Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 559: Peace? Despicable
CHAPTER 559: CHAPTER 559: PEACE? DESPICABLE
Inside the coliseum, there was an elevated platform that was reserved for Kael and his cohorts.
The white robes All-King descended into this wide platform, standing at the edge and placing his hands on the stone railing.
He was able to see the whole stage from here as well as all the lion kings who had come.
This kind of place would usually have the spectators screaming for some action or entertainment.
But the kings all sat in silence, waiting.
Kael heard the sound of his consort’s feet touching the stony ground and sighed.
On command, he made his mood better and brighter. A calming and harmless smile appeared on his face.
He took his hands off the stone railings and spread them to the side.
"Kings," He called, his deep voice loud and echoing across every corner of the coliseum, "I welcome you!"
The lion kings looked at each other, communicating with their eyes for brief moments before returning their gaze to the elevated All-King.
"A few days ago, our Primordial Supporters lost a valuable member who sacrificed his life, not only to save me, but to ensure that the Gauntlet of Jin returned into the paws of the lion race!"
Kael brought his hands down to place them back on the stone railing. Behind him, Fidel bowed his head.
As a lion prince, he should be glad that his father was dead and he could claim the title of lion king for himself.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple.
Not once had he ever challenged Exalon, even though he could have. Fidel was to Exalon what Aziza would have been to Noel.
A loyal son.
To hear if his father’s death may have brought a bit of high to some other Princes, but not to him.
"King Exalon made his last stance against our collective enemy, Ibadon.
Not only did he stand his ground despite all the pain and suffering he was burdened with. He gave that abomination a fight to remember.
King Exalon, he did not die in vain!"
To this, some lion kings smirked while others maintained their stoic expressions.
"Because of King Exalon, we may all continue on our purpose, the conquest of the universe.
But before that, scores must be settled..."
The kings nodded their heads seriously, this was a must.
So what if Ibadon had god-like powers and was supported by the entire dragon race? They will find a way, they must find a way.
If not, they will not be able to rest in peace.
"However, as we look upon the cherished memories and legacy that our beloved Exalon left behind for us, let us not forget the enemies who are responsible for his death.
It is a shame to know that even amongst us, lions still plot against lions for the sole purpose of peace!
Despicable!"
Kael was raising his voice toward the end and had to take some deep breaths and calm down.
A few more words and he would explode to rush toward the prisoner himself.
Kael then waved his hand at the coliseum stage.
"We have sinners amongst us, Kings. Heretics who once chose the other way.
It is hard to believe Noel and our ancestors bled for these ones!"
The sound of gears clicking and magic runes lighting up was heard from beneath the sandy stage.
The center of the wide field stage shifted, and dust rose into the air. A long dark line that stretched from one end to the other was formed.
This was just the beginning as the stage began to expand. The sand parted ways to show that there was an even bigger stage underneath.
The coliseum maintained its original size but the stage kept getting wider.
When the sandy stage above was finally cleared, the true stage was revealed.
The kings focused their gazes on the new metallic surfaced stage, unable to keep their killing intent from spewing out.
"They don’t look like they have suffered enough," One king muttered.
"I don’t think anyone has laid a single claw on them All the blood on them is dried up," A lion queen said.
What appeared on this new stage were tens of thousands of humanoids, forced to their knees on the metal ground with their hands tied behind their backs.
These were all the lion kings formerly associated with the Anti-Primordial coalition.
Specifically, these were the sinners who had descended to the Battle Planet to aid Ma’abu.
All of them had been given a Devolution Seed, putting them in these weak and defenseless mortal bodies.
Ma’abu himself was not here.
Only those who had accompanied him.
"Let us thank our new tier 7 members who assisted us in their capture.
Take a good look at these sinners, my kings. Do they even deserve to hold the title of kings?"
Some lions shook their heads.
"Hey, calm down, calm down!" One king had to place his hand on his friend’s shoulder to prevent the latter from charging down to kill the defenseless captives.
"That motherfucker right there, I remember him!" The friend argued but he calmed down. The other kings around were starting to look at him weirdly.
He was a fire lion so it was understandable that he had such a temper but that didn’t mean he should cause a scene.
"Each and every one of them bears the sinner mantle.
Believe me, I would love to distribute them all to you true kings so that you could rip them to pieces, but that would be a waste of time and resources.
There are still many more sinners at large who need to feel the glory of conquest. Reserve your wrath and energy for them.
As for these kings? We shall entertain ourselves a little bit..."
"What about Ma’abu?!" Someone shouted from the seats.
Kael paused, having been interrupted.
He calmly looked down at the person who had spoken.
"Hmm,"
Kael did not need to say or do anything, the kings sent a message, barraging that person with death threats telepathically.
The combined auras from the surrounding kings chased the audacious lion to shrink his head inward and bow his head.
Kael did not take satisfaction in the response they gave him, it didn’t change the fact that he had been interrupted.
His whole flow was thrown off.
Mentally, he had already taken note of that particular lion king’s face and had decided to send him on some really dangerous missions in the near future.
"Ma’abu has been kept in my personal custody, you wish to speak with him? talk to me," Kael said.
Of course, this was a warning for them all to back off. What Kael planned on doing with Ma’abu was his business.
After all, he had been on the direct receiving end of Ma’abu’s scheme, it was only right that he decided what he did with him.
"Ah yes, I was talking about what we will do with these scoundrels.
They will be used to send a message.
Did everyone bring an info orb as I asked?"
The lion kings affirmed, taking out their info orbs from wherever they had kept them.
Before coming, Kael had made an announcement in the system and requested that all who were coming to the coliseum bring at least one info orb.
As expected, some of them brought more than one, curious as to what Kael wanted to do.
Kael, watching the various light reflections coming from the surface of the info orbs.
"Good.
Today!
We shall perform an act I call terrorism propaganda!
It may or may not be effective, but I am sure it will soothe my resentful heart, and I hope it soothes yours."
Kael then turned his head below to look at those lion kings closest to the stage.
"Gabby?" Kael called.
The four-armed Gabby who stood at the bottom nodded his head and immediately pressed a rune button on the remote he was holding.
*WHOOSH!*
Those grains of sand that had shifted away a few moments ago suddenly began to rise from the edges of the stage.
If any of them looked closely, they would see that each grain of sand was inscribed with a magic rune.
Not just any magic runes though. They were the Sharpen Rune, Levitation Rune, and Pain Rune.
Each grain of sand floated as a separate entity, not clogging with itself to not block the vision of the lion kings.
The Magus lions among the spectators were amazed and their curiosity heightened.
What is going to happen now?
"Record the suffering you are about to witness," Kael raised his voice, "We shall spread the news, we shall send a message to the whole universe.
Peace comes at a cost!
Let all those who are prepared to fight for peace be ready to pay the price!
Begin!"
Kael ordered.
Fidel and the consorts leaned forward to see what was going to happen.
The kings leaned forward.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
That scream was like music to Kael’s ears. It was so divine that he felt the urge to actually get a cold blanket and sleep peacefully for a few hours.
The cry of agony was so satisfying, Kael closed his eyes to relish in the moment.
