CHAPTER 388: CHAPTER 388: BROTHERS

Today was a day of celebration.

Two things were happening today. Ozia and his siblings were officially crowned as Lion Princes.

It was also the day that Kael and his family received tributes from their vassals.

The Iron Blood Pyramid was filled with guests, all of whom were lions and lionesses.

Within the pocket dimension that housed the Iron Blood Pyramid, the pyramid was lit with red dancing light that gave the whole artificial world a menacing and joyful atmosphere.

Within the halls and unrestricted rooms of the Iron Blood Pyramid, pride leaders of different stature and strength mingled with each other, laughing and jesting about different things.

In one hall at the lowest level, close to fifty pride leaders in their humanoid forms were here. They all wore nice attire and looked extra luxurious today.

Their refined appearances further solidified their royal heritage and gave them noble auras. They walked, stood, and talked with elegance and class.

They chattered in the language of the lions discussing conquest plans and political dramas among the sub-caste of the vassals.

Wolves stood guard at different locations, observing the party with an expressionless face.

At the same time, Peacocks and foxes passed by once in a while, in their humanoid forms, carrying trays filled with wooden mugs.

The lions, perceiving the sweet fragrance of the liquid inside those cups, stretched out their hands with greedy smiles on their faces to take them.

Soon, each fox or peacock waiter had their trays empty and they left the hall to take more.

The wolf guards swallowed their saliva as they perceived the fragrance inside those cups. They had to maintain composure and professionalism so as to get their benefits after the show.

Even the fox waiters had looks of distress in their eyes as they passed by their fellow workers. They wanted to take a sip of these drinks, but they were not allowed to.

One of the lion guests, a humanoid with shabby hair and two white wings behind him, raised the cup to his lips and took a sip.

The reddish-purple liquid entered his mouth and washed his taste buds. The man’s eyes widened as he quickly chugged in more of the liquid.

It was so sweet, so strong, so intoxicating.

It was flavored, alcoholic, blood. Drained from creatures that were still alive before they were bottled up and stored in a freezer room.

As soon as they finished one cup, the lions looked around, searching for another waiter. But they were also making sure to keep their composure not to lose face.

Many of them still had deals with these snobby lions and didn’t want to look weak in front of possible future opponents.

"Oh look, it’s the young princes," Some called out.

Immediately, everyone turned to see three children walking into the hall, escorted by nothing but their suffocating aura.

Each of them had the aura of a tier 4 lion, putting them among the upper class of lion society.

At such a young age, they had achieved this level of power, one could only imagine what they would achieve in the future. It was to be expected as they had inherited their talent from a unique entity.

Ozia was not among these three youngsters. The three were Jeremiah, son of Nalii, Silas, son of Priya, and Kratos, son of Diane.

Kratos was quite popular, just like Ozia. He was known for always seeking challenges and extreme activities. According to him, the only time he felt alive was when he was staring death in the face.

Only when he could feel his hot blood rushing through his veins and adrenaline pumping all over his body, would he feel excited.

Currently, Kratos, who had shabby and wild-looking brown hair, looked bored. He saw a peacock waiter passing with a tray.

The tray had just one cup remaining and one of the guests was already reaching out to take it.

Kratos had stretched out his hand but upon seeing the second person who wanted to take it, he retracted his hand.

The guest, a white haired elderly man, froze in shock.

"Prince Kratos, please, you can have it, don’t mind me," The white-haired elderly man said as he stepped back with a sorry smile.

"Oh, thank you then," Kratos said while sending a small nod his way. The peacock man who had been hesitant before quickly lowered himself so that Kratos could take the drink.

Kratos was tall for his age, much taller than Ozia. His muscles were still in their developmental stage but in terms of body size, he would be considered quite large.

A mix of fat and muscle.

Kratos took a sip of the drink. His expression didn’t change as he savored the sweet and strong taste.

"Elephant blood, peach flavor, very harsh on the throat," Kratos commented lightly to himself, not really talking to anyone.

"It must be fresh from mother’s personal peach collection," Jeremiah added as he sipped from a cup that he had gotten somewhere.

Silas was offered a drink but he simply waved it away, clearly not interested.

"Where is Ozia? We’re supposed to all be at the throne room in a while," Silas inquired.

"Probably goofing around with his admirers," Kratos said.

"Hey, have you seen Ozia?" Jeremiah asked to a silver-haired wolf man standing guard not too far from them.

The wolf guard closed his eyes and touched his head, connecting to the collective spirit channel they used to communicate.

He opened his eyes and looked at the princes," Young Princes, Prince Ozia was last seen on the level below, heading to one of the bedrooms."

Silas frowned, "Was he with anyone?" He asked.

The wolf guard looked uncomfortable. He didn’t want to be the one to expose such a thing.

"Answer him!" Kratos suddenly thundered, his childish voice carrying a commanding tone.

"Yes, he was with one of the fox waiters," The wolf guard answered.

Silas slapped his forehead while Kratos started laughing, "Ah, as expected. He’s probably bored with the standard and wants to test out some fetishes," Kratos jested.

"We don’t have time for his stupid fetishes," Silas was annoyed, "If he’s late, he’ll put father in a bad mood.

Seems like it’s been long since he had Auntie Katari’s punishment."

Listening to Silas, Kratos shuddered. He had not been trained by Katari, but by his own mother. There was no need for him, a War Lion, to train under anyone but his mother.

He had always heard tales of Katari’s heart-piercing, heart-rending punishments that everyone feared.

However, if anything bad happened on this occasion, it may give Katari an excuse to serve Kratos the punishment that he had avoided for so long.

"Let’s go get him, we still have like thirty minutes," Kratos said as he passed his empty cup to the nearest waiter.

"You, lead us," Jeremiah commanded the wolf guard. The wolf guard swallowed hard but had no choice but to lead the way.

The other pride leader guests murmured amongst themselves, wondering what was happening.

The three brothers rushed, following the wolf guard from behind until they reached the desired elevator.

They had been in this pyramid many times since they were born and already knew the whole place like the back of their hands.

The wolf guard and the brothers took the elevator, ascending to the bedroom level above and leaving their guests behind.

Some wolf guards were also stationed on the bedroom level and seemed to be waiting for the young princes.

"This way, young princes," One of the guards quickly bowed and led the way.

They followed until the wolf guard suddenly stopped walking with a look of fear in his eyes.

"Your Excellencies, Prince Ozia specifically asked that none of us disturb him or get within fifty steps of the bedroom," The wolf guard said with a helpless expression.

"Okay, thank you," Silas said before the three of them walked forward.

They reached a shimmering blue door that led to a small room. All the rooms on this level were very ordinary compared to the luxurious ones on the third level.

If anyone were using this room for anything, it would be inconspicuous as almost none would think to check all of them.

*BAM! BAM! BAM!...*

Kratos hammered on the glowing door with his hand, causing ripples to spread.

"Come out Ozia, we know you’re in there," Kratos shouted. These rooms didn’t have the same noise cancellation as the luxurious rooms on the third level. Definitely, those who were inside could hear the banging.

"Shit!" A muffled shout was heard from inside, followed by the yelp of a female.

Jeremiah rolled his eyes, "Bro, we’re late..."

The blue glowing door dissolved and the inside of the room could be seen.

Silas’s eyelids twitched, Kratos had a funny smile on his face, and Jeremiah just rolled his eyes.

Ozia stood at the center of the room with his little arms behind his back. His nose was facing the ceiling and his chest was puffed out.

Behind him, on the circular bed, a young fox lady knelt and hid her face as she bowed toward the direction of the door.

From the looks of things, she was in the process of undressing...or getting dressed. Ozia had not been here for long so it was probably the former.

"Brother’s...," Ozia said with confidence and a clear lack of shame, "How dare you..."
