CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 54: TRAINING 3

"They have to gets water soon" Gordon lips trembled as sat on the branch waiting for the wolves to leave

He looked to Scarlet and Eddie their fur was partially white from the snow

He looked at his shivering hands that he could no longer feel and saw snow

’Were going to freeze to death if we don’t do something’ he look at the ground and all he could see was white but he knew they were there waiting for him

He leaned against the tree as he looked past his shivering legs for the wolves

’I should have told her I loved her’ the shadows grew bigger, as the sun slid behind the peak ’we could have had a great family’ he looked back at the white ground that was slowly losing colour as the light faded

"SCARLET DID FREYA LIKE ME?!" He didn’t bother look at Scarlets tree as he shouted

"NO SHE THOUGHT YOU WERE CREEPY!" He bitterly smiled as he heard her

’Why? Was I looking at her too much? did I smile too much?..’every question he asked made his chest tighten

’Did I ever have a chance?’ His body felt heavy, his eyelids were halfway shut the only thing that kept him awake was the constant wind that kept him shaking but he knew that soon it wouldn’t be enough

"IF YOU STOP STARING AT HER, YOU MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE..!" a slow smile formed on his ’she must trying to comfort me’

"..SHE SAID SHE LIKED THE SILENT TYPE AND YOUR THE ONLY SILENT TYPE WE KNOW.." His eyes slowly opened as he kept listen to her

"..STOP THAT STARING AND SMILING AT HER!!" His eyes for a moments shined as he smiled

The wind rustled the through the leaves causing snow to fall, he head a short whimper then the wind turned still and a wolf barked

"Enough" Gordon looked down as heard the wolf then he saw glowing eyes move

’Finally they are leaving’ he shock the snow off his body then waited for the wolves to leave

"I’ll give one of you a deal, who ever comes down first will live" his eyes widen as he heard the wolf’s words

’No one is stupid enough to trust you’ he returned to leaning against the tree then

"IF I COME DOWN YOU WON’T KILL ME?!" His jaw slacked when he heard Eddie voice

"Yes" The wolf did not need to yell it’s voice could be heard clearly by everyone

"OK I’M COMING DOWN!" Gordon had no words as he listened to what was unfolding

"Thud"

Eddie seemed to have fell down but the snow softened landing

"Good now go climb a tree and drag one of your friends down’’ Gordon eyes widen as he listened, he wanted to trust Eddie would not do it but he had doubt in his heart

"I’ll do it" Eddie spoke

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING EDDIE CLIMB UP THE TREE NOW!!.." Scarlet screamed

’He going to get us all killed’ He looked down and saw a few eyes, most of the wolves seemed to have gone to Eddie

"Eddie what are you doing?" A ratman spoke "were are all going to freeze to death if someone doesn’t do something" Eddie spoke

"SOMEONE HELP HE’S TRYING TO KILL ME HELP!" Gordon put his hands on his ears but they were too numb to properly blockout the sound

"THUD"

Something fell to the ground

"AAAAHHHELPSCARLETHELP!!.." the ratman screamed as the wolves tore it to pieces

After a while the only thing that could be heard was wind whistling down the slop but even that went silent

"Come down Eddie and get another one" the wolf spoke then

"Thud"

Gordon heard something fall he listen carefully as there were no stars to help him see through the night

"YOUR A PIECE OF SHIT EDDIE YOU SHOULD GO TO HELL!!.."Scarlet screamed again

He listened through her noise then heard footsteps approaching his tree, he clenched his jaw as the tree shock, it seemed Eddie had chosen to kill Gordon

’I need to do something but what?’ he thought about fighting but his limbs were numb

"HEY AFTER YOU KILL US WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HIM?!" The tree stopped shaking as he spoke

"Nothing, we will let him leave" the wolf spoke then the tree shock again and Gordon could now hear Eddie breathing

Gordon wanted to kick Eddie to his death but he knew the snow would soften his landing

"Eddie after they let you leave where are going to go?" Gordon whispered through his trembling lips but Eddie never answered the tree stopped shaking

"If they let you leave your going to freeze death then they’ll eat your corpse.." the only thing he could feel was the could wind brushing against his skin but the tree stood motionless

"No matter what you do the wolves end up killing you" he kept whispering into the void hopeful that Eddie would hear him

"If you don’t do something soon we’ll put you on the menu" the wolf spoke

"Sniff what should I do?" Eddie spoke to himself but Gordon heard him

"Eddie I have a plan, I’m willing to trust you if your willing to trust me?" he whispered to were he heard Eddie’s voice

He waited for him, Eddie was desperate the wolves were going to eat him when he was done betraying his friend but with Gordon unknown plan the was hope for him

"What should I do?" Eddie spoke

"Tell the wolves this to show everyone that your still our friends..." he whispered to Eddie his plan

"HEY YOU FUCKING WOLVES I WON’T KILL MY FRIENDS YOU PIECES OF SHIT" Eddie screamed and the wolves growled

"What now?" Eddie spoke

"Come closer so I can tell you the most important part of the plan" the tree shock as Eddie moved closer to Gordon branch

"Im here" Eddie touched his leg but he could on partially feel him

He reached out his hand and touched Eddie face "Is that you?"

"Yes" Gordon smiled as he looked at Eddie’s eyes, they shined with hope as he looked at him then Gordon pushed Eddie

He saw that shine slowly vanish as it tried to fight gravity

"Thud"

Gordon listen to Eddie land on the snow then the wolves growled

"Im sorAAAAAH!" Eddie tried to beg but the wolves tore to him into pieces

"WHO WAS THAT?!" Scarlet screamed

"IT WAS EDDIE!" he screamed

"Who ever comes down, we will let you live" the wolf spoke

’No one would come down after you just killed Eddie’ Gordon looked in the direction of Scarlet’s tree

"SCARLET DO YOU TRUST ME?!" He waited for her answer

"...."

"YES!" she spoke

He bitterly smiled ’thats good enough, I will see you soon Freya’

Gordon fell from the tree

"Thud"

The snow softened his landing then he saw eyes in front of his face "Do you accept the deal?"
