Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 554: Cosmic Annihilation
CHAPTER 554: CHAPTER 554: COSMIC ANNIHILATION
Today, blood rained from the sky. Every drop of blood sank deep into the land, drenching the world in the arrogance and anguish of the fighters.
Ibadon, holding Memphis’s neck in his hand, had flashbacks.
Those memories flashed like the scar of an ugly wound.
Although not even close to the scale, this place reminded him of the day he and Noel clashed.
That experience of that day was burned into his mind as though Noel had burned it into his mind.
Maybe.
There was a reason Ibadon had his body completely covered in this humanoid form.
His lion-dragon hybrid form could hide the scars and burns, but this human form could not hide them.
For those injuries, we’re as immortal as Noel had been.
As Ibadon witnessed the flashes and explosions from the corner of his extremely clear vision, the scene overlapped with that fateful day.
And it vexed him, it annoyed this abomination to no end.
It filled him with hatred so strong that even a perpetual frown could not express how he truly felt inside.
So he always appeared calm, not because there was no hate or desire for revenge, but because he didn’t know how to express them without destroying everything around him.
The battles currently happening around him were nowhere in scale to that war that spanned multiple galaxies.
But it was enough to draw out the disgust and hatred from the deep heart of oblivion that resided within him.
Why did he have to suffer more because of Noel?
Why did he have to keep on suffering because of the lions?
They took his parents and his childhood away from him, wasn’t that enough?
And now, he wanted their extinction in exchange for his inner peace.
Why couldn’t they give it to him?
How dare they not give it to him?
How dare these kings deny him his vengeance?
"Enough!" Ibadon thundered.
His free hand which had been moving toward the kneeling Kael suddenly paused and shot back at the speed of light.
The space cracked as he caught Exalon’s metallic black fist.
*BOOM!*
The vicinity directly exploded.
Kael’s body was flung away and blood leaked out of the corners of his lips. But his grip remained strong on the tail wrapped around his neck.
A large hole was blasted into the ground and Kael fell.
The explosive force that resulted in Exalon’s fist clashing with Ibadon’s palm allowed Memphis to squeeze her neck out of the latter’s grip.
She dashed for Kael’s falling body and caught him in a princess embrace. Instantly, ’they’ could feel the power of the anti-lion tail creeping into them.
Memphis ignored it as much as she could since it wasn’t directed at her body. She flew up, getting as far away as she could as fast as she could.
Meanwhile, no longer screaming but still gritting his sharp teeth, Kael made sure to maintain that small gap between his neck skin and the tail so that he could maintain Memphis’s Conqueror Mode Avatar.
All this happened in less than three seconds.
The land, if it could even still be called that, was gone, the shockwaves were creating deeper holes in the planet, holes that were being enough for the spectators in space to see.
At the same time, those watching beyond the planet had noticed the stormy clouds clearing away to reveal a planet riddled with large continental cracks that spread from one pole to the other.
"What’s happening down there?" Some wondered out loud.
"Is anyone else detecting that powerful rising aura?" Someone asked, the scanners of his arkship detecting a certain aura rising.
Actually, they were detecting multiple rising auras as the suppression of the planet weakened.
Down at the battle planet.
If Exalon had never demonstrated his ferociousness and just how deadly he was with the right power level, he clearly demonstrated it today.
Exalon rushed Ibadon, knowing fully well that he wasn’t a match for the abomination’s might.
Through the falling chunks of rocks and blowing cyclones, Exalon threw punch after punch, strike after strike, heart after heart.
He knew that his attacks would at most distract the currently weakened Ibadon, but that was enough.
He wasn’t trying to defeat the Regent, he was sacrificing himself to give his allies time to escape.
With that thought in his mind, Exalon poured his heart and determination into every blow he sent Ibadon’s way.
And unexpectedly, Ibadon was beginning to notice that Exalon’s punches were getting more intense.
The large lion humanoid charged through a mountain-sized rock, slamming into Ibadon like a meteor before he could chase after Kael and Memphis again.
Black cracks decorated Exalon’s body and his piercing yellow eyes were now mixed with black tears that streamed down his cheeks like cheetah tear marks.
The black tears stained his grey mustache, giving him a fiendish look.
Ibadon was annoyed.
The blows barely hurt, but the impacts were actually enough to throw him off balance slightly.
Feeling the suppression decreasing further, Ibadon made a decision.
Previously, he had refrained from using his Oblivion powers because there was no way to activate them without him unintentionally harming his dragon allies.
That was just the nature of Oblivion, it couldn’t distinguish between friends and foes, it just did what it existed to do.
So far, he had been using his physical body to tank the blows coming from a literal godly artifact.
But now, Ibadon couldn’t let Kael escape his grasp just because he wanted to hold back a little.
Ibadon was not willing to wait a few more million years to complete his revenge.
He was definitely not going to let Kael become like Noel.
No way.
Balancing himself in the sky after casually tanking an uppercut from Exalon, Ibadon looked down with a cold gaze.
He pointed his right index finger at the sky, listening to the beat of his oblivion heart.
"I will exterminate you all, even if I have to crush this universe to do it!
Cosmic Annihilation!"
Darkness descended
