CHAPTER 53: CHAPTER 53: TRAINING 2

Gordon appeared in front of a green portal he looked at dirt walls with glowing red rocks although he had never been here it felt comfortable, it reminded him of home

"Gordon stop day dreaming" he look at Jones and walked to him

As he stepped away from the portal Valeria appeared and she walked to the group

"what did he tell you?" Valeria walked past Gordon to Freya and Scarlet

"He just told use where to go after Jones leads us out of here" Gordon smiled as he heard Freya’s voice

Everyone eyes turned to Jones "we still have to divide ourselves into groups" Jones spoke

Valeria sighed then sorted everyone into groups Jones,Lucas,Freya and three other ratman were in the same group with her

Scarlet and Gordon were in a group with four other ratman, Gordon sighed when he saw Freya was in a different group

"Jones were waiting for you" Jones nodded to Valeria then walked on the uneven ground leading everyone through the tunnel

’How does Jones know this place?’ Gordon wondered as he looked at Jones

As they kept walking the lighting kept getting brighter "this is there exit"Jones stopped walking and point to the light

Everyone walked past him, the moment Gordon stepped outside the sunlight stabbed his eyes, he squinted and glanced back to the others who had shut their eyes

"Damn it Jones you should have told us" Scarlet turned and looked back into the mine

Jones came out smiling "where’s the fun in that" Jones looked at Gordon and Lucas

Lucas didn’t smile but Gordon smiled ’I’ll get him for that’

"Lets stop playing around and move" Valeria looked at Freya and Scarlet

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Scarlet spoke

Valeria looked at everyone "because we left our families unprotected" most of the ratman agreed they should hurry up but Gordon and the others knew she meant that they left the other rats with Vice

"He said when we are outside I should run left and you should go right and through the tree’s to avoid the humans" Freya looked at Scarlet and pointed to the right side of the woods

Scarlet nodded and looked to her group "guys do you remember that green floating cycle"

Everyone nodded while Gordon looked at Freya

"Good we are going to run in that direction looking for the same thing" Scarlet pointed past the tree’s

Everyone nodded while Gordon looked at Freya group leave

"Lets go" Scarlet ran and everyone followed but as they ran Gordon could not help but look at the city as he heard the noise, they were not screaming or asking for help they seemed busy

’I want to live like that’ Gordon felt tired of the constant terror he had to live with, when he looked at the humans he could see they felt safe to point that they were not even guarding their woods

"I see something" one of the ratman spoke snapping Gordon back to reality

They ran deeper into the woods leaving the sight of the peaceful city for an unknown danger.

"Is this it?" A brown ratman looked at Scarlet

"Yes Eddie now get in" Scarlet watched them walked into the portal

"What is this?" Gordon looked at Scarlet as he stood in front of the portal

"I don’t know he just told me the stone of life will inside and we will fight against weak creatures" Scarlet walked into the portal leaving Gordon with doubts

’I’ve killed a lot of bugs to level up, I should be strong enough’ he remembered his training as he stepped into the portal

"Fuck" he heard Scarlet voice then a cold gust of wind hit him

He saw everyone shivering, his toes felt numb

’What is this cold white ground?’ Gordon looked at the snow, he looked at the tree’s that had turned white from the snow

"Gordon come here" Gordon looked at Scarlet and shuffled to the group

They huddled together to survive the cold

"Here take this we will follow you" Scarlet gave Gordon a pouch

"Whats this?" He looked at Scarlet

"He said if we find the stone of life to put it in there" Scarlet returned to huddling with the others

’Damn’ he looked up the slope and looked back to the huddle and sighed

’I should learn to shut up’ he took a step but then he heard the wind whistling along the slope rustling the tree’s, an animal howl

"What was that?" Scarlet asked the question Gordon was thinking then Eddie ran past him

"What are you running for?" He looked at Eddie

"I don’t know but we are in a white forest and the are weird sounds I don’t need to be a genius to know this place is dangerous" Eddie kept running

Everyone looked at each other then ran up the mountain following Eddie, Gordon sighed as he walked and watched them run

’It a good thing that they are worried about their safety but they should try saving their energy’ Gordon crossed his arms and rubbed his shoulder as he walked up the slop

The sunlight filtered through the clouds as Gordon tried to use it to warm up "tsk" the tree’s were blocking the sunlight

He kept climbing up the slope, he looked back but the was nothing there ’I felt something watching me’

Gordon kept walking but he felt eyes on him at every step, after a while he could see his friends they had chopped skin and lips

"You didn’t need to run, now your tired" Gordon spoke as they shuffled their feet through the snow, Scarlet glared at him

He looked back then he saw a par of eyes vanish "hey guys we are being watched"

Everyone turned and looked at him "Gordon we are tired, you don’t need to scare us into running" Eddie spoke

"No Im serious theirs something watching us" Scarlet rolled her eyes as everyone ignored him

He looked around, the tree’s were further apart as they climbed the mountain, his eyes widen as he realised ’they wait for us to reach a place with no tree’s’

He looked back then he saw multiple eyes but this time they did not vanish they just watched him

"Guys" he whispered "look back but don’t make it obvious" he kept walking as if he saw nothing

Scarlet sighed as she turned back then her eyes widen as she looked at the eyes past the tree’s

"RUUUUN!!" Eddie screamed as he looked at the eyes and ran

’This idiot’ Gordon eyes widen as he looked at Eddie run

He looked back but this time he the eyes growled as they slowly approached him, he turned to look at his friends but they had left him behind

"Tsk, those selfish bastards" he looked to the tree near him he took a step to the tree then he heard steps running toward him

He ran for the tree, he didn’t know why but something told him he would be safe on the tree

"Fuck"The numbness in his feet slowed down his speed but he gritted his teeth as he ran through the snow

The sound was getting closer he did bother to turn and look as he jumped to the tree

"Snap"

He heard a jaw snap tight as it missed him ’why can’t see it’ he gritted his teeth and tried to climb the tree but his icy fingers were making it difficult

He looked to the others

"AAAAHH HELP!" One of them was being chewed by white wolves

Scarlet was on a tree and looking back at him,he couldn’t see the others but the scream of the ratman made him clench his jaw

He tried to climb the tree but it was difficult to with numb limbs

’I haven’t told her I love’ he looked up at the tree branch then hugged the tree tight and slithered up

"HELP PLEASE AGHHH" the wolves caught another ratman, Gordon gritted his teeth and kept climbing

"Huff..huff.huff.huff" he sat on the branch looking at the wolves growling and surrounding the tree

Gordon eyes widen when he saw the wolves turn invisible, he looked to Scarlets tree who was climbing down

"SCARLET DON’T CLIMB DOWN THEY ARE STILL DOWN THERE!!" Scarlet stop moving when she heard him

Gordon didn’t know if they were there but he just assumed ’were are they?’ he looked at his tree and Scarlet’s tree to find anything that could help him track the wolves but with their white fur even if they were not invisible it would difficult finding them

"FORGET WHAT I SAID SCARLET JUST STAY ON THE TREE!" Gordon veins engorged as he head Eddie voice, he would never wish death on anyone he knew but right now he felt like killing Eddie himself
