Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 579: Shadow Tyranny
CHAPTER 579: CHAPTER 579: SHADOW TYRANNY
The other side notes did not go over the heads of the lionesses though, they just chose to ignore them for the time being.
Yes, they could try their best and settle for less. Even if they didn’t get to be the All-King’s consort, they could still be betrothed to a worthy pride leader as it was implied in the announcement.
It was assumed that by ’Worthy Pride Leaders’, Kael was referring to the princes directly under him or powerful lion kings.
Yes, even though they couldn’t get Kael, those tier 7 lion kings were still very much available.
They hoped that that was what the All-King meant by worthy Pride Leaders.
It was a reasonable guess. The All-King would not be the only one watching the participants of this Consort Trial, other Lion Kings were watching as well.
It was inevitable that they might take a fancy to one or two lionesses participating in the trial.
Kael could then use the betrothals as a hidden means to strengthen relationships amongst clans and unite the lions better.
Divide and conquer only worked to a certain degree, Kael needed the cooperation of every lion for their goals to be met.
Four out of three thousand Primordials had been found.
Even though it looked like there was room for many participants to assist, it was not the case.
Finding a Primordial on their own was not an easy feat. Then again, Kael was the first Primordial Lion to actively seek out these Primordials to turn them into vassals.
No one had ever tried what he wanted to do so no one actually knew if there was a chance of success.
It was a difficult task, but that was not Kael’s problem for the time being.
He had simply outsourced the finding of these Primordials to the lionesses who wanted something of a better life for themselves.
There was no definite time for the Trial. It would end once that last Primordial of the three thousand laws was found.
Why three thousand? That’s because there were exactly three thousand laws that made up the very existence of the universe.
Kael knew this because of the Creature Encyclopedia he had gotten from the Monkey Ruins.
He also knew that some creatures shared Laws with other creatures. Just like how the lions and horses shared the Law of Conquering.
Kael already had Marcus, Ralph, and the others, there was no need to add any more, it would be redundant.
So while Kael temporarily took his mind off locating these remaining Primordials, he could focus his full attention on what he had been wanting to do.
The completion of the Great Purification.
When he looked to the sky and saw the multicolored tapestry of the void, he would be reminded of Silax’s words.
Heaven was not meant to be multicolored.
There were too many powers conflicting with each other in Leonine Heaven.
One look at the sky and one who knew the details would be able to see some things. Although the sky and void were multicolored, the color purple appeared a lot.
It wasn’t overshadowing other colors, but it was the most present among all of them.
The color purple just happened to be linked to the Law of Destruction.
The Law of Destruction, unfortunately, was linked to the Destruction Dragons.
If there was so much purple in Leonine Heaven, the Empress Elizabeth had her fingers in it.
Pagast was a very good case. If not for Kael having accidentally found out about him, he would have been clueless as to where to start.
Foreigners were not the only ones tainting the integrity of the lions and their civilization, the sinners and traitors were also doing so.
Now that Kael had cleared up his schedule a bit, he wanted to purify heaven ruthlessly before focusing on the enemies outside.
Following the next few months, different things occurred in heaven.
The Great Purification shocked the hearts of the neutral lions.
The All-King wasn’t playing around.
He had personally led hundreds of thousands of lion kings in their arkships to raid the clans of all the lion kings close to them.
Kael’s strategy was neat, he knew that he couldn’t challenge and force all the lions to join him at the same time, even if he had those tier 7 lions with him.
Instead, he would single out a few lion kings and lead a small army of lion kings for some round of bullying.
Kael didn’t care if the methods were unscrupulous, as long as they were effective.
The other tier 7 lion kings did the same thing.
The neutral lion kings or sinners who would have fought back had no chance of winning after being jumped by a small army of kings.
The success rate was more than ninety percent.
Also, the aggressive expansion of the Primordial Supporters caused many Lion Kings to join them on their own accord.
The tales of the features of the Lion System were spreading. They talked about how the lion system made it easier for them to manage their vassals and prides.
The mapping system, the chat features, the missions, and the exchange function, all appealed to the lions who immediately sought to bring their friends in with the referral mission.
After a few months, the majority of the lions who ended up joining the lion system had done so through referrals.
It turned out that the reason Kael’s lion System had not received more link kings in the past was that he had not been aggressive enough.
Or perhaps, the numbers were rising exponentially.
One lion king could refer his whole clan and two or more Lion Kings. Those Lion kings could do the same for their clans and their friends.
And so it would continue rising as long as there was nothing to hinder the growth.
As for the sinners and traitors, they were being narrowed down and choked out.
The live images of the execution of those Anti-Primordial lion kings had circulated very well.
Many of those sinners and traitors could not turn themselves in.
For one, Kael was very thorough with the cleanup. He wanted the sinners and traitors dead, utterly.
Even if they turned themselves in, he would still kill them, only that their deaths would be quicker and less painful than the others.
Those who were acting as spies for the likes of the dragons, bees, horses, and other backwater civilizations, their cases were different cases.
For example, those who were acting as spies for Empress Elizabeth, even if they wanted to surrender and collect a merciful execution, it wasn’t possible.
The Destruction in their bodies would destroy him first before that happened.
The sound of loud explosions had echoed from different corners of heaven for a while now.
Still, Kael didn’t slow down.
Within six months Kael had collected more than three million lion kings.
This was the greatest growth Kael had ever seen. So many powerhouses under his influence, all at once.
The lion system was much more lively than before.
Kael had to expand the public forums to one thousand.
The exchange platform was also very active these days.
Lions and lionesses were trading materials and items from different places. The trading platform had become a default medium for the lions to perform their trading.
This development had unintentional consequences though.
The Sovereign Merchant Coalition, the faction that had been responsible for a lot of trades in the lion civilization was rendered useless with the rise of the All-King’s exchange platform.
The Shadow Tyranny Coalition, a faction known for its secrecy and preference to rule the world from the shadows, had buckled to Kael’s side under zero pressure.
However, it wasn’t because Kael had shown them he was very powerful or something like that.
It was because their vision and Kael’s vision aligned very well.
They wanted to control the strings of the universe in stealth mode. Kael wanted to do the same thing, only that he couldn’t give a shit about stealth mode or not.
The Shadow Tyranny Coalition had no desire for peace, something that Kael found interesting.
He had found out that the Shadow Tyranny Coalition might have been responsible for a lot of unsolved mysteries and conflicts that happened in other civilizations.
Their greatest work was with the horses. Before the horses discovered the monkeys’ ruins due to Memphis’s mistake, the Shadow Tyranny had orchestrated their stagnation.
One regime downfall after another, the Shadow Tyranny Coalition had done it all, keeping the other creatures inferior to the lions as much as possible.
It was literally in their name. Shadow, meaning secretive. Tyranny, meaning brutal control and suppression of others.
Their members were not that many, about nine hundred thousand or more Lion Kings were registered as their members.
With the addition of the Shadow Coalition members, Kael’s control over heaven solidified to an insane level.
A year after the start of the Consort Trial, the Sovereign Merchant Coalition could not fake it anymore. Kael had taken away their sense of purpose.
Although they didn’t dare to offend Kael now that he was amassing so much power, they still had to protest.
It was either that Kael relinquished trading rights to them or that he found a new purpose for them to work on.
It sounded audacious given the current state of affairs but they had to if not they wouldn’t be able to rest well.
Fortunately for them, as at the time they had crawled to Kael with their protests, he had received news that another Primordial had been found and was in a very good mood.
