Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 396: A Very Old Creature, Pulse
CHAPTER 396: CHAPTER 396: A VERY OLD CREATURE, PULSE
Ibadon tilted his massive head, unknowingly shifting the gravitational pull on the arkship.
A small section of the arkship opened. Since there was no medium in space for Ordinary Sound waves to pass through, there was no noise as the metal pieces shifted.
A large green dragon crawled out of the open gate, tapping its deep black claws on the metal surface of the arkship.
"Regent Ibadon, was she the Primordial Lion?" The green dragon asked as he folded his wings and walked carefully toward Ibadon.
As the dragon walked, he felt a subtle shift in gravitational pull. It wasn’t much but he felt it, it was coming from Ibadon’s body.
The green dragon sighed, the power of this entity never ceased to amaze him.
"No, it wasn’t. But for a brief moment..." Ibadon paused, "It felt like it was."
Ibadon thought silently. Many memories were brought to the surface, memories of his battle with Noel.
Ibadon shuddered and his eyes narrowed.
The green dragon was beside him. From another perspective, one would see that Ibadon was more than a hundred times the size of the green dragon.
Ibadon’s body could not be fully seen. The outlines of his body were blurry and it was hard to tell where his flesh ended or where the void began.
The green dragon himself was about ten meters long from head to tail and four meters tall from claw to shoulder.
His neck was like that of a horse, except way more flexible and covered with emerald green scales.
"Regent Ibadon, why didn’t you do anything? You could have easily stopped her from escaping if you wanted." The green dragon asked.
"Imperial Guard Voldemort, why didn’t you also act? You are in command of an arkship, yet you wait for me?" Ibadon asked as he turned his massive head slightly to look at the green dragon.
Imperial Guard Voldemort bowed, not daring to look the dragon-lion hybrid in the eye.
"Regent, I was a bit confused by what was happening and was waiting for you to make a move first," The green dragon responded respectfully.
"I see," Ibadon nodded, " I was initially waiting for someone to come and save the lioness, it would have been worthwhile to destroy all of them at once.
I didn’t expect the Primordial Lion to actually do such a thing, he bestowed his power to another entity.
That is indeed very interesting. I need to study more.
As for that lioness? Just let her go. All of them are destined to be destroyed by me one way or the other."
"But Regent," Voldemort said, "What about your teachings of eliminating problems from the root?"
Ibadon went silent, dangerously silent.
Voldemort bowed his head, "I’m sorry Regent Ibadon, I didn’t mean to say it like that."
Ibadon shook his head, his pale red pupils turned to a bright blue color, "No no, you’re right. I cannot allow myself to become too overconfident.
Our asset in the Leonine heaven will finish her off for us."
After saying this, Ibadon’s eyes returned to a pale red.
Voldemort nodded, "Yes Regent, your idea is fantastic."
Ibadon rolled his eyes, wasn’t this dragon too old to be a flatterer?
"I actually appreciate when those around me are honest and straight to the point.
I’ve been alive for so long and I’ve played every game anyone would want to play. I might not always have the patience for dodgy conversations, but I would always tolerate straightforward answers.
Feel free to point out any errors you find me making."
Voldemort nodded again, "I will make sure to keep that in mind for the future."
Imperial Guard Voldemort didn’t know whether he would ever need to be so honest with Ibadon in the future. He honestly wished such a day would not come.
Ibadon was old, very very very old.
When historical records stretch into millions of years, it becomes hard to pinpoint the exact date when some events happened.
Sometimes, no one knows if that very memorable war happened one million years ago or three million years ago.
Some know that it was within that time frame.
However, Ibadon knew the exact date down to the very second. This dragon-lion hybrid was a walking history book as he had personally led some key historical events.
Even before his battle with Noel, he was already a supreme being in the universe, a true immortal lifeform.
How could Voldemort who was barely a thousand years old treat Ibadon casually? He wouldn’t dare to do such a thing.
Voldemort couldn’t even begin to imagine what life would be like, living for such a long time.
He wanted that kind of immortality, of course. Even Ibadon had said that three million years wasn’t enough as he still occasionally found himself surprised by different things.
But as Ibadon said, he had experienced a lot of conversations that it would be incredibly annoying for him if someone began to beat around the bush with him.
"That aura, we still have time to kill the Primordial Lion before he gets too strong."
As Ibadon said this, the other arkships and magic shuttles began to move away from the broken planet.
///////
"What was that?" A Lion King asked, surprised and confused.
He, along with hundreds of other Lion Kings, was inside the Command Chamber of Ma’abu’s personal arkship.
They were currently in the Void Spill Galaxy and were still discussing strategies and in what formation they would spread out when they felt that powerful and awe-inspiring pulse of Conquering Essence.
They began to discuss with each other.
"How could it be? Has he decided to come out of hiding just because he found out that we are looking for him?"
"He must be a pussy, as expected. Let’s kill him quickly so that he doesn’t taint our culture,"
"Something is not right. The Primordial Lion shouldn’t be so noticeable that he can’t even hide himself."
"Well, historically, that kind of pulse is only felt when a Primordial Lion has attained some kind of terrifying power.
At least, that’s what the records of Jin and Noel hold."
"Not all Primordials are the same, this new one would release Conquering Essence pulses, but it may not be for the same reason Noel and Jin released theirs."
"You don’t know anything, do you? Irrespective of the reason for the pulse, we can follow its direction this time. It seems the Primordial Lion has come out from hiding..."
"Guys, someone just sent a spirit projection, he said that he felt the Primordial Lion in heaven."
...
...
...
That last comment from an unknown lion instantly silenced everyone talking in the telepathic channel.
"What the fuck do you mean he appeared in heaven, we just got here!"
"Are you joking? Most of the supporters are still in heaven."
"Shit shit shit,"
"Hold on guys, it’s not him, false alarm,"
"What was it?"
"It was just some lioness, she’s a supporter of the Primordial Lion too,"
"Can we get someone to investigate her?"
"Not unless you want to die, she with the Fanged Flower Alliance. All of them are Primordial Supporters."
"Those darned females, trying to take our crowns. It will not work!"
"Hey, what do you have against females, don’t tell me you like males?"
"Bastard!"
"You did not disagree, it must be true!"
"That’s enough. What do we do now?"
Most of the lion kings looked to the massive three-meter-tall lion sitting on the white pillow at the center of the command chamber.
Ma’abu had his eyes closed. He was aware of everything and knew that there was pressure to make a snappy decision.
They could either continue with their initial plan, or go and investigate the location from which the pulse had come.
"We can do both," Ma’abu said.
"What?" Someone asked.
"I and a few others will move toward the direction of the pulse to investigate. The rest of you will continue to spread and start sending warp signals as soon as possible.
Don’t worry about him escaping to heaven. I can use my powers to accelerate time around our heavenly beacons and reduce the cooldown.
When the time comes, we’ll be ready."
Ma’abu said this with a firm will and an iron determination. He was sure that they would find the Primordial Lion.
As for the cooldown of the heavenly beacons, it was a flaw or a feature that came with it.
Each heavenly beacon had two limits. They had a one-year cooldown, and no one could change their initial position when returning back from heaven to the main universe.
Wherever they were when they left for heaven is where they would typically return when coming back.
However, these limits could be manipulated by Space and Time lions.
This was something that all of them knew of and had been practicing for millions of years.
A few Space Lion Kings were present while Ma’abu being a Time Lion, was a major game changer.

On Eridoria.
Kael opened his eyes, and the images of the frozen planet and the hundreds of dragons coming from the sky flashed through his mind.
*Sigh!!!!!!*
