Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 376: Internet?
CHAPTER 376: CHAPTER 376: INTERNET?
Kael exited Alora’s chat and went to Priya’s chat.
It turned out that she was just asking about him. She also mentioned that the children wanted to see him.
Realizing that he would probably be here a little bit longer, Kael started to entertain the thought of what Ruda was proposing.
Besides, he needed something to distance himself from all the pressure he was feeling, even if it’s only for the moment.
The page of the golden screen shifted and changed to Exalon’s chat.
...
Exalon: Hope you’re ready kid. I thought they would wait until you showed up but it seems like they can’t wait any longer.
The civil war has officially started.
...
Although Kael and Exalon had become somewhat closer, Kael never told Exalon the reason why he did not show up or why no one could locate him.
Without this information, Exalon had simply been assuming that Kael was just hiding and worried about his personal survival.
However, how long could this last?
Kael couldn’t keep on hiding forever.
....
Kael: What happened?
...
...
Exalon: Oh, you’re there, thank heavens.
Ma’abu and his fellow Anti-Primordial Coalition members met Adolf’s father at a meeting for the Strings of Fate Coalition.
Everyone was simply discussing how unbalanced the scales of fate were for the whole civilization. Up till then, no one knew whether this imbalance was in their favor or not.
Perhaps, if we knew who was causing negative or positive effects, it would be easier to choose a side.
But it seemed like for this era, both sides contained equal parts of negative and positive effects.
So, the Anti-Primordial Coalition was there, trying to understand their stance and to see whether they could pull more Fortune Lion Kings to their side.
Ma’abu and Adolf’s father met, the fact that they were once fellow members of the Cross Claw Alliance didn’t elude us.
One thing led to another, their opposing ideologies on the matter of the Primordial Lion led to a heated argument.
Actually, it was going fine, and it would have ended as a simple argument. Even though Adolf’s father brought up the matter of Wadolius as a reason for Ma’abu’s actions, the latter didn’t overreact.
However, one of the lion kings realized that Adolf’s father was making some valid points and their side was losing the argument. More so, they were losing in front of numerous Lion Kings whom they wished to pull to their side.
So after some nudging from the others, Ma’abu and the other lions suddenly launched a surprise attack in the middle of the argument.
The battle was fierce, and it was also short. Before anyone could react, before I could step in, Adolf’s father was already ripped to shreds.
The Anti-Primordial Coalition lion kings left. We thought they had run away, but they didn’t.
They had actually gone to hunt down every last member of the clan Adolf’s father belonged to.
Within a day, the whole clan, all the princes, and most of the lion lords were exterminated.
Not even the cubs were left behind, they had ruthlessly eliminated their future problems from the root.
This bold move from them has caused some waves. Lions who had previously not taken the matter seriously were starting to pay more attention.
As you can see, more lion kings are joining, but the Anti-Primordial Coalition is also gaining new members.
I predict that a few more skirmishes will occur in the coming weeks or months. The worst is yet to come.
If you could show yourself and show that you are actually powerful, a lot more Lion Kings would flock to your side.
Valid reasons matter but lions respect strength more than anything.
Kael: I’m working on it, I’ll appear when the time is right.
Exalon: When will the time be right? If you’re worried about your safety, I can protect you until you become strong enough.
Kael: Lol.
Exalon: What?
Kael: Protect me?
Exalon: Yeah, I know that you might not be that strong yet and you should be terrified of what they would do if they catch you. But don’t forget you have me and other supporters who benefit from your lion system.
Kael: I know, how strong do you think I should be before coming out of hiding?
Exalon: Aren’t you already tier 4, right? That’s enough. Technically, you just need enough strength to survive an encounter with someone like me.
Kael: Aren’t you just tier 6?
Exalon: Just? JUST? What tier are you to think you can call tier 6 just?
Kael: What are the plans?
Exalon: Don’t change the subject.
Kael: My strength does not matter in the grand scheme of things. What’s the plan?
Exalon: There’s no plan for now.
Kael: Establish a group with as many Lion Kings as you can, make it a campaign of some sort if you want.
It’s better to stick together from the beginning. Let the neutrals see strength in our solidarity.
Exalon: Okay, but that’s already happening.
Kael: Any wild cards I should know about?
Exalon: Apart from the chimeras and some very powerful lions that are waking up one after the other, nothing much.
Kael: The dragons?
Exalon: They should already know what’s happening. Something tells me that Ibadon might have some strings being pulled.
He would want to get to you after all, killing you would just be the one key factor if he wants to eliminate the lion race.
Kael: I see, and the bees?
Exalon: They’re neutral for now. Although, we do want their honey. Bees are not the type of creatures lions are willing to take as vassals, like the dragons.
Kael: Okay then, Adolf’s father’s death is a loss that we must swallow for now. I’ll communicate through the public chat if the need arises.
....
Kael then checked the private messages he had received from the many Lion Kings that had his identity marks.
Most of them just wanted to inform Kael about what had happened and some just wanted to tell Kael something else.
Some genuinely wanted to talk and a few who hadn’t yet heard the news were busy pitching suggestions for new features to be added to the Lion system.
Kael had placed restrictions on those who could chat him up directly. Unless he wanted to talk, only some Lion Kings who were brought into the system by Exalon could chat him up.
Kael didn’t respond to any of them.
He navigated to the public chat forum. The public chat section had changed significantly.
Ever since Kael had realized the number of lions that would be added to his Lion System, he had guessed that problems might occur.
And indeed, problems did occur. In the past, it was hard for anyone to focus on one post as thousands of lions were trying to make a list at the same time.
Most posts were turned into old news the very instant they were posted. This was not a good thing at all.
So Kael spent over a month modifying it and making some changes.
Now, the public chat feature was divided into forums. There are a total of one hundred forums currently.
These public forums were meant for the same thing, public communication across all lions of the lion system.
Each forum had its own set of posts that didn’t interfere with the activities of the other forums. This way, lions were now able to make posts without worrying that their opinions would be flung away.
By dividing the public chat into one hundred forums, Kael had reduced a lot of the burden in that feature.
However, because of this, there were some issues related to the accuracy and authenticity of some news.
For example, if a lion made a post on Forum 50, those lions that are looking at the other forums won’t be able to see that post unless they navigate to Forum 50.
But that was for the best probably, besides, it didn’t really stop news from being spread. It just delayed it a bit.
Although the speed at which the posts moved was still fast, it wasn’t that fast. At least, there was a new feature that allowed the individual lion’s feed to remain the way it was.
If they wanted to see the latest posts of a particular forum, all they needed to do was press the Refresh button and all the latest posts would appear.
In a way, Kael was creating the internet, or perhaps, it could be something more.
The more of these minor features Kael added, the more many lions realized that they couldn’t imagine their life without the lion system.
Trading, communication, powers, missions, Lionhood Bar, and vassal management. The lion system was providing a lot for them.
It was no wonder that most of the lions who joined the Lion System in heaven just to check it out found themselves unable to go back to their old ways.
And to think the Anti-Primordial Coalition was trying to take these away from them just because of their ideologies?
War was definitely inevitable.
Thinking about how he was quietly working on making an entire civilization dependent on him, Kael smiled.
He shook his head and walked into the pyramid as the wooden slabs shifted away to reveal the hallway.
He took a sniff of the air, locking onto Ruda’s invigorating scent. A lecherous light flashed in his eyes.
