CHAPTER 571: CHAPTER 571: ORIGINAL HEAVEN

Leonine Heaven.

A Heavenly Gate opened up close to the Massive Black Pyramid.

Kael, Ozia, and ten tier 7 lion kings walked out of this portal.

No one was physically present to welcome them, but many lion kings had already sensed their presence.

In Ozia’s hand was the Gauntlet. He held it firmly to his chest as he thought of his new status as a legitimate lion king.

The ten lion kings behind also looked at Ozia with confusion and mixed feelings. Seeing the legendary godly artifact in Ozia’s hands was like a blow to their face.

Of all the people Kael could have chosen to wield it, he had chosen his son.

Kael himself remained silent, offering no explanation to anyone.

If they were dissatisfied, they didn’t dare to voice it.

"I want ten of you to begin a private mission, look into the Original Heavenly Realm.

Precisely, the Original Heavenly Prison," Kael spoke to the ten lion kings.

They looked at themselves then one of them stepped forward, he was a member of the mysterious Shadow Tyranny Coalition.

"Our coalition has already been investigating them for a long time.

That likely is where Ma’abu got the anti-lion tail.

That place is known to be home to rare creatures and aliens that have been forgotten by the universe."

"I know, I didn’t expect that the most important heaven to the universe would be so accessible to everyone," Kael said.

"We’ll send scouts as soon as possible, All-King," The lion king said.

Kael nodded.

After doing some routine checks in the massive black pyramid, Kael was preparing for the Consort Trial announcement.

It was to happen today.

But before anything happened, he had received a message from Alora, asking that he see her in private.

When Kael read the golden words on his chat system, he raised his eyebrows.

He could almost guess the reason why Alora was asking for this but he wasn’t completely sure.

Ever since he had gotten Alora as his consort, he had been way too busy. So many things had happened and he had not even had time to talk in depth with her.

To someone else, it would look like Kael had just turned Alora into his consort so that he could keep her at home.

That wasn’t the case but it may look like it.

And now, he was suddenly asking her to participate in the Consort Trial, wasn’t it unfair?

They were supposed to build a powerful entity out of each other together, but why was it then looking like Kael had sidelined her?

Cold and arrogant or not, Alora was still a female. Even if she didn’t want to, she would compare Kael’s attention to his other consorts with hers.

Almost all the consorts should have been delivered of the pregnancies they had before the beginning of the training.

right now, all except Alora in Kael’s inner circle of consorts had children.

"I’ll see her now," Kael muttered and left to find Alora.

////

Alora sat in silence in the room designated to her.

Her white hair was styled to the side and her elbows were placed on her knees as she propped up her head by placing her chin on her palm.

The room was cold, a byproduct of her presence and her current state of mind.

Her aura was still tier 5 but it was nearing the limit. It was so close.

The Alora of now was very much different from how she was one month ago.

One week under Memphis’s guidance and in a time bubble had accelerated her growth.

She was stronger, probably among the strongest when it came to tier 5. And with the extra Conquering Essence pool she was privileged to have as Kael’s consorts, she could naturally survive against a tier 6.

However it wasn’t enough, she would have preferred it if she were able to evolve to tier 6 in the past month.

Well, technically, she was now close to her fifties because of the time bubble.

Unfortunately, time alone could not make up for the factors that contributed to evolution.

Just because Kael and Katari had been able to do it doesn’t mean that others can.

The time with Memphis had humbled Alora somewhat.

Not only had she been exposed to tier 7 lions like Memphis who would come over once in a while to check what was going on, she had also sparred and spent more time with the consorts.

Alora now knew that besides Chloe, every other lioness under Kael was a literal monster.

Even Nalii and Priya who were supposed to be the calmest were very frightening when they got serious.

Alora had learned that Nalii had once commanded an arkship to fight against another arkship piloted by a dragon commander.

And she had been just tier 4 at that time.

Alora got a feeling of the power dynamics within Kael’s pride.

There was no set hierarchy, the consorts all saw themselves as equals with Kael being the leader.

No one was trying to assume seniority and this was a relief for Alora.

The scariest one among them was the one they called Nbayé.

The best way Alora could describe Nbayé was that she was a dangerously intelligent individual.

She had never seen Nbayé surprised over anything, not once. She looked like everything was always going to be within her expectations.

Added to the fact that as a Magus, her powers relied heavily on her intelligence and her mental capabilities, Alora guessed that Nbayé was very strong and probably had a lot of trump cards hidden away.

Thankfully, Nbayé did not seem to be the type that indulged in pointless power play.

Of all of them, Nbayé was the one who advanced the most after the training.

Although she was still not at tier 6, Nbayé had already begun to touch upon the concepts of the warp effect.

Alora was just behind her in terms of progress.

Besides them, all the other consorts had either evolved or improved their strengths, eager for the challenge Kael was about to give them.

For some consorts, they saw this consort Trial not as a test, but as an opportunity to hone their abilities and improve their strengths.

Only an idiot would see it as punishment.

"Alora," Kael’s deep voice broke Alora out of her deep thoughts.

She looked up, her icy blue eyes gazing upon the tall figure of the All-King.

’When did he arrive?’ Alora wondered.
