CHAPTER 578: CHAPTER 578: TRIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
[Requirements to join the Consort Trial:
. You must be a lioness.
. You must be tier 4 and above.
. Minimum biological age is 20.
. You must not or should have never been a consort or a Lion Queen.
Consort Trial Description:
For years, the Lion Race has sought to conquer the universe, but it has failed repeatedly.
In this era, we have taken a step forward and begun to make progress.
We must unite three thousand races as vassals under the authority of the lion kings.
Each save is to represent one of the three thousand pillar laws of the universe and is essential to the stability and dominion of the lion civilization.
To do this, we must first locate and conquer their Primordials that are affiliated with these laws.
The All-King specifically requires the presence of the Primordials, alive if possible.
Mission Objective: Assist in the collection of these Primordials in any way possible.
Note: You can show your intent and assist in whatever way you see fit, you shall be judged on how helpful your assistance was in mission points and rankings.
If you proved to be of more help to the All-King, then you will have the privilege of challenging one of the consorts to take their slots.
Note 2: Your assistance must not in any way hinder the motives of the All-King, there will be serious consequences.
Note 3: If your assistance is significant but not enough to make it into the All-King’s consort circle, then you shall be betrothed to a worthy pride leader directly by the All-King himself.
Primordials Subjugated: 4/3000
List of Laws: Death, Hunting, Fire, Strength...
Note 3: Do not bother with Primordials of the same law. Only one is needed for now.
Good luck, may the All-King be with you.]
Everyone had seen the announcement as they had been waiting for it for some time.
The exact second was a surprise but its eventuality was known.
The first part of the announcement instantly caused uproar.
The consort trial had serious requirements that looked simple but were very necessary.
They had to be lionesses.
This sounded like an obvious thing, but it may have flown over the heads of some individuals.
Naturally, Kael was only interested in females. But who was to say that other strange males were not interested in him?
In fact, Kael had heard that some lions loved him to the extreme that they would literally turn gay for him.
That was as flattering as it was scary.
Kael was not interested in tying dicks with anyone, not now, not ever.
The thought warranted a shudder and a gold glance from Kael where he was.
He had to be careful.
The second requirement was easy to understand. The All-King didn’t want to waste his time with those who were too weak so he had a base requirement for tier 4.
Tier 4 was just right, not too low to be considered weak, not too high to be ignorant of potential.
The remaining two requirements concerned potential and experience as well.
Kael didn’t want any of his consorts to have belonged to a pride leader before joining him.
Lion Queens did not need to be explained. The average Lion Queen had three male consorts.
One could imagine a lion Queen giving up her status to be Kael’s consort. Or a consort of another lion abandoning her pride for a chance to be with Kael.
It was like a slut or whore changing her ways and turning over a new leaf just because she met a high-value man.
Any competent ruler knew that he could get all the women he wanted but he should never touch what belonged to his subordinates.
Kael would be uncomfortable if he accepted a consort who left a king or a prince for him. That was no different from giving others a valid reason to turn their backs on him.
Not that it would matter after a certain point, but still, if it wasn’t necessary, then it’s best be let it be.
Either way, Kael would try to stay away from used products as much as possible.
Those who met all these requirements were a lot though.
After all, many lionesses had grown up in their clans, waiting to be sent off to be the consort of one pride leader or the other.
The lion queens and those consorts who had secretly been planning on leaving their prides were downcast. Gone was their opportunity to elevate their status and gain access to more resources.
Then came the actual contents of the announcement, the description of the trial.
The mission objective shocked most of them. What kind of mission was this?
The universe was so vast that it was hard to find even an immortal who could say they had fully explored every corner.
It would be incredibly hard to find certain Primordials, but that was what the All-King wanted for this Consort Trial.
What was even more outrageous was that he specifically required one Primordial per law.
That is, there was no point in getting another Primordial affiliated with the law of Death or Hunting as they had already been collected.
That raised the difficulty to a whole other level as the participants would have to be extremely precise in their hunting.
Thankfully, Kael was not asking them to actually catch or defeat the Primordials. He only requested that they ’assisted’ in whatever way they could.
These forms of assistance could come in various ways. The participants could directly fight and catch these Primordials if they could, or they could provide information on their whereabouts, or rally others to help in the capture of the Primordial.
The forms of assistance they could provide were endless.
And depending on how helpful that assistance was in subjugating a Primordial, it would reflect as mission points and boost their rankings.
Almost every lioness who could participate had their fierce eyes lingering on the second part of the first Note.
They could challenge the consorts for their slots. That just made the appeal of these missions look more vibrant.
Of course, they could still be betrothed to powerful pride leaders if they didn’t do well enough but none of them were thinking about that.
Wei herself didn’t even consider anything else and was already thinking of where she would go to catch her first Primordial.
