CHAPTER 539: CHAPTER 539: FACTIONS GATHERED

The Great Purification had to be put on hold.

Even the tigers that were still in Leonine Heaven used the opportunity to escape; if not, they would truly suffer a fate worse than death once the lions turned their focus against them again.

In the plane sometimes referred to as the Main Universe, or the Mortal Universe, different heavenly gates began to appear in the vicinity of a certain galaxy.

Hallowed Way Galaxy.

This galaxy was super large, being more than five hundred light-years in width.

At the center of the galaxy was a dense black hole with a clear event horizon.

The actual black hole itself could not be seen very clearly due to the void backdrop, but any being or technology with a sense of direction would be able to feel the subtle gravitational effects.

Billions of stars orbited this galaxy.

But there was something else about this galaxy that made it peculiar and also probably contributed to the reason why Jin had chosen this place as his final resting point.

The Hallowed Galaxy was mobile, eternally drifting through the confines of the universe from one random end to the other.

In the Known Universe, most galaxies were stationary and hardly moved out of place, allowing for precise coordinates and accurate galactic maps.

But galaxies like this Hallowed Galaxy existed that never stood still.

Perhaps, a void-shattering battle had taken place long ago that caused the galaxy to drift the way it was drifting.

The only way for the galaxy to stop would be if it were stopped by an external force, like another galaxy or it passed by an object with a strong gravitational pull.

If not for that, this object that was in motion would perpetually remain in motion until all the stars and black holes died out.

However, since this galaxy has technically been around since the time of Jin, the probability of it encountering other stronger cosmic objects with powerful gravity was high.

Yet, the Hallowed Galaxy still existed and drifted aimlessly. It was as if it were coincidentally avoiding all the cosmic objects that would have caused its location to be found.

The Hallowed Galaxy existed as proof of how big cosmic objects could literally go missing and never be found.

Until today.

*WHOOSH! WHOOSH WHOOSH!*

Thousands of arkships streaked through the starry void, bending space and time due to their sheer numbers.

They came from every direction, infiltrating the galaxy with their blinding streaks and greedy intents.

All of them were moving towards one particular position, a particular star system, a particular planet.

At this particular star system, it was chaos.

Arkships flew around, blasting energy beams and rockets at each other.

Dragon arkships, lion arkships, tiger arkships, and even some rogue races dared to show their faces here.

There were wyverns, rogue wolf mercenary groups, and some nomadic races.

Even the bees had arrived with a fleet of fleshy-looking arkships that looked like they had been grown instead of built.

Most surprising of all, horses were here.

Almost all the factions had arrived.

It was said that the horses had a really thriving civilization that spanned multiple galaxies, all they needed was a heaven of their own to cement their position in the universe.

Obviously, the easiest heaven they would probably be able to find is the one that already belonged to the lions...

This chaos and conflict were extending to hundreds of star systems. Many of the parties present had not even used their own eyes to see the designated planet before they were blasted to smithereens.

Out of all who had come, the bees received the least amount of attacks. Most of the energy beams that came their way were strays and they hardly returned fire unless they wanted to clear a path.

The bees were not to be trifled with.

The main instigators of the conflict were the Dragons and the Lions.

The dragons, being easily angered and having bad temperaments, could barely take the taunts from the lions and tigers without delivering vengeful retaliation.

The lions did not need too much reason to attack though. The very idea of other inferior races coveting their racial treasure boiled their blood to the extreme and filled them with fury that could only be quenched by the blood and tears of their enemies.

But, there was another reason why there were so many arkships and their commanders fighting outside instead of going after the gauntlet itself.

Kael, who had already sneaked in stealthily past all the energy beams along with a dense convoy of his supporters’ arkships, was soon about to find out.

From the arkship that he was in, Kael observed all the fights and explosions with a dark expression.

"So insignificant," Kael muttered. He sat comfortably on top of his pillow throne in the command chamber and was in his lion form.

He had to be ready.

"Indeed," Alora said.

Kael naturally would not come alone, with people that he was not familiar with. Every pride leader had to keep their lionesses close in dangerous times like this, even though they weren’t all that powerful.

For this trip, Kael had brought all his consorts along, including Alora.

This was important as it would give them time to understand the slight changes that Kael now exhibited.

Out of all the consorts, Chloe was the only one to show a slight bit of reluctance to come.

Luckily, Alora was not unnecessarily cruel like Katari and actually kept Chloe by her side, hoping that Kael would not notice.

But Kael did, he just didn’t think of replacing her as a possibility yet.

Or did he?

Kael shifted his sight to look at Alora, also in her lioness form, like everyone else.

Her large white form stood next to Chloe who was now a black furred and black winged lioness.

Kael’s golden gaze shifted from one of them to the other, silently wondering how these two could be friends in the first place.

"Once we are done, the Consort Trial shall begin.

I shall select participants for future consorts’ roles and possible...replacements," Kael said calmly.

He was blunt, and his message was clear.

Sit up or get kicked out.

Chloe was not stupid and could understand what Kael was trying to say. She sighed.

Alora looked at her with a cold blue gaze. Mentally, she understood that she could only support Chloe. If Chloe didn’t do her best or at least make an effort, she would have to leave her side.

Kael needed strong and fierce warriors by his side who would assist him in Conquering, not whining pussies who felt they were entitled to the good life but didn’t want the work that came with it.

Kael turned his head away, now was not the time to talk about it, it was too early to draw a conclusion on her current behaviour.

Besides Kael and his consorts, other lion kings were packed into the chamber of command with them.

So many tier 6 entities, enough to destroy a planet if they all unleashed their casual attacks at once.

Gabby, Exalon, Shawty, and Saul were also here.

Shawty had already stopped trying to get into Kael’s pants after he made it clear that he just wasn’t interested. She sensed that if she continued her advances, she would end up irritating the All-King and devalue herself in front of him.

It was good to know that the All-King thought with his head not his dick.

For now, Kael merely used her as a figurehead in the circle of lion queens.

Whether it was accepted or not, no one could deny that the unorthodox path these lion queens chose was not helpful.

Shawty was useful in the sense that she could serve as the medium between Kael and these lion queens.

For now.

Who knows? They might actually succeed in forming a coalition strictly for Lion Queens.

Personally, Kael didn’t favor them. But they were very useful and a lot of them were already in possession of heavenly beacons, so why not?

As long as it was going to be of benefit to his purposes he didn’t mind. It wasn’t like the existence of lion queens was a taint to the purity of the lion race.

It was the same with Gabby who was now Kael’s proxy among the members of the Cosmic Research Coalition.

And Exalon served as the liaison for the members of the Battle Born Coalition.

All that was left were the Sovereign Commerce and the Shadow Tyranny Coalitions. Sooner or later, Kael desired to infiltrate their circles too.

Speaking of factions, or lack thereof, Memphis was here, and she was with Ozia.

Ozia’s new appearance definitely shocked those who knew him. From the body of a child to the body of a young adult lion, it was shocking.

And he was now more powerful than when he last met them. Although still tier 4, he was making progress rapidly.

The news that Ozia was officially Memphis’s latest student sent shockwaves through the smaller societies and alliances of the lion race.

Kael already saw a sharp increase in the rate of new lions joining the system. This was good.

The big catch would be those other tier 7 lions that would now be drawn to Kael and wonder what he had to offer to Memphis to make her stay.

Fortunately for everyone, many of those tier 7 entities had come to the Hallowed Galaxy for Jin’s Gauntlet.
