Reincarnated as Nobita Nobi
Chapter 149 149: The Decisive Battle with King Demaon - Part 2
"So now, none of you are getting away!"
"It's a shame about Medusa—you restored her, and she didn't destroy the moon's seal as I commanded."
"But that's just a minor hassle!"
"When the full moon arrives, no one can stop me!"
"It's time to reel in the net!"
As King Demaon's voice fell, the demons outside had already destroyed the distracting hot air balloon from Dorami.
Hordes of demons on red dragons swarmed in, turning the situation dire.
"Doraemon, take them and go! Stick to the plan!"
I drew my familiar Denkomaru, its blade glowing with yellow light.
I didn't seem fazed by the overwhelming demonic flames. I just held the Denkomaru horizontally, ready to strike at King Demaon.
Seeing me apparently planning to hold off King Demaon alone, Shizuka got anxious.
"Nobita, what are you doing?"
"Don't play the hero alone—come escape with us!"
I didn't respond or turn around; this wasn't the time for sentiment.
"Nobita's staying for our sake—don't hold him back!"
Doraemon calmly pulled Shizuka away.
Hearing the word "hold back, Shizuka let Doraemon lead her out.
"You think blocking me means they'll escape?"
"There are so many demons outside!"
King Demaon laughed at me.
"Whether they escape is up to them. My job is to stop you!" I stood firm.
"Haha! As expected of you, Nobita Nobi!" King Demaon looked at the one blocking him, satisfied.
"How do you know my name?" Hearing King Demaon say my name again puzzled me.
I'd never met him, and I hadn't leaked my info to the demons!
"You're a variable. The moment you entered this world, my magic sensed it!"
"Destiny shifted because of you—everything tied to you was rewritten!"
"This world was fated to fall to the demons, but you inserted yourself perfectly, without any backlash."
"I saw from my crystal ball that you'd be the biggest obstacle to our plan!"
"So, I've wanted to eliminate you the most!"
"Now, ready to die?"
Before he even finished, King Demaon attacked—true to form, this demon king had no sense of fair play.
But as the lightning struck me, it bounced off a golden glow on my body.
Looking closer, it was a suit of golden armor.
It hadn't been there before—how had I suddenly donned it?
Actually, this was a trick I'd created using my telekinetic barrier.
It was like materializing telekinesis, wrapping it around me to form armor.
This was prep for building my Susanoo later. Gotta say, it looked good—not just tough defense, but super cool too.
The golden armor shone brilliantly on me.
"Surprised? I can armor up!"
Wearing my telekinetic armor, I blocked King Demaon's strike, then gripped Denkomaru, vanishing and teleporting straight at him.
"You think a little power boost means you can fight back? Pathetic tricks!"
King Demaon sneered, waving his hands to fill the surrounding space with lightning, sealing off my movement.
It forced me out of my spatial teleport mid-move.
Then King Demaon hurled blasts of demon fire at me, but I dodged them nimbly.
Finally, pushing through his lightning barrage with constant teleports, I reached him.
I leaped up, swinging Denkomaru furiously at King Demaon's neck.
The yellow blade light sliced through the air, inches from his neck.
It was blocked by a withered, zombie-like arm.
Denkomaru clashed against the arm with a bang, sparking like metal on metal.
My strike only left a faint white mark on that arm.
My eyes widened—I kicked forward at King Demaon's arm, using the recoil to leap back.
Then I teleported, vanishing into the air.
Immediately, massive demon flames erupted around where King Demaon had been.
He'd tried to burn me alive, but I'd dodged.
I reappeared from space a short distance away.
My heart raced—I hadn't expected King Demaon's magic to be so strong, and his body even tougher. Was he dual-cultivating magic and martial arts?
"You dodged? Impressive!" King Demaon chuckled lightly, but his eyes burned with killing intent.
He turned into a streak of demon fire, teleporting rapidly toward me.
His withered claw shot out, aiming for my heart.
King Demaon didn't need weapons—his claws were the best.
Seeing this, I raised Denkomaru and slashed at his claw.
I unleashed a flurry of sword strikes, and King Demaon countered with endless claw swipes.
Claw and sword clashed repeatedly, sparking wildly.
While clawing at me, King Demaon kept unleashing magic—lightning assaulted me nonstop.
But my telekinetic armor blocked it all.
I wasn't idle either—secretly, I applied telekinetic pressure on King Demaon.
It slowed his swift movements noticeably.
Even under telekinetic pressure, King Demaon's attacks remained lightning-fast.
But I wasn't done—I'd been multitasking, condensing a Planetary Devastation.
Now, I could easily form a small one, about 7-8 meters in diameter.
The huge ones, like 10-100 meters, were tougher, but possible—just not instant.
This 7-8 meter Planetary Devastation formed as quick as a Rasengan.
The massive rock mass slammed into King Demaon.
The spinning impact hurled him into the cavern ceiling, blasting a hole in the so-called demon king's castle.
King Demaon was flung into the sky.
Seeing this, I flew out through the massive hole.
Thanks to our earlier and ongoing attacks, the demon king's castle was crumbling.
Rocks were falling everywhere.
