CHAPTER 538: CHAPTER 538: EXCITED FOR THE TRAP!

"The tigers have invaded heaven," Kael muttered with a terrifyingly calm look on his face.

"Yes, All-King," One of the lion kings reported with a stiff expression and a hunched back.

Kael’s head was lowered so that his blonde hair fell as locks to cover his forehead and eyes.

"And Jin’s Gauntlet had been found," He said stiffly.

"Yes, we confirmed it, All-King," Another lion king said, shaking on the spot. The lion king was shaking due to a mix of fear and excitement.

"Hmm," Kael raised his head and his eyes were suddenly the only thing they could see.

"So, they have decided to fuck with us thoroughly," Kael stated as he rested his back on the backrest of his pillow sofa.

"Affirmative, sire," A Magus Lion said with confidence and piousness.

"Good, very good," Kael nodded his head. The hundreds of lion kings in the room with him also nodded their heads, struggling to hold the excitement in their hearts.

"There’s a saying that the hunter never stays too far from his traps," Kael said with a confident smirk.

The lion kings nodded again, their hearts filled with eagerness.

"We just don’t know who this hunter is, Sire," A Veggie Lion Queen said.

"At least, we know it’s a trap," Another one said.

Kael twisted his lips as he used his tongue to count his teeth. His golden gaze went up to the ceiling, observing the glowing gems.

"What else do we know?" Kael asked.

The Magus Lion at the front hurriedly stepped forward.

"We know that many forces are not going to stand by and watch us reclaim a lost treasure.

The news was spread to anyone for some reason by a mysterious entity.

The objective of whoever spread this news is clear, to draw you out.

But it’s not like the news is fake. It has been confirmed that that planet is actually Jin the Purger’s final resting place, it fits the description that his son, Saint Uriel, spread while he was alive.

However, none has been able to pass the barrier surrounding the planet.

The only way to be sure that it’s fake is if we actually go in and confirm that the gauntlet is not there.

But if we do that, we’ll be falling for the trap and putting our dear All-King in danger."

The Magus Lion said it calmly as if he had been preparing to say it for a very long time now.

"Danger is a part of life at this point," Kael said, "But I will not be careless.

What else do we know?"

The Magus Lion smiled, feeling as if Kael was appreciating him for his intellectual capabilities.

"We have three suspects, All-King.

The Dragons, Ibadon to be specific, Ma’abu, and the Bees.

Ibadon and Ma’abu don’t need to be explained but we can’t say anything about the Bees as they have been quite vague with their intentions other than the fact that they were allies with the dragons.

If it’s Ibadon, we may have a problem, a serious one.

If it’s Ma’abu, we can work to catch him since he will definitely be there to make sure his trap works.

If it’s the bees, they would be provoking the whole lion race. Just the fact that they might take the gauntlet can bring the wrath of all lion kings upon them.

The lions are not afraid of adding another enemy to the list."

Intelligence flashed past Kael’s golden eyes as he settled them on the talking Magus Lion.

"What if it’s all of them?" Kael asked, but the Magus Lion was not surprised by this question, he had expected it.

"There is no way to know, All-King. Ait if factions are currently heading there right now.

Ma’abu’s arkship was last seen dashing out of a heavenly gate along with many of his comrades.

A lot of enemies are expecting you to be there, All-King. Perhaps, that is the trap.

They want you to go after the gauntlet, knowing fully well that you would be surrounded from all sides by your enemies.

They want to get rid of you with a borrowed paw, All-King."

*Silence!*

Kael stared blankly at the Magus Lion. He appreciated the straightforwardness of this lion when it came to expressing his logic-filled opinions.

"It is a challenge," Kael said. His words stirred up the emotions of the excited lion kings.

"They know that I will absolutely not sit back and watch. This is the treasure of one of our greatest ancestors..." Kael paused.

There were a few ways that he could go around this without putting his life in danger.

He could send his lion kings to the lost planet and use Conquering Mode Avatar to remotely observe and control all that was happening there.

But Kael’s fortune senses warned him that that decision might be very bad, very very bad.

For one, even if the Primordial Supporters decided to stay back in heaven, billions of lions were definitely going to try to find the gauntlet themselves.

At least, it was expected that one-third of the lion population would move out of heaven in the next few hours or days.

That meant that there would be a slight scarcity of lions, not much but enough for someone like Ibadon to storm in and cause destruction on unimaginable levels.

At that time, Ibadon would invade heaven with his dragon army with only one purpose, to eliminate the Primordial Lion.

Resistance will be significantly weakened, and almost nothing will be able to stand in their way.

Kael’s life would very likely have been forfeited if he were still in heaven at that time.

Not just Ibadon and the dragons, Kael would be vulnerable to many other threats. Ma’abu and his mysterious allies, those traitors who have subscribed to the powers of other Primordial.

Even neutral lions had their uses.

If Kael had full control over heaven and the lions, perhaps, he wouldn’t mind staying back and creating an absolute fortress out of millions of lion kings.

But as it stood now, Kael was more likely to be safe if he mixed in with the crowd.

Kael scoffed, grunting and blowing out a hot stream of air from his nostrils.

"We will go!.." He declared, sitting up.

"We shall reclaim!.." He stood up from the pillow sofa.

By now, the lions were so pumped up, some of them had to bite themselves to hold back their roars.

"... AND WE SHALL CONQUER!" Kael roared, a golden pulse of energy bursting out of his body and blanketing over all the lion kings here and beyond.

Their hearts were filled with the Conqueror’s Intent and their eyes the faint golden hue of conquest as well as thick killing intent.
