Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 552: How Pitiful
CHAPTER 552: CHAPTER 552: HOW PITIFUL
A few hundred meters away from Kael and the fountain of Conquering Essence, Katari and the lion kings barraged Ma’abu and his allies with incredible ferocity.
The Anti-Primordial lion kings did not have much solidarity when it came to fighting against their enemies, after all, they had mostly been using tigers for their dirty work.
When an insane lioness tore through their defenses and began slaughtering all of them like chickens, they balked.
As indomitable as the lion spirit was, they knew that this cause wasn’t worth dying for.
Besides, Ma’abu had already done the needful, he had delivered the tail of that anti-lion to the neck of the All-King, just as planned.
All they had to do now was create distance between themselves and watch the rest of the years unfold from the shadows.
But how could they live when the Highest Killer sought to make them suffer?
Kael’s wrathful screams and the sound of the land exploding under the weight of his forceful aura and will resounded in their ears.
They took it as a sign of victory, they just had to make sure they stayed alive to enjoy it.
Unfortunately for them, Kael’s scream rubbed the Primordial Supporters the wrong way.
Not only could they hear the anguish in the roar of the All-King, they could also sense their connection to the lion system faltering.
Then there was the Nest Call initiated by Imperial Guard Voldemort and the newly arrived group of dragons posed greater danger to both groups.
Then the one thousand plus tier 7 arrived, instantly ending most of the ongoing conflicts with their presence alone.
The presence of many tier 7 lions should have instantly given the lions the leverage to get out of here and solve their differences somewhere else.
Alas, the mastermind behind this gathering had just arrived, and he wasn’t planning on letting anyone go without.
When Ibadon’s calm yet heavy voice echoed across the world, it was as if all atoms had to stop just to listen to him.
It was terrifying.
All creatures on the Battle Planet, irrespective of their race, heard Ibadon’s voice.
And they felt a kind of fear that shouldn’t exist in the mind of a mortal. The kind of fear that was just unthinkable, a fear that would make weaker creatures go mad.
It was an eldritch power that Ibadon didn’t need to actively exercise, it just existed.
*BAM!*
Ma’abu’s lion form crashed into the snowy plains, his black mane tangled with the little bits of ice and snow.
"Stop!" He shouted, only for him to be met with a crushing slap that bashed one side of his face into the ground.
The flow of time accelerated around him and he prepared to escape.
Too bad, his opponent was a space lioness, the perfect counter to time lions.
Time was accelerated, but no matter how fast Ma’abu moved, he could barely travel more than one meter for one full minute.
In short, he wasn’t even making any progress in escaping at all.
He would have fought back except he couldn’t see what he was fighting against. Attacks came from all sides.
Ma’abu was now missing an eye. Where his left eye used to be was a bloody mess. Deep gashes were widening in different areas of his body.
His intestines were visible through the fleshy cracks, and his lungs could be seen expanding and retracting through the hole in his chest.
Ma’abu was able to maintain his health for a limited amount of time by slowing down the flow of time for his organs and cells, allowing him to operate normally until a healing factor came along.
But would Katari let him?
*BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!*
Four different lion kings streaked over to Ma’abu and crashed into his body.
They were Gabby, Saul, Shawty, and one other lion king. They pressed Ma’abu down, baring their nasty fangs at his open eyes and sinking their claws deeper into his bleeding wounds.
They resisted the urge to kill him right there and then. They would have done it, they really would have just ripped out his throat and torn him to shreds.
This planet would be his graveyard.
But the Highest Killer denied it.
Killing Ma’abu here was not impossible, but that would mean he was honoured by letting him die in the same place that Jin the Purger died to.
Katari, feeling the desire to be by Kael’s side at the very moment, couldn’t derive any pleasure in torturing Ma’abu, she left it to the rest.
Gabby summoned some magic runes, imprinting them quickly on Ma’abu’s body to prevent him from escaping or using his power.
Meanwhile, while Gabby was preparing the binding runes with his full focus, the others stared at the sky.
The battle between the Anti-Primordial lion kings and the Primordial Supporters had ceased for the moment as they took in the gravity of the situation they had found themselves in.
On one side were the dragons, on the other side were the tier 7 lions, and above it all, cloaked in his black cape that seemed to suck out all the light from the world, Ibadon floated.
More creatures were approaching fast to this location, the stormy clouds were dissipating, the world was crumbling, and the All-King was dying.
Soon, the arkships from above would be able to send down a rain of cannon beans, the kind that only tier 7 and immortals would be able to survive.
Could the lions survive this? Could the All-King survive this?
What was the point of winning for the Anti-Primordials if Ibadon still ended up succeeding?
Peace? At what cost?
The one who saw everything with the most clarity was Memphis, the most unwilling participant in this fuckery.
But now, her mind, will and intent were gradually mixing with that of the All-King.
The ground had burst open and Exalon was flying straight toward Ibadon, the fabric of space cracked around the black gauntlet that had now replaced Exalon’s right limb.
The gauntlet was aimed at Ibadon’s exposed chin, and Memphis erected a time flow barrier around herself and Kael.
"How pitiful," Ibadon said calmly.
