Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 504: Congratulations, Here’s Your Reward.
CHAPTER 504: CHAPTER 504: CONGRATULATIONS, HERE’S YOUR REWARD.
Being outnumbered by these surprise enemies, the Primordial Supporters were holding their own and keeping themselves alive.
Some arkships managed to make it through the formation and reached the massive black pyramid but they never managed to do anything as they were blasted apart.
The closer any enemy arkship got to the pyramid, the more concentrated attacks they received.
In the course of the whole battle, Exalon himself had only needed to strike down ten or so arkships personally. Most of them were destroyed before they reached him.
Perhaps, the enemies had underestimated the strength of the black pyramid and the fighting spirit of the lion kings.
Maybe they never did their research on Exalon’s black pyramid as if they did, they would have known that this pyramid was a fortress among fortresses.
They would have known that Exalon inherited this pyramid from his father, who inherited it from his father, and so on.
And if they had checked, they would have known that at some point in Exalon’s clan’s history, one of his ancestors had started a project to build a mega pyramid that would be able to withstand the direct attack from an immortal like Ibadon.
That was what this massive black pyramid truly was. It had taken Exalon’s ancestor his whole life as well as the lives of many dedicated clan members, more than nine thousand years, to build and perfect this structure.
Most had come to know the pyramid simply as the Massive Black Pyramid, no better name could describe its size and power.
A pyramid capable of withstanding the onslaught of so many arkships and not even boasting any sign of damage.
To call this pyramid a fortress of fortresses was not a stretch as that nickname was derived from the fact that the Massive Black Pyramid was big enough to house other smaller pyramids within it.
As for whether the Massive Black Pyramid could actually withstand the power of an immortal like Ibadon, no one knew.
Forget Ibadon, they had never even found a single random immortal to test out the defensive capabilities of the pyramid.
Some even felt like nothing could truly stand in the way of a true immortal. They thought that the only reason why the pyramid was still standing was that no immortal or significantly powerful group had decided to take it down.
At least, today they could see that the Massive Black Pyramid was living up to its name.
But could this also be the only reason why the Primordial Supporters were still fighting back so aggressively with so much vigor?
Surely, the black pyramid was merely playing one role and was not responsible for the whole thing.
If it was, Exalon wouldn’t be standing guard outside the throne room as the final form of defence.
But one looks at Exalon and those who knew would understand the true reason why this miracle was happening.
Kael.
The Primordial Lion was supporting them all.
Every single beam launched had the support of Kael behind it.
With the distortion fields active, warp speed and warp signals couldn’t be used. This meant that both sides would have to rely on slower means of communication.
That’s what anyone would think if not for the System chat feature.
Thousands of lions and lion kings were constantly communicating with each other through the lion system chat.
Communication was a major factor in deciding the outcome of large-scale battles like this. Those who had a faster means of sending and receiving messages would definitely have the upper hand.
And it was showing that this was indeed giving the Primordial Supporters the upper hand.
Never did they seem like they were confused. If one arkship fell, they would immediately occupy the space with another arkship or intense cannon blasts.
Their defensive ability wasn’t just tied to the strength of their arkships, it was also tied to their coordination and the speed at which they reacted to other attacks.
Not to mention that there was King Saul who was carrying the whole battlefield along with the other fortune lions with their influence over luck.
From an outsider’s perspective, the Primordial Supporters were even having the upper hand and they were starting to push back the hostile forces.
The fact that the so-called enemies were actually tigers just made it worse for them.
[You have received a Mysterious Reward for killing a sinner.]
[You have received a reward for eliminating a (tiger) threat to The Conquering...]
[Congratulations King, you have killed a sinner, you have been rewarded...]
The sound of the system alerting them of their rewards was like music to their ears. Many of them could already imagine the spending spree they would be going on after all this was done.
But before that, they had to get rid of these hostiles.
From the looks of it, these tigers had come with a clear goal and they were not willing to fall back or take the defeat until they completed it.
...
"It’s not perfect, but it should work well," Kael said to himself under the silence of the meeting room.
With him being the only one here, there was no one to make any sound and it looked as if there was no world-shaking battle happening on the inside.
But Kael was aware of everything. He could feel the system’s Conquering Essence reserves being drained rapidly to maintain the three Conqueror Mode Avatars.
Right now, he had finished the rough version of the Pride Sync and he was ready to launch it so that his Supporters could gain another massive advantage.
At least, that’s what he would have done if not for a new development that no one expected.
Kael’s golden eyes flashed with seriousness as he stared blankly into the distance.
"Who is that?" Kael asked himself.
...
Outside, while the arkships were still engaged in their heated dogfights, something had appeared above them.
Up in the sky, far above the Massive Black Pyramid, one lone magic shuttle had appeared, drifting through the endless multicoloured void.
Exalon, Shawty, Saul, and Chen immediately noticed the abnormality.
Simultaneously, they all looked up, distracted by the unnatural flow of time.
Inside Ma’abu’s arkship, Chen stood up fully to assume his full height. He looked up, his senses piercing through the ceiling to lock on to the mysterious shuttle that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
"Who’s that?" He asked with a deep frown.
Only then did Ma’abu decide to turn his attention to the sky. The holographic screen cast a live image and put it directly in front of Ma’abu.
Instantly, Ma’abu’s facial expression went stiff.
