Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 502: Sins Of The Fathers!
CHAPTER 502: CHAPTER 502: SINS OF THE FATHERS!
"Tigers?" one of the lion kings asked as he looked through the holographic screen showing the enhanced image of the wreckage.
The hostile arkships had not stopped at all despite their comrades being annihilated like that. They still had the numbers advantage and from the way they were moving, it seemed like they had come for a particular objective.
"Get ready to activate your distortion fields!" Exalon commanded as he looked out through the hole in the wall of his throne room.
His son had already taken his place on the pillow throne at the center of the room and was controlling the whole pyramid and its weapon systems.
Before the system, Exalon would have never trusted anyone, not even his consorts to do this.
Listening to Exalon through the group chats of the system, the respective lion kings did as they were told.
Distortion fields, like the one that Kael’s arkship had been able to generate, were not common. Very few lions would go out of their way to modify their arkships to be able to do that.
That was because the space in the arkship was limited. A very advanced technology like distortion field engines consumed a lot of space that could just be used for weapon systems.
If one decided to add a distortion field, they would have to eventually dedicate that arkship to stealth operations only as it wouldn’t be able to function out in the open like other modified arkships.
Noel, when he personally designed that arkship, obviously had this in mind as the arkship was meant to shield Planet Eridoria and the future Primordial Lion.
Such arkships existed in heaven but they were very few.
As Exalon ordered for the distortion fields to be ready, a select few arkships rose or descended. They moved around, forming their own separate rings around the black pyramid.
At the same time, Exalon stepped out of the hole in the wall with a stern and serious expression.
Instead of falling, his body floated, hovering forward with rising killing intent and a suppressed desire to slaughter.
Exalon looked very regal as he flew forward. His knees were bent slightly and his hands were balled into fists. His grey hair and the edges of his white kaftan flowed softly, blown by his intense aura.
His chest seemed to swell larger with every breath he took and his eyes became more golden.
Exalon’s aura was changing, about to become something no one had ever imagined before.
"TIGERS!"
"HOW DARE THEY!"
*ROAR!*
The various lions who spotted the corpses of the tigers erupted in primal rage and disgust.
Weren’t these the traitors who had abandoned Noel when the lions needed them most?
Not only did they show their face again, but they also somehow managed to enter heaven and directly make an attack on the Primordial Lion.
The audacity!
Some arkships didn’t even wait in the defensive formation, especially those arkships piloted by War Lions, Fire Lions, and Electric Lions.
They burst out with righteous fury, their arkships leaving blazing trails behind them as they sought to pierce through the veil of hostile metal and destruction.
"These tigers are so fucking brazen! They make me wanna kill myself!"
"They are worse than the sinners!"
"Their ancestors betrayed Noel. The sins of the fathers burden the sons! Their descendants must pay."
"Kings! Let us rid our cousins of their sin, let us put them to eternal fucking rest!"
As they blaze their way to the enemies, the kings who decided to stay behind to maintain the defensive formation didn’t disappoint.
They supported the chargers with volleys of disgustingly powerful cannon blasts, using warp engines to fire projectiles that moved faster than the speed of light.
Exalon watched with his heart beating fast, he could feel two more rising auras around the pyramid.
Kael was really not going to stand by and watch.
Conquering Mode Avatar consumed more and more Conquering Essence the higher the tier of the individual it was used on, but Kael wasn’t letting back.
And he was plotting all this preparation while simultaneously working on the Pride Sync feature.
*BOOM!*
The multicoloured void was lit up with the magnificent light of a powerful explosion.
One of the Primordial Supporter’s arkships exploded after colliding with the many relentless attacks of the tiger arkships.
This was just the start as more and more arkships on both sides started exploding.
It took a really long time for Tier 6 lion kings to reach their power levels, and it also took a significant amount of resources to build an arkship.
Any tier 6 lion or an arkship would be far more valuable than even three Origin Worlds out together.
But here they were, being destroyed in the multitudes as if it didn’t take any effort to gather them.
The identity marks disappeared from the lion system one by one, marking the final departure of the kings and their clan members.
Kael’s heart bled.
On the side of the hostiles, they had about a hundred thousand arkships, including the few lion arkships at the back of the horde.
On the Primordial Supporters’ side, they had close to thirty thousand arkships at the moment, and the massive black pyramid behind them.
The two forces clashed.
Distortion fields were immediately generated as soon as the hostile arkships got within range.
The hostile arkships were rid of their ability to use their warp engines but not all of them were moving in the same direction.
Some of them aimed higher, tilting the arkships toward the top of the pyramid before flying forward.
Because of this, a group of arkships had inevitably flown toward Exalon.
*BA-DUMP!*
Exalon’s eyes were opened wide and his muscles went tense.
Golden veins bulged in his skin, showing the power of the Primordial Lion starting to flow through him.
A deep ancient growl escaped Exalon’s lips as his body began to expand.
With no access to their warp engines, Exalon and the others were able to adjust their reaction times and they could see the moving enemies clearly.
The black pyramid was not idle. Before any arkship reached Exalon, they were barraged by streams of energy beams from the firing cannons.
Pieces of metal blasted all around, creating shockwaves that blew Exalon’s hair back and threatened to wash away his mighty aura.
But all this was not enough.
One arkship managed to make it past the streams of cannon fire and rushed straight toward Exalon, or precisely, the throne room behind him.
Whether this arkship would be able to bash through the walls of the pyramid was questionable and Exalon wasn’t trying to find out.
Seeing an opportunity to hit something, Exalon reacted immediately. He moved forward, his body swelling rapidly until he was the size of a giant.
He opened his mouth and roared, causing the surrounding atmospheric particles to vibrate.
He pulled his right arm back insanely fast, almost as if he were a heavenly god archer pulling the strings of his divine bow.
Exalon then released as soon as the arkship was upon him. His fist shot forward, splitting the cannon beam into light pieces.
The fist dived through the chaos and destruction, finally touching the body of the arkship.
*BOOM!*
It was like the arkship had been struck by a force that couldn’t be imagined with common sense. It was sent flying back faster than it came, shooting through the void and tearing a path down the side of the pyramid.
Exalon’s new power level was revealed through that punch.
Tier 7.
For a second, both sides had to pause even for a millisecond, to process what they had just witnessed.
Did Exalon just exhibit the power level of a tier 7? Since when did the Primordial Supporters have a tier 7?
Little did they know that with Kael around, they possessed far more power than they were aware of.
Perhaps, even Kael didn’t know just how far he could go with this ability.
Alas, no one was thinking about that at this time.
Exalon’s veins bulged with hot golden blood flowing through them. The new power level was getting to his head and causing him to fuse with Kael’s intent rapidly.
He had a very strong desire to break something.
But he couldn’t leave his position to join the fray. He was supposed to be the final layer of defence for anyone trying to get a shortcut into the throne room.
After all, if they could get access to the throne level, they could find where Kael was very fast in this vast pyramid.
He was also serving as a deterrent to the hostiles as well as an instrument to uplift the morale of the lion kings.
While Exalon stood guard at the top, two other tier 7 auras burst from different points of the battlefield.
King Saul and Queen Shawty had suddenly erupted with newfound power and the auras of tier 7.
What was happening? If even the Primordial Supporters were shocked by what they were sensing, one could only imagine the dread that was starting to grow within the heart of their enemies.
By now, Exalon had noticed the corpses of tigers and frowned harder. His new golden eyes scanned the battlefield, spotting the few lion arkships at the back.
Realization struck Exalon and Kael in extension.
"Ma’abu, what have you done?" Exalon muttered with genuine fear for the implications of what he had just realized.
