Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 553: Ten Million Years
CHAPTER 553: CHAPTER 553: TEN MILLION YEARS
Kael pulled.
He pulled with all his might.
He burned all the energy he could.
But the anti-lion tail was moving slowly.
It wasn’t that it was too strong to pull off. Contrary to what one might expect, the tail was actually very light and not that heavy.
However, when Kael touched it, he felt all the strength in his body being snapped away.
The tip of his fingers was weak and his grip was no longer as strong as it was meant to be.
He felt like an infant trying to uproot a stubborn weed. It was hard, but not impossible.
The appearance of Ibadon did not surprise Kael; it just made him slightly angrier at this point.
What was there to be surprised about again?
But he had to admit, Ma’abu had really outdone himself. It was a good plan, even though Kael had not expected it.
But everyone made a miscalculation today.
Kael knew that this place was a trap, he didn’t know who exactly it was. The odds of it being Ibadon were there but it was also very low as Ibadon would normally not need to result to such methods.
The most likely suspect was Ma’abu.
And Ma’abu had indeed set a trap, just not the one Kael had expected.
It was a trap within another trap.
Ma’abu had probably thought that the news of the gauntlet was a trap set by Kael himself to draw him out.
None knew that Ibadon had been merely using the gauntlet as bait to draw Kael out of heaven so that he could deal with the lion race thoroughly.
If not for Ma’abu, perhaps, the situation would not be as dire as it is now.
Perhaps...
"How pitiful," Ibadon said.
He stretched out his gloved hand at the approaching Exalon.
*BAM!*
It was as if Exalon had slammed into an immovable structure. His head and neck nearly compressed beyond their limits upon coming into contact with Ibadon’s palm.
Ibadon raised his hand and slashed his index finger at Exalon.
Just then, the gauntlet that had replaced his left hand acted on its own, releasing a deep black light that spread out fast.
Ibadon’s finger fell and Exalon was sent flying.
But another surprising thing occurred, Ibadon was pushed away.
It was a very slight push, his feet barely covered ten inches, but it had happened.
"Hmm?" Ibadon tilted his head, his black hair which blew in the wind swept over his dull red eyes.
He was...confused.
The force that Ibadon had just brushed off just now was enough to wipe out any star system and all the planets within it.
This wasn’t a power that a mortal should possess at all.
Yet, Exalon stood up from the ground, his grey fur mixing with the blood gushing from the injury on his shoulder. He faltered.
This lion king was still a mortal, Ibadon thought, then why did he do that?
Then, Ibadon’s gaze settled on the black gauntlet that was now Exalon’s left forelimb.
"Dragons, kill them all, capture the Primordial Lion alive," Ibadon commanded, his expression turning serious.
His voice spread out to enter the ears of all the dragons present and those that were still making their way.
This wasn’t a threat to just the Primordial Supporters, this was a threat to all the lions here.
Even the tier 7 lions, Ibadon did not put them in his eyes.
"Enough Ibadon," Memphis spoke, standing beside Kael. Her voice was mixed with the voice of the All-King.
Everyone, including Ibadon looked down at her. This was the last line of defense the All-King had against all his foes.
Memphis.
But she was somewhat different now. Her eyes had a faint golden glow and her aura had risen to dreadful levels, the flow of time around her was exceedingly unnatural.
And her brows, she frowned them in a way no one had ever seen before. She wore the anger of the All-King on her face in the form of a deep seething frown.
"The planet may be crumbling but your powers are suppressed here, and they will still be suppressed until the final destruction of this world.
Don’t try to fool anyone, you are not as strong as you would usually be.
If you were, you would have done what you needed to do without calling the dragons."
Memphis’s words shook the hearts of the lions and it sounded like it made sense. Indeed, why would Ibadon, a literal planet destroyer, still be stalling when he could just kill them all with a snap of his finger?
"What’s your point, Primordial Lion?" Ibadon asked, amused. It was clear that he knew who was talking through Memphis.
Instead of answering, Kael pulled the tail around his neck hard enough to allow the table connection to the lion system.
He immediately sent an evacuation order to all the lions on the planet and beyond.
They still had a chance, a very slim chance.
The sound of dings resounded in the minds of Kael’s allies, even the Primordial Buffalo received a ding and some instructions on what to do.
"Hahaha, good!" Exalon burst into a fit of crazed laughter.
Ibadon frowned, he had his spirit sense spread out and he could sense the telepathic waves suddenly erupting from the minds of the various lion kings.
Even the Anti-Primordial lion kings began to communicate with the Primordial Supporters, coming to a truce to survive this moment.
The tier 7 lions also communicated with themselves.
Telepathy among powerful creatures like these was impressively efficient. Within three seconds, all the lions had created some sort of pseudo-hive mind and had communicated with themselves.
This was also another evidence that they needed to confirm that Ibadon was truly suppressed on this planet.
Three seconds should have been enough for him to eliminate most of them and seriously injure the tier 7s.
But he floated there, his expression becoming increasingly ungentlemanly.
Down below, Exalon transformed into his humanoid form. This was going to be a battle of attrition, one which he wasn’t sure he would survive.
But besides Memphis, he was the only one strong enough to give the All-King another chance.
Now in his humanoid form, he hovered inches away from the desolate land. His piercing yellow eyes stared at the caped figure.
He clenched his black metallic left fist, snorting. The amount of residual power within the gauntlet was terrifying, even to him.
*Sigh!*
Ibadon sighed.
The world wept.
The clouds parted.
*BAM!*
One moment, Ibadon was in the sky, the next moment, he was stomping Exalon’s head into a widening crater.
The whole planet rumbled, earthquakes occurred and underground volcanoes erupted.
"Mere mortals challenge the might of an immortal?
It can only be those cursed by the Law of Conquering!" Ibadon declared, his voice raining down like thunder.
This marked the start of another battle.
Multiple shockwaves spread out from the sky to the ground. All the lions rushed out, led by at least one tier 7 lion, they sped toward the incoming dragons.
Magic runes, spatial distortions, elemental attacks, spirit waves, fortune warping, they unleashed it all.
Altogether, including the Anti-Primordials, the Primordial Supporters, the tier 7s, and the very few rogues that had come along, there were about thirty thousand lions present.
And that was just the lions, the dragons, bees, and others that had descended were not counted, but those ones had all felt the tremor and new Destruction was imminent.
"TEN MILLION YEARS!"
Ibadon casually raised the back of his hand to block a rising punch from Exalon. The tyrannical energy from the gauntlet drilled into Ibadon’s system which he ignored.
"Ten million years since I saw my parents.
It has been ten million years since the death of your seventh Primordial.
It has been ten million years since I felt true inner peace.
Can’t you see? The existence of you lions tortures me!
It’s not fair!"
Ibadon pulled his leg back and kicked Exalon’s ribs.
A crater spanning hundreds of kilometres was formed after an explosion. Exalon’s body cleaved through the snow, passing the many lands and only stopping after getting to a slight curve of the planet.
When he stopped, his right ribs were broken and piercing his lungs. The battlefield and Kael were nowhere to be seen.
"No," Exalon muttered, mustering strength from a mysterious source. His leg muscles released thunderous sounds as he burst forward, demolishing the area around him and shooting straight back to the battlefield.
It took him a few seconds to cover the distance and when he arrived at the snowy area again, he witnessed something that nearly made his heart stop beating.
Ibadon was standing in front of Kael, his gloved hand holding tightly onto Memphis’s neck as she dangled like a defenseless chicken.
Ibadon’s other hand was outstretched and moving toward Kael fast. However, even with her neck still in his grasp, Memphis continued to slow down the flow of time.
