CHAPTER 568: CHAPTER 568: ONCE A WHORE

The fate Ma’abu experienced was what Kael had envisioned for him.

A life of complete helplessness and endless suffering. Hell didn’t have to be a place he sent people, it could be a state of being.

Sitting in the psychiatric ward, strapped to a wheelchair all day long, Ma’abu suffered internally.

After a month, Ma’abu had lost the will to scream in pain. He only let out occasional groans as saliva dropped from his mouth.

His one remaining eye would constantly gaze at the white ceiling, lost in the pain, counting how many times the wave of heat would spike and fall in a day.

He never really got to complete the count, his mind was too fractured to do basic number calculations.

Just a few days ago, he was a vibrant and healthy lion king who could cause serious trouble for the All-King, now, he was nothing but a crippled man with severe mental disorders.

At least, that’s the conclusion the human doctors have come to.

There was nothing they could do, Ma’abu would have to reside in a government-funded psychiatric hospital for the rest of his life.

In the meantime, no one had come to claim him as a relative and no one could find any records or history of him across the globe.

For a one-day global sensation, Ma’abu was soon forgotten. The only ones who remembered Ma’abu now were Katari who still recorded his predicament and the nurses whose job was to force-feed him every day.

Every day that the nurses fed Ma’abu, they extended his life and indirectly prolonged his suffering.

This was hell.

"Isabel isn’t doing badly," Kael stated as he hovered over a city with Ozia following him closely.

The two had decided to go for a fly around the planet before they went back to heaven.

They had been here for a month, spending a relaxing time among the humans.

Memphis had gone back since the first day to prepare Kael’s consorts for the Consort Trial.

She, Fidel, and one lion king had left, leaving Kael behind with ten lion kings as Kael’s protection.

Some lion lords and other vassal subordinates of Kael were also positioned around the planet, acting as wardens.

Kael had also spent his time here reflecting in himsand his decisions. It was an opportunity to create long-term plans and prepare for variables.

One month to make a plan was more than enough for Kael and he mostly spent the time preparing countermeasures in case some plans did not work which took a lot of brain power and preparation.

Kael was also monitoring the lion system.

The number of lions had grown exponentially but the number of lion kings had also increased significantly.

The number of lions kings knew the lion system was now more than two hundred thousand.

A month ago, it was just more than fifty thousand.

The growth was moderate but also expected.

The lion kings had a full list with more than a million kings listed. They were like a loaded gun that had finally been aimed properly.

They went after their targets with nothing but mysterious rewards promised by the system on their mind.

And the more lion kings were joining, the more referral missions were being sent to other lion kings.

Those that rejected the referral requests were naturally flagged as potential sinners and we’re out under immediate scrutiny.

This small force was growing fast.

What made them so deadly was the composition of their forces. Nearly half of the members from the former String of Fate Coalition had joined the Primordial Supporters.

That meant that a significant amount of luck that used to go toward stabilizing the whole civilization was going toward the Primordial Lion and his lackeys.

No wonder they could barely survive an encounter with that abomination where others would usually perish, they were covered by the power of fate.

Then there were the tier 7 lion kings who had joined recently who just boosted the morale of the other kings and made them feel as if they had the right to offend anyone they wanted.

Every day, celebratory news of sinners being defeated and slain graced the chat forums.

This brought Kael no sense of joy as he was still nowhere near the desired scale he needed.

He had to make sure that the lions were fully under one banner before he turned his gaze toward the other enemies.

The bees, the dragons, the phoenix, the tigers, the horses.

Kael would not forget them.

Even as he was on Planet Kareem, he had not been idle.

Some lions have been sent out to scout the galaxies inhabited by the Horse Federation and the phoenix.

News had also reached him from Marcus and Ralph that Constantyne and the other captive tigers had been let go.

Tracker runes that Kael could control were already on them.

This release was not random as the tigers were released at a galaxy that had been known to recently have tiger activities.

Kael was hoping for Constantyne and his colleagues to infiltrate the emerging finger faction on his behalf so that he could locate the gathering point of those troublemakers.

And once he found out where they were emerging from...

"She’s a bartender in a rural town. A place where people rarely ask questions about origins.

She’s been leaving rather peacefully there," Ozia said.

He had gone to check on Isabel, his former lover, to see how she was doing.

Ozia didn’t know whether to feel disappointed or happy that Isabel was actually doing fine and not in any difficult situation.

Just like Ma’abu, she was an unwilling prisoner on this planet.

"Has she begun any relationship with any other man?" Kael asked, looking at his son as they flew casually through the clouds.

Ozia sighed, his eyes turning cold, "Yes, just one though," He said.

"Did you expect her to stay celibate to repent and ask for your forgiveness?" Kael asked.

Ozia shook his head, "That would have just satiated my ego, not my hate. A whore will always be a whore.

I shouldn’t have expected much from a fox," Ozia said with a budding racist disdain.

"Indeed," Kael nodded in agreement.

"So," Kael continued, "Why was the real reason you wanted to come along? Your presence was not needed here,"

Hearing the question, Ozia slowed down a bit, an uneasy expression on his face.

"It’s about the Gauntlet,"
