CHAPTER 380: CHAPTER 380: AFFILIATED LAWS

As Kael stepped out of the wooden pyramid, his senses were immediately drawn to Ozia who was the most energetic of those in front.

Kael narrowed his eyes. That face was strikingly similar to his with a few of N’bayé’s features to it. That terrifying level of intelligence, even though he looked playful and arrogant, it would be to his detriment if he ignored it.

Ozia looked at his father and their eyes jammed. Ozia immediately shifted his gaze, not daring to maintain eye contact with his father for too long.

That would be like a challenge. Ozia was not suicidal.

Kael also shifted his gaze to see the rest of the creatures that were present.

Sharks, bats, porcupines, buffalo, goats, zebras, falcons, eagles, all manner of birds, goats, wolves, foxes, bears, lizards, snakes, moles, spiders, and many more.

There were also rats, the caste with the highest population.

Most of these castes had been formed naturally after Kael spread his influence all over the planet.

With hundreds of his shuttles, manned by wolf and fox soldiers, they quickly traveled from one region to another, enabling the king’s ambition to grow even stronger.

Over time, Kael had learned about different unique traits that each creature possessed.

The bats for example were not like standard creatures who could awaken hearts that let them control fíre or water.

There were no fire bats, water bats, earth bats, and so on. But there were Darkness Bats, Sound Bats, Blood Bats, and Air Bats.

It was a pity that such powers were not available to the lionkins as Kael would have loved to meet a lioness with the power to make her his consort all so that he could gain those powers.

They were very useful, especially the Dark Bats.

Then there were the spiders who had been with Kael for a longer time. The fact that every spider here was a chimera was still something that Kael found hard to accept willingly.

Chimeras were creatures of certain races who possessed more than one power type belonging to their race.

The lions had chimeras but they were very rare and most chimeras had only two power types.

In the whole lion population on Eridoria, Ozia was the only chimera and he had three power-types instead of two which was even rarer.

For most races, chimeras were extremely rare. However, every single spider Kael knew was a chimera, possessing both a spirit power and any of the other various powers.

But, the siders didn’t seem exceedingly strong or have any high advantages despite their strength and numbers. Chloe had confirmed it, even a normal lion of a standard power level would be able to easily dispose of a spider that had the same power level.

They were no match for a genuine lion chimera.

In terms of individual strength or combat ability, they were still at a disadvantage against the lions.

Among the lions, being a chimera meant having double power, meaning that they were usually two times stronger than another lion of the same level.

The spiders didn’t seem to have that trait.

Kael guessed that it was probably related to their affiliated law. Although he found it unfair, he had accepted it. At least, the chances of a Spider Uprising were very minimal.

Each of these castes had its own affiliated laws that influenced how they behaved, looked, and the unique traits they possessed.

The owls, who were known for having an innate accent that gave an ancient feel, were affiliated with the Law of Reincarnation.

Eagles were affiliated with the law of Vision, Falcons were affiliated with the law of speed, and the vultures which were obvious by now were affiliated with the law of death.

The troublesome elephants that Kael was thinking of driving to extinction were affiliated with the law of Rules.

Rhinos were affiliated with the law of Gravity. Buffalos were affiliated with the law of Strength, and Bats were affiliated with the law of Night.

Zebras were affiliated with the law of Illusion, which was quite ironic as their first defeat was because of Kael’s illusions.

Some castes affiliated laws were more interesting to Kael after Chloe educated him about them.

For example, the wolf castes were affiliated with the Law of Hunting, which was actually close to his guess.

It made sense.

The bears, unlike what Kael had guessed, were not affiliated with the Law of Religion. Instead, they were affiliated with the law of Combat, just like the tigers.

The creatures that were affiliated with the law of religion were the Doves.

Kurse hasn’t really been himself since he found out.

Kael had no intention of hiding this information from the caste leaders and the caste members.

It was better that they knew. The knowledge would make them subconsciously try to live up to their affiliated laws, indirectly being more useful to Kael in the long run.

The wolves knew that they were affiliated with the law of Hunt and have been okay with it.

Although it wasn’t immediate, it could be guessed that they would eventually start to build their character and culture around this law, just like the lions and tigers did.

Eventually, the same would happen with the other castes. It was a gradual uplifting of the whole civilization as they all gave themselves purpose.

Of course, Kael had a long-term plan for doing this. He planned on finding the other Primordials of these castes once he was out of here.

And just in case they were not yet born, he wanted to be ready and have the power to snatch them for himself.

He already had the Vulture Primordial of Death. He imagined what it would be like to have the Wolf Primordial, Bear Primordial, Crocodile Primordial, and so on.

He was very interested in the Zebra Primordials and some others. Although he had not yet finalized his Conqueror Contract with Marcus, he was almost done.

Imagining what it would be like to not just have power over death, but also the powers of other Primordials.

Kael’s eyes were calm as these thoughts quickly flashed through his mind. No one must know of this plan, not yet.

Not even his supporters from heaven must know about this idea, not until it was too late.

For now, they should just assume that the reason he wanted to find the Primordials was to strengthen the caste, they didn’t know that Kael had ulterior motives.

Seeing the numerous creatures in humanoid form standing around, Kael didn’t erase his expression.

He walked forward, his white suit giving an imposing contrast against the whole vicinity. He looked like the only pure entity among the whole creatures present.

"Did you all decide to have the meeting here?" Kael asked with a mighty telepathic wave that pushed its way into their minds.

Ozia’s jovial expression faltered, he didn’t know whether his father was in a good mood or not.

At least, he was talking to the caste leaders first, not him.

"Ozia, what are you doing here?" Kael’s question came like the blade of a guillotine, sealing the young prince’s fate.

"I...I...I came..." The once proud and arrogant Ozia stammered, finding it hard to organize his words and state his reason for being here. However, as funny as it was, no one dared to laugh.

Laughing could put the king in a bad mood. Coughing, sneezing, even breathing too hard, anything that could momentarily distract Kael and cause him annoyance could put him in a bad mood.

Of course, Kael wasn’t that insufferable and tyrannical. But he wouldn’t waste his time defending himself as that reputation saved him a lot of trouble.

"They came to report themselves to you, Your Majesty," Priya, being understanding as ever, spoke up for Ozia.

Kael’s gaze shifted to the grey-haired, mature woman walking out from the side of the assembled crowd.

Walking beside her were four little lion children, Kael’s children.

Kael’s expression didn’t soften, although his stance became less domineering.

He hadn’t stopped walking and arrived in front of Marcus and Ozia. He acted like his father wasn’t among them, ignoring the latter’s existence as though he was never there.

"Your Majesty," Marcus stepped forward as he bowed to Kael, "We’ve all been thinking of rescheduling the meeting and pushing it closer.

If you consent, we will prepare this place for the meeting immediately. If you don’t, we’ll immediately travel to the destination you choose,"

Marcus spoke respectfully and Father looked on with envy masking his old face.

"This place is fine. Let’s have the meeting here and decide everything once and for all," Kael said, nodding to approve the rescheduling.

Immediately, the different creatures all went to work and began using their powers.

Tents were dismantled and the ground was reshaped.

The children watched in amazement as the caste leaders ordered their members around, supervising the construction of this temporary hall.

The use of abilities wasn’t what excited them, it was the manner in which their father had exercised his power and authority over these creatures that amazed them.

They moved according to his will.

Ozia was amazed.

"Ozia," The Young Prince heard his father’s voice, causing him to swallow an imaginary lump, "What did you come to report?"
