CHAPTER 565: CHAPTER 565: THE BLIND ALLIANCE

Kael’s index finger dug at Ma’abu’s eye.

Seeing the incoming finger, Ma’abu reacted instinctively by closing his eyes.

"Wait...Aaaaa!..." Ma’abu exclaimed as Kael’s sharp fingers tore through the flesh of his eyelids, separating the two flaps and touching upon the eyeball itself.

With a strong stabbing motion, Kael drove his finger into Ma’abu’s eye socket. Kael was careful not to dig it all the way.

Just enough to cause Ma’abu serious pain and discomfort.

Amidst the screams, Kael removed his finger, digging out the eyeball in the process.

Tears and blood splashed into the air. The eyeball did not come out immediately, it was held back by fleshy strings that were attached to the back of the eyeball.

The same strings that connected the eye to the brain.

Kael was ruthless, instantly pulling out again and viciously cutting the eye away.

Ma’abu roared, wanting to claw at his face or push Kael away, anything to make the pain stop.

But one of his hands was paralysed and the other was dislocated.

"My carelessness played a part in Exalon’s death," Kael said calmly, letting go of Ma’abu’s hair.

Ma’abu, lacking strength and bearing, fell down, planting his face first into the ground.

"My carelessness is the reason why you were able to succeed.

It brings me peace to know that the reason why so many bad things happened is because of me.

At least, I know how to fix it.

Actually, it has already been fixed," Kael said.

He kicked Ma’abu’s side, breaking the ribs and flipping the latter over.

Ma’abu gritted, facing the sky with his bloody mouth.

Although he was in pain, he still paid attention to what Kael said and refused the notion by default.

How could he accept that the only reason he got so close to winning Kael was because he was careless?

Wasn’t that an insult to his pride and capabilities?

Ma’abu was definitely among the top when it came to plotting schemes and resources.

"Sour loser, *cough*" Ma’abu coughed up blood.

Kael nodded, "Did no one ever tell you that sour losers always win? Even when they lose, they still win.

You may not think you succeeded but you did, Ma’abu.

You killed me, you killed Kael..."

Kael looked to the sky, a knowing smile forming on his face. He looked like a crazy person who had been sedated and was slowly coming back to his senses.

"The old me has passed away, behold, the All-King I have become," Kael declared, coming to terms with the changes in him.

All that had happened on that day, on that Battle Planet. All the losses he experienced, formed a deep cut.

He stepped over Ma’abu so that Ma’abu’s body would be positioned between his legs. Kael crouched, blocking the sun rays from touching Ma’abu’s face.

Ma’abu inhaled and exhaled. Kael had a strong fruit-like scent coming from his body, like a perfume used by royals. It was just Kael’s natural scent though.

Ma’abu got to perceive it well now that there was no power blocking its emission.

"Kill me!" Ma’abu mouthed.

Kael looked down. He didn’t feel disgusted by what he saw, he just hated Ma’abu.

The hate he had for Ma’abu was far greater than what he had for Ibadon. It was a hate so strong that Kael would not be satisfied if he just killed Ma’abu just like that.

Death was also a means of escape for someone like Ma’abu, how could he let him go like that without any suffering?

*BAM*

Kael’s fist struck downward, blowing Ma’abu’s face to the left.

*BAM!*

Another strike, Ma’abu’s loose teeth flew out.

*BAM!*

Ma’abu’s nose was broken by the next strike and blood had painted more than half of his face.

Kael continued raining punches, gritting his teeth hard as he felt his knuckles connecting with the face of his foe.

Once again, Kael bullied.

He vented out everything that he felt. Kael could not cry even though he felt sad, his ego wouldn’t let him.

But it wouldn’t change the fact that he actually felt sad, that was a fact.

Exalon’s death saddened him a little bit.

It truly did.

But he couldn’t cry, he wouldn’t.

But he also had to vent it out.

Every punch he threw at Ma’abu’s face made the weight on his chest feel lighter. Kael was starting to feel that he could breathe easily.

Alas, Ma’abu on the other hand was starting to have trouble breaking.

He couldn’t even voice out any complaint because Kael had crushed his tongue with his broken teeth and his throat was sore.

"Hehehe..." Kael chuckled, pulling back his bloody fists.

The others could see that Kael was also hurt. His knuckles had scars and Ma’abu’s blood was mixed with his own.

His skin would crack and tear when he stuck the bony parts of Ma’abu’s face.

Somehow, the pain that Kael felt when inflicting harm on others brought him a sense of relief and clarity.

"Hahahaha! Hahahahahaha!!!..."

Kael laughed uncontrollably, enjoying the moment with a full heart. His vision grew unfocused, he was no longer seeing Ma’abu’s face, just a bloody head to vent it all out on.

The lion kings and Memphis watched with worried faces. Most have not known Kael for long but from what they have heard from others and the long chats of Exalon in the chat groups, Kael was described in a certain kind of way.

The Kael they were seeing was somewhat different from what they expected.

"We’ve never had a crazy Primordial before," One of the lion kings said to his colleague through telepathy as he watched Ma’abu receive the beating of his life.

"We’ve had Purgers, a betrayer, a twisted peace advocate, the first slave master, and more.

An insane one would be a first," Another lion king responded.

"Perhaps a crazy Primordial Lion is what we need.

The others failed even though they did what they should have done.

Maybe if the All-King strays away from the script the universe has written for him, we can actually achieve the Perfect Conquest,"

The space lion king shook his head, "It still wouldn’t be easy.

Ma’abu is just one of the enemies that has been taken care of. Many more await us ahead."

"..."

They didn’t say anything again.

As tier 7 lions, they were more aware of the significant threats that hide in the shadows of the universe.

This time, Ibadon had been suppressed by the latent power of the Gauntlet and had been blocked by the late Exalon.

Next time, they might not be so lucky.

Next time...there might not be a next time.

Suddenly, Kael’s dull eyes lit up with golden light.

He was human, but with a single mental command, all the power that was suppressed within him burst out with full force.

Two lion ears formed on Kael’s head and his lion tail grew back. His body stretched, his muscles filling up and becoming curvier while his bones turned to a metallic gold and elongated.

Kael threw one more punch that could have turned Ma’abu’s head to red mush. Luckily for Ma’abu, Kael diverted his hand at the last second and his fist hit the concrete ground next to Ma’abu’s head.

The power of that blow was so concentrated, a clean deep hole that stretched for miles was formed with the roof of the apartment complex as its starting point.

Kael’s laughter died down and his smile faded away.

It was complete.

Kael closed his eyes, feeling the progress he had made once again.

He had etched himself closer and closer to fully embodying the Law of Conquering.

All he had to do was create clarity in his mind, create space for the embodiment to continue.

He was a little stronger now.

"This is no longer about you," Kael said as he got up.

He walked away, leaving Ma’abu closer to death’s door than he had ever been.

Kael waved his hand and his white robe appeared and covered him once again.

Ma’abu was somewhat happy that the beating had ended and Kael had gotten what he wanted.

"You think this is the end? Do you think I didn’t make preparations just in case I fell into your claws?" Ma’abu said, breathing heavily.

Each breath was followed by a stinging pain that reminded him that his right lung was being pierced by one of his broken ribs.

"You will fall, Kael! The All-King will fall! The lion race will know peace.

It may not be now but future generations will thank me for what I have done!"

Ma’abu proclaimed with all his might and vigor.

He looked like a dying messiah, sacrificing himself and accepting death for the sake of the lion race.

"Your preparations?" Kael asked nonchalantly, "Do you mean your little alliance with those creatures?

The troublesome tigers, the endangered Phoenixes, the mysterious turtles, and the creation Dragons.

I know enough about them. Your Anti-Primordial lion kings were hard to crack but with a little ’persuasion’ they talked," Kael said.

He put his hands behind his back and came to the edge of the apartment complex, overlooking the city from a bird’s-eye view.

Ma’abu didn’t say anything, after all, he was just bluffing. Only he knew the great plans he had.

He had trust issues and had never told the deepest details of his schemes to anyone else, not even the other leaders.

So right now, they’ll just have to go back to doing their own thing or form an alliance on their own that would exclude the lions.

"What a coincidence," Kael muttered, remembering the symbolic four creatures that existed in eastern cultures.

It was the same exact four creatures that had allied together right now.

"They shall be dealt with, especially the tigers. I may end up finishing what Noel started," Kael said for everyone to hear.

"But that’s none of your business," He turned around to look at Ma’abu. His eyes glowed with the faint flickers of soul flame.
