"Aston Villa are simply flying high!" the pundit on screen exclaimed, a highlight reel of recent Villa goals playing in the background.
"After that dominant 3-1 victory over Fulham, Unai Emery's side has continued their impressive run in the Premier League. We've just passed the 30-game mark, and Villa are looking like serious contenders for a European spot!"
The montage showed:
Match 1 (vs. Burnley - Home):
"Villa's next test saw them host Burnley. A cagey affair in the first half, but the brilliance of Douglas Luiz (Current: 85) shone through.
His 'Current' rating, always radiating composure, allowed him to dictate play.
A stunning long-range strike from Luiz in the second half broke the deadlock, securing a hard-fought 1-0 win!
Leon Fischer once again controlled the midfield, breaking up Burnley's attacks with his uncanny 'sight'."
Match 2 (vs. Sheffield United - Away):
"Then, Villa traveled to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United. A true test of character against a resilient side. It was John McGinn (Current: 84) who rose to the occasion!
His tireless work rate and powerful runs were on full display. McGinn bagged a fantastic brace, leading Villa to a crucial 2-1 away victory!
Leon Fischer provided both assists, demonstrating his incredible passing range, including one where he saw the 'ghosted run' from McGinn a full three seconds before it happened!"
Match 3 (vs. Luton Town - Home): "And finally, a masterclass against Luton Town at Villa Park! Villa ran riot in a thrilling 4-1 win.
Ollie Watkins (Current: 86) scored two clinical goals, one a header from a pinpoint Leon Fischer cross, and another a lightning-fast finish after a brilliant through ball from Alex Turner (Current: 81). Alex, the young debutant, continues to impress, his 'Current' rating steadily climbing, showing why Leon Fischer had championed him to Coach Emery!"
Leon watched the highlights, a proud smile on his face. He loved seeing his teammates shine, knowing his 'sight' and leadership were helping them thrive.
Douglas Luiz, John McGinn, Ollie Watkins, Alex Turner – they were all stepping up, performing consistently at a high level.
The Premier League table then flashed on the screen, showing the impact of their recent winning streak:
Arsenal - 72 points
Manchester City - 70 points
Liverpool - 68 points
Tottenham - 62 points
Aston Villa - 54 points
Chelsea - 52 points
Brighton - 50 points
Manchester United - 48 points
Fulham - 46 points
Newcastle United - 44 points
Aston Villa was now in 5th place! Leon's heart swelled with triumph.
They had leapfrogged Chelsea! His 'Help System' quest for 6th place was well on its way to being completed. More importantly, 5th place meant a direct spot in the Europa League! And they were only 8 points off Tottenham in 4th, with just five matches left in the league.
Champions League football was a distant, yet tantalizing possibility.
He quickly texted Byon (Current: 85): "Guess where we are now, Mr. 48 Million?! FIFTH!"
Byon's reply was instant: "NO WAY! You guys are actually doing it! That's insane, Leo! Congrats! We're still battling Arsenal for the top spot, but you guys are flying!"
A few days later, Leon was in the academy common room, sprawled on a sofa with Byon, both of them glued to the TV.
The air was thick with tension. It was the penultimate match of the Premier League season. Arsenal, playing away, had a chance to clinch the title.
"The tension is palpable here! Arsenal, with a dominant performance, are just minutes away from securing the Premier League title! A truly magnificent season for Mikel Arteta's side!"
Byon's 'Current: 85' hummed with a mix of excitement and disappointment. "Looks like Arsenal are going to win it, Leo. We pushed them hard, but they were just too consistent."
Leon nodded.
He saw Bukayo Saka (Current: 88) on the screen, his face beaming, already celebrating. And then, there was Mark Johnson (Current: 71), on the pitch, running to celebrate with his teammates, a wide, joyful grin on his face.
Leon felt a surge of pride for Mark.
The player he'd discovered, the one with the Potential: 95, was now a Premier League champion, albeit from the bench. It made his 'Help System' quest feel even more meaningful.
The final whistle blew. Arsenal had won the Premier League title! The screen cut to jubilant scenes, Arsenal players embracing, the trophy being prepared.
"Arsenal are Premier League Champions!" the commentator roared.
"A well-deserved title for Mikel Arteta's magnificent team!"
Byon sighed, a mix of relief and a competitive grumble. "Well, at least it wasn't Liverpool. But still... next season, we're taking that trophy, Leo! You guys better watch out!"
Leon grinned. "We'll be right there with you, mate. But first, we've got to secure that European spot." He felt a renewed hunger.
Watching Arsenal lift the trophy, seeing Mark celebrate, it only intensified his desire for Aston Villa to reach those heights.
"Hey, Leon," Byon said, turning to him, his expression serious. "You know, all this stuff... my goal, your goals, Alex's debut, Mark winning the league... It's all because of you, isn't it? You saw it.
You helped us. You gave us the push."
Leon felt a blush. He'd never really thought about it that way. He just followed his instincts, followed the prompts of the 'Help System'.
"Nah, mate," he mumbled, shrugging. "You guys had the talent. I just... pointed you in the right direction."
Byon just shook his head, a knowing smile on his face. "Nah, it's more than that. You've got something special, Leo. Something... unique."
He paused, then his eyes twinkled mischievously. "Speaking of unique... I saw a rumor online today. About you."
Leon raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What now? My secret love for cheesy pop music?"
Byon chuckled. "Even worse. They're saying... some big clubs are looking at you. Rumors, obviously.
But apparently, there's talk about a record-breaking bid. Something about Real Madrid being interested."
Leon's heart leaped into his throat. Real Madrid? The thought sent a jolt of pure shock through him.
He remembered Emre Demir (Current: 86) at Real Madrid. Could he really be playing alongside him?
It was too much. Too soon. He'd just settled into Villa, just bought his mom a new house, just helped Villa into 5th place.
"Real Madrid?" Leon whispered, his voice barely audible.
The idea was exhilarating, terrifying, and utterly mind-boggling.
This "second life" was taking turns he could never have predicted. It was an incredible dream, but also a new, immense pressure. The Premier League title might have just been decided, but for Leon Fischer, the biggest game of his life might be just around the corner.
