CHAPTER 6 - 6: THE DAILY STRUGGLES OF A MOUSE 2

Although he was following the snake as a scavenger he never stopped thinking about how to kill it, in his eye's the snake was too dangerous to ignore.

"Rex finally found prey" Vice decided to call the snake Rex

Rex lay hidden in the shade of a tree waiting for his prey to come close, he was currently watching 3 rabbits playing, they seemed to be far from their colony.

"Tim, Alpha told us not go too far from the colony" a female rabbit spoke

"Don't tell me your scared, I told you those guys didn't go missing they problem play around somewhere Roxxy" Tim seemed not to care about Roxxy concerns.

"It's been 4 days since they left" Roxxy glared at another rabbit

"Tim man how bout we chill here? " the rabbit spoke

"Yeah let's chill he before we go deeper into the forest" Tim moved to a shaded tree so he could relax

"Are you happy?" The rabbit asked as it moved to relax with Tim in the shade.

"I wanted you to stop him, Mik" she spoke under her breath

As Tim was about to lie down in the shade of the tree

"Swoosh"

The snake missed, it's chance to kill Tim in single strike

"Hiss..why did you dodge..hiss..could have united you with your missing friends..hiss" Rex spoke with a grin on it face

"RUN! Roxxy RUN!" Tim spoke as he stood facing Rex

"I can hel.."

"No! You can't that snake is stronger than me and Tim combined so don't waste time and run" Mik stood his ground as he watched Roxxy run

"Hiss...not soo fast!" Rex rushed past Tim raised his head when Roxxy was in 5 meters from him[Venomous breath] a concentrated venomous smoke came out of his mouth heading straight for Roxxy defenceless back [earth wall] a wall now stood between the venomous breath and Roxxy.

Roxxy tried to look back to see what happened

"RUN ROXXY DON'T LOOK BACK!!!" Tim screamed trying to make sure that Roxxy didn't see that Mik was hit by the Venomous smoke that was that was coming from the snake's breath

"Ei snake how about you... finish use before.."

"..Chough.."

"..Aiming for a defenceless lady back" Mik spoke standing behind the earth wall

[Quick step] Tim climbed Rex's back with enhanced speed then he jumped on snake skull causing him to close his mouth and stop his venomous breath

"Tsk" Rex seemed to be a annoyed as he watched Tim land beside the crumbling earth wall.

"you ok man?" Tim spoke to his friend who was now standing on one knee

"Nah..sorry I don..think im going to be any help to yo.." Mik was visibly struggling to keep him self conscious.

"Relax you've done enough and...thanks for saving Roxxy" Tim now stood in front of Rex, ready to face his death not as prey but as a warrior

[Quick step]Tim ran to Rex then jumped into the air planning to kick Rex skull but then Rex slammed his tail into Tim's body, throwing him more that five meters away.

Rex didn't wait for Tim to recover, he moved past Mik who was barely alive soon reached Tim's body.

"Hiss...suffocate you to death as payment for you earlier aggression....hiss" Rex coiled his body around the rabbit squeezing the life out of it.

Vice stood on a tree branch watching the whole seen unfold then his eyes moved to Mik who was already at deaths door.

'Mik is suffering I should help him out' Vice thought as he descended from the tree at top speed, his only goal was to kill Mik before Rex was done with Tim.

The risk was high but the reward could not be ignored, his body seemed to move on it's on and finally Mik was within his distance he jumped remming his head into Mik's body hoping that the impact was enough to kill him.

"Thud" a body landed on the ground.

"Huff...Hu. .huff" Mik was barely breathing but still alive.

"Persistent bastard" Vice look at Mik with narrowed eyes, he needed to finish the job fast, he looked at his claws they were too weak to pierce Mik fur, his strength could legally be classified as a tickle.

He needed a solution and it came to him, a dark horrible solution finally came.

'Fuck' he thought as he walked closer to Mik

He looked at Mik's neck, he opened his mouth and finally he bit into Mik's neck not once, not twice but as many times he needed to, he wouldn't stop until he could see that Mik was no longer alive.

'Finally after spending the whole day following that snake I finally got something good' Vice spoke with a face covered in blood.

Now it was time for him to leave, as he was taking his first step.

"Your quite brave for a mere mouse...hiss" hearing those words his spine shivered, his heat rate increased, he turned his head to see Rex.

"To think someone would dear steal..hiss..kill, you must not value your life...hiss" Rex spoke as he slithered around Vice body studying his appetizer.

"MY LORD I CAN HELP YOU!" As Rex open his mouth ready to eat, Vice spoke anything that could save him.

"Hiss..how?" Rex spoke as he licked his appetizer.

"I can find the den of the rabbits" Vice made up random guess hoping for the best.

"How....hiss" Rex looked at his appetizer wit great scrutiny, it seems his guess was right the snake didn't know where the rabbits lived.

"The rabbit that ran away it will come back with support and when they come, I can follow the them when head back" Vice knew the was no guarantee that the rabbit will come back but he needed anyway to prolong his life.

Hearing those words Rex was pleased by the plan but he could not trust the mouse in front of him, his body lunged to the mouse.

"Bite"

"Aaah!" He screamed in horror seeing that Rex bit him

'Not again this was my second chance, it was a shit chance but it was my second chance in life' he thought seeing that death was now in sight, he dropped to his knees to pray.

"Don't worry little mouse...hiss...simply putting a guarantee on...hiss..investment...hiss" Rex spoke seeing its appetizer dread it's life.

"Guarantee?" Vice seemed to be wondering how his death would be a guaranteed investment.

"Yes..hiss...put venom in you blood...hiss that will activate in four days if you don't get any results...hiss" Rex spoke with a grin on his face

"Now I'll be taking my leave...hiss" Rex started to leave dragging the rabbits by his mouth.

"MY LORD!" Vice yelled when he saw Rex was leaving.

"HISS...WHAT?" Rex turned to Vice with a face full of irritation
