CHAPTER 58: CHAPTER 58: PATHETIC

Vace looked at the dungeon status with a frown as he walked between the tall tree’s that creaked and groaned as they sway

The only thing that relieved his headaches was that at least one individual performed well during their training but the rest were failures

’I sent them to F-Rank dungeons as E-Rank monster they should have performed better than this’ the cool breeze calmed him down as he walked to the clearing between the middle and core region

He took a deep breath when he saw the ratman but one of them was unconscious, he glared at them as he sat down

"Speak" the three ratman lowed their heads when they heard him speak in a deepened tone

"The place you sent us to had strong green monsters" Valeria spoke

"Those green monsters are F-Rank and your E-Rank now what excuse do you have?" He clenched his jaw as he looked at them

Non of them spoke as they lowered their heads,

’They pathetic’ he looked at the dungeon status "where’s Gordon?"

They pointed to the unconscious ratman

’I’ll make him the general, the rest don’t even quality to be meet sheild’ Vice looked at Gordon then he heard footsteps running as the wind whispered through the trees

He looked to the outside of the clearing and saw Scarlet

"Freya get Gordons pouch and bring the one you took from Jones" Freya ran to Gordon and untied the pouch around his neck then gave it to Vice

"Where the other pouch?" He looked at them as Scarlet quietly stood behind everyone

"They took it" Freya spoke under her breath but Vice heard it

"Who took it?" He looked at Freya

"Those green things" Valeria spoke

"Your all pathetic" Vice intrusive thought came out everyone clenched their jaws the was nothing they could do but stand there and take the insults

"It not our fault you said the enemies would be weaker than us" Scarlet stepped forward but then her nose bleed, she looked at the others and their noses were bleeding as they felt pressure and kill intent from Vice

"I TOLERATE YOUR EXISTENCE BECAUSE I THINK YOU MIGHT BE USEFUL" the air went still as they fell to their knee’s "BUT AS THANKS FOR NOT KILLING YOU FILTH, YOU FAIL TO KILL MONSTER BENEATH YOUR LEVEL"

"Thud"

Freya fell unconscious, their eyes widen as they thought Vice would kill them

A gale of wind carrying leaves blew through them, the earth smell of decomposing leaves relieved a his headache a little

He took deep breaths to calm himself then Scarlet fell unconscious when he lifted his pressure

"Thud"

Her body fell on the leaves, Vice kept taking deep breaths

’how are they even alive?’ He squinted his eyes as he looked at Valeria and Jones

"How did you even leave the dungeon when you don’t have the core?" Valeria bit her lip when she heard the question

"They let use go" Jones spoke with his head facing the ground

A cool breeze hit Vice as he leaned closer "why would goblins let you leave instead of killing you?"

He looked at Jones waiting for responses "After they killed three ratman they took Lucas and told us to bring them our stone of life"

As their heads looked at the leaves on the ground no one saw Vice smile ’I can use this’

"Why don’t you try and take the core" Jones bit his lip while Valeria clenched to her fur

"Its good that both of you remember your place and from now on never come to the middle region" he stood up "only Gordon is allowed to come here"

He picked up Gordon’s body and looked back to the core region "now scram"

They took Scarlet and Freya then ran away from Vice

Vice walked on the uneven ground pitted with rocks and roots, he put Gordon’s body against a tree then walked up the slop

The past two days he spent clearing the cave he destroyed,

He entered the cave, the sunlight dimished as he walked away from the entrance

He crouched down and took out a purple crystal then the vines in the dirt wall moved to the core and held it in the air

’it still works’ he opened the pouch taking out the crystal and putting it in front of the core

’Good’ he pressed yes then walked to the exit

’Not again’ his limbs felt weak then he fell to the ground losing conscious

"Hahaaha" a wrinkled face bearded old man laughed as he watched the TV mounted on the wall, he reached for the half empty beverage can on the table

"Ahh" he finished the can in one gulpe then he heard the tapping of heels in the hallway

He sighed as turned off the TV and waited for her to enter the room

"Dad were is the mana core?" her cologne filled the room as she spoke

"What happened this time?" He stood up from the cushy recliner

"The Association says that wasn’t the symbol of fallen angel" she looked at the table his beverage can wasn’t on the coaster again

"Then it must be a copy cat it’s not something you should stress yourself about Luna" her eyes were glued to the can, as he spoke

"Tsk" he put the can on the coaster

"I’m hiring a seer to tell me what happened" she looked at her father

"No don’t hire those gold digging bastards" he walked to her but Luna stepped back and crossed her arms

"I already called one, she will be here next week before the dungeon gets destroyed" she walked out of the living room

He turned and looked at the portrait on the wall ’she stubborn, just like you’

He walked to the hallway "Luna why don’t you just go to the dungeon yourself"

She stopped walking and turned around "the association is sending all of its S-Rank and SS-Rank hunters to invade the goblin world"

She walked away
