CHAPTER 22 - 22: A NEW HOME 1

The two man looked at Vice

As Vice was about to make move he got hit by a blue beam that froze him in place

"You don't need to use your skill on an F-Rank monster? when we can just kill it" one man spoke as he walked toward Vice this made him nervous

"No we call this in" the other spoke stopping his partner from killing Vice this gave him felt a sense of relief

"Why its just an F-Rank monster the Association won't care" the first man spoke his words made Vice nervous again

"Max just think, the are only two way for a monster to leave a dungeon and what are they?" The second man spoke

Max rolled his eyes "the first is they are taken out of the dungeon by a hunter the second is by a dungeon break when monsters flood out the dungeon so what you point?"

"Sigh" The man looked down when he saw Max wasn't getting the point even Vice was concerned for him

"Max look at me the is no hunter here and the is no monster flood the rat came out of the dungeon alone that has never happened now call this in" the man spoke in stern voice

"Ok old man Yule" Max pressed his wrist watch then a holographic screen appear.

'How bad is my luck exactly' Vice thought as he looked at Yule who was holding him in place with his time based ability.

'He's only C-Rank hunter so the skill will only last for 3 minutes i need to escape before the Association get involved. Donald was always low on mana when he used time freeze so the moment the skill deactivate i bolt' he thought hoping that time would move faster.

"What did they say" Yule spoke when saw Max was done with the call.

"You were right old man, they say we should bring it in now" Max smiled

"What about the dungeon who's going to guard it?" Yule looked at the dungeon

Max his shrugged shoulders as a response

"Did it sound urgent?" Yule stroked his short beard

"No they just said lets bring him so they can check if its anything potentially dangerous" Max turned to look at the city

"I doubt anyone will enter the dungeon while we are not here" Yule picked up Vice and walked the city

"Max my skill is about to time out how about you tame it" Yole made Vice feel uneasy

'What he's a tamer? no tamers cant tame humans but im not human will it work' Vice now looked at Max with caution.

"No old man I can't waste my tamer slot on a rat" Max replied

Vice was relieved and insulted by Max response

"Then if you won't tame it then what are we supposed to do to keep it check?" Yule spoke as he stroked his beard

"Let me summon my beast if it doesn't behave we'll kill it and take it the Association" Max summoned a grey wolf

'Is that a D-Rank ember wolf?' Emberwolves can only be identified when they transform so Vice just assumed it was an ember wolf.

"Ok old man put it down" Max spoke as his wolf walked close to Vice who was now on the ground.

'Finally that skill wore off now how to deal with this' he looked the wolf in front of him.

"Ok little guy lets go that way do you get it that way" Max spoke in condescending tone as he pointing to the city that was in sight.

'I don't mind playing along Max' Vice narrow his eyes then walked to Max and pointed to his wrist watch

"You want this little guy you want this little guy" Max spoke as he took off his wrist watch then dangled it in front of Vice, who was nodding like a toddler.

"Don't give it your watch" Yule spoke as watched the seen unfold

"Don't worry old man this guy is extremely obedient" Max naively gave Vice his watch

Vice took the watch and put it on his neck when was done he walked to the city.

"You see he's an obedient guy" Max spoke as he pointed to Vice but the old man didn't seem convinced but said nothing as the walked to the city.

Vice appreciated how Max naively trusted him as he ran forwad he could see the wolf was always close so he did nothing that would make it attack him.

"I wounder how much I can take from these guys" Vice thought as he ran back to Max this time he pointed to Max's pouch that hung on his waist testing how far his luck would take him.

"Sorry little guy but I can't give you this" as Max spoke for a moment Vice wanted to take the pouch by force but he remembered the strength difference between them.

Now he turned and looked at the old man and pointed to his pouch

"Look he wants your pouch old man" Vice hearing this he nodded his head like a toddler to Max's words

"Im not give that ugly thing my pouch" Yule sneered at Vice

"What did you say wrinkled faced motherfucker!" Vice shoot back at Yule as he looked the his wrinkled face but they could understand him.

"Old man don't be like that the little guy is going to die just give him your pouch so he can enjoy his last moments" Max stood in front of Yule pleading

'How naive is this guy? to say something like that so if i begged him again he'll give me his pouch' Vice thought as he looked at Max who seemed to be in his early twenties.

"Why didn't you give it yours when it asked for it?" Yule shoot back at Max

"Because my pouch has explosion scrolls so if he opens it by mistake he'll die" as Max spoke Vice was now extremely interested in his pouch.

"How is it going to activate an explosion scroll?" Yule spoke unknowingly helping Vice

"I guess you right" Max untied the pouch from his waist and gave it to Vice.

Vice had a smile on his face when he held the pouch but then he looked to the Yule for his pouch.

"You see he wanted your pouch more than mine" Max was an impressive assistance

"Tsk" Yule threw the pouch to the ground, Vice picked up the pouch

Vice was satisfaction by today prospects

"I gave it to that thing now lets leave these woods" Yule spoke all they needed to do was go past a few tree's and they be in the city.

Vice wanted to go to the city and enjoy the city life but he knew that if he enters the city he'll so as they were approaching the last tree.

Vice ran forward and climbed it

"Little guy come down" Max spoke to Vice who's was sitting on a branch.

Vice took out the teleportation scroll and used it to teleport to an entrance of a dungeon he saw on a map.
