquering that his mind was struggling to handle it.

His body had healed, but his mind was almost traumatized.

The halo of fortune flashed around him repeatedly, seeking to turn this event into good fortune.

And then, a vertical slit was formed on the center of Kael’s head in between his eyes.

Blood flowed out of this closed vertical slit, dying his golden fur and mane with a bit of red.

It was also at this very moment that the curved metal structure shook.

The ground quaked, and the whole peach valley trembled.

The Arkship was rising.
