CHAPTER 124: KISS

’And that’s the third!’

In an instant, I sent a lightning current to the last fish, killing it immediately with ease.

I caught its corpse immediately and held it with the other 2 fish.

’I hope they don’t turn out to be orange at the end.’

That was the last golden — probably — fish I needed. Now, I only had to find the exit... somehow.

Fortunately, I could make gates myself, so I only had to study my own gate and see what was special about it with my spatial awareness.

Immediately, I cast 2 gates and began to observe them.

[I understand it—!]

’Shut up! I’ll do it myself!’

As I silenced Glutton, I began to observe the space around the gate.

First, what was even the spatial gate?

It was a gate connected to another gate. Entering one of them would naturally lead to the other ignoring all the space between them.

So how was that working?

Knowing how to do a backflip didn’t mean I knew the logic behind the backflip; it was pure instinct for me.

But now, knowing how to make a gate wasn’t enough. I had to know how it worked.

Ignoring the light it was making, the space around it felt... non existent.

’Wait, that’s wrong.’

Space couldn’t be non-existent, that was the power of void, not space.

I felt like space was like a container; an empty container was still a container, right? And whenever I brought something into it, I’d see changes in things like mass and shape.

Formerly, I was sensing the things inside that container, but now, I had to expand my awareness to the container itself — the fabric of space.

’Well, let’s do it.’

I began to focus on the space surrounding me, ignoring the blood, the water, the fishes, the air and even myself.

After a few minutes, my mental image for my surroundings began to change until I had finally sensed the space.

I froze as I sensed the real existence of space. It was unlike anything I had seen before, defying all the logic I believed in.

Inside that space, the gates weren’t shown as holes, but severs in the fabric of space. They weren’t ignoring the space, but making shortcuts!

’It’s like making a cut in the middle of a piece of clothing. A cut won’t remove anything from the clothing, but it will allow me to pass through that cut and reach the other side.’

That was the logic of not only the gate, but the teleportation as a whole. It was simply making a shortcut between 2 points.

I finally understood the spatial gates’ logic. Now, I only had to sense the space itself to find the gate.

I focused and expanded my spatial awareness. By sensing the fabric of space itself, I could now sense everything inside of it naturally instead of using the water or the air to compare the density.

’I really improved too much in less than an hour.’

Soon after, I found a small, almost unnoticeable cut in space, smaller than any gate I could ever make... which Glutton was swimming lazily behind.

[Took you long enough.]

’Tsk, it’s just too small to be noticed easily.’

[But I did it—]

’Shut up!’

Hiding my embarrassment, I entered the gate with him without hesitation.

The moment I went to the other side, all my senses and artifacts finally returned as I opened my eyes and found myself back at Lunara’s office.

"Ah... I really missed this feeling."

I could finally see, hear, smell, feel and speak. With adding my new improvement in my spatial awareness — my senses reached a new height.

For a moment, I just stood in daze, trying to adapt to all the information which was entering my brain at the same time, ignoring the blood that was covering me from head to toe.

[Ah...!]

All of a sudden, Glutton disappeared from behind me.

The next thing I heard was clapping. Looking at its source, I found Lunara hugging both Glutton and Yami in their bird forms while clapping with mana hands.

"Congrats. You did it faster than I expected! Especially you, my cute little raven~"

"...."

At this very moment, my focus wasn’t on Lunara, but the emotions I was receiving from Glutton.

[It’s finally... happening! A woman is finally showing me love! I... I think I’m going to cry...]

I could only say... It was my first time seeing him in such joy.

I couldn’t stop him from touching a woman this time. Because, well, he didn’t even try! He was just kidnapped!

What the hell was wrong with her to hug that ugly creature with a smile!

What did she mean that wasn’t her plan? Was there something else there?

I looked at her in daze as she continued:

"But now, you surpassed all my expectations! Therefore, I decided to give a small reward to each one of you."

Before I could ask anything, something entered my spatial ring directly.

[Huh? She can do this?]

At the same time, she put something inside Glutton’s storage as well.

"I want to talk more with you, but unfortunately, I’m running out of time. I’ll send you back now."

[Wait, NO!]

Hearing Glutton’s scream, my lips curled into a wide smile as I prepared myself to leave.

Just then, Lunara kissed Glutton’s head.

We both froze instantly as Lunara laughed softly.

The moment I blinked, the scene before me changed as I returned to my suite with Glutton.

Glutton himself seemed to be more shocked than me. He probably never expected something like that to happen.

There were 5 girls other than Selene in my room, wearing pajamas and nightdresses.

They were Elara, Morgana, Cel, Thalia and Liora.

They seemed to be playing with make-ups as Elara’s face was painted in colorful pastels like a clown.

But my eyes twitched when I saw the condition of the bed.

For some stupid reason, it was cut into 6 pieces!

Just why!

I glared at them, ignoring the 2 who were shaking, and hissed.
