CHAPTER 134: STRENGTH OF THE ALMIGHTY

Dark entities are divided into seven classes: F, E, D, C, B, A, and S.

That’s vermin, lurkers, brutes, heralds, abominations, realm reapers, and world enders, respectively.

I’ve seen many—different forms, shapes, and sizes—but none have been able to kill this god. My declaration wasn’t made out of pride but confidence built over centuries of victory.

"I DARE TO INVADE..."

The voice was calm but boomed like thunder.

A pair of burning emerald eyes opened within the distant darkness.

It was clearly the one that destroyed this wall.

With its words came a foul stench—like that of a corpse left unattended for several days.

The cheers fell silent. People instinctively took a step back, eyes fixated on the glowing gaze within the dark.

"Corruption Dragon," I chuckled, placing my hands behind my back.

My body remained airborne, hair fluttering wildly with the wind as a mocking smile bloomed on my face.

The Corruption Dragon was a dark entity that came with plagues and death. Its touch decayed everything it made contact with, and its breath was akin to pestilence—capable of wiping out entire cities.

Wherever it went, people died excruciating, painful deaths after suffering long, miserable days.

But not in my city.

Not while this god lives.

[Warning!]

[Corruption Dragon is about to use Corruption Breath!]

The system warned, but I didn’t need it to.

A ball of green light glowed within the beast’s belly, so bright it could be seen through its flesh.

The green ball rolled up its body, its eyes burning like twin emerald suns threatening to explode.

Aaahhhh!

Screams of panic rang out. People ran in every direction, searching for shelter.

In a world plagued by dark entities for centuries, the Corruption Dragon was no stranger.

But I was still unknown.

Many knew me as the emperor who could lead a hundred soldiers against ten thousand. A man capable of the unthinkable.

But not a man who could defeat a dragon.

"I don’t blame them. I’ve stayed hidden for too long," I chuckled and lowered my gaze—only to see my hundred-man orc army, led by Fin, still standing tall.

These were people I personally trained and fought alongside.

As long as I didn’t flee, they wouldn’t flee.

It was nice to know some still believed in me, even without knowing what I was truly capable of.

"NOW I WILL REWRITE HISTORY AND SHOW THE WORLD WHAT THE EMPEROR OF THE SEVEN SUNS IS CAPABLE OF!"

My voice boomed like thunder.

CORRUPTION BREATH!

The Corruption Dragon spewed out a sea of green fog. It surged toward the city walls like a tidal wave under a stormy sky, spreading wider as it moved.

[DOOORRRR!]

A black rift spiraled into existence, unleashing a violent suction force.

Rubble was ripped from the ground. Chunks of the broken wall were dragged in—and so was the green sea.

I watched as the sea of corruption meant to bring death and disease was devoured without resistance.

In mere seconds, it vanished without a trace.

"HOW ARE YOU THIS STRONG?!" the Corruption Dragon bellowed in fury.

"YOU ARE A LEADER, NOT A WARRIOR. YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO RESIST ME!"

My eyes narrowed.

Its words disturbed me. How did a dark beast know so much—not just about Gatekeepers, but me in particular?

Did that mean the Dark Keeper behind this horde was a Gatekeeper I had once crossed paths with?

Still, it wasn’t wrong.

Territory upgrades aren’t cheap. It’s nearly impossible to purchase them while leveling up at the same time.

But what the dragon didn’t account for was this:

I’ve been a Gatekeeper for two centuries.

And while I mostly focused on territory upgrades, I occasionally set aside experience points to level up, little by little.

That’s why, after 200 years, I’ve only just reached level 50.

Yet Adam Black had already hit level 10 in just months.

In a decade, he would surpass me—that’s why I needed a warrior by my side.

"Little Demon. This is where you die!" I snarled, performing seals with my left hand.

Ding!

[Sword God: Sword Saint activated!]

Buzz!

Blinding light erupted behind me, glowing bright like a star.

The light twisted and compressed, forming six human-sized swords that revolved around me like planets orbiting the sun.

ROOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!

The Corruption Dragon roared at the top of its lungs and shot forward, emerging from the dark to reveal its grotesque form.

Its gray, decaying body was filled with festering wounds and patches of moss.

Flies hovered around it by the millions, and the stench intensified.

Even Fin and the orcs had to cover their noses in disgust.

Buzz!

My hands moved in circles, leaving behind afterimages as the swords began smashing into each other, merging and spiraling above me.

[Sword God: Colloseus]

Buzz!!

"FALL!"

A gigantic sword, the size of the Statue of Liberty, descended from the heavens—striking the Corruption Dragon like the judgment of the gods.

"I AM LEE BAI, THE ALMIGHTY! THAT NAME WILL NEVER KNOW DEFEAT!"

— Adam’s POV —

After a long day of laughter and jokes, my visitors finally left.

I hadn’t joined in, but it was nice just watching them have fun. It helped me forget my problems, even if only for a while.

I found it satisfying watching Natasha steal glances at me while I talked with Kenza, acting like she didn’t exist.

Even more satisfying was the annoyance in Dayvon’s eyes as he watched his woman lust after another man.

I doubt their relationship will last long.

Dayvon challenged me to a public fight for the title of Strongest.

I declined.

I’m not about to give that boy free publicity—the same publicity the country denied him because of the side he chose.

I told him if he wanted a fight, we could do it in my backyard... after my recovery period.

Yes—apart from the $250,000 I received for the successful rift raid (one of many incentives), Limitless also gets one month of rest and recovery after an expedition.

Normally I wouldn’t care.

But now, with everything I need to do in the Solinthar Empire, the break is exactly what I need.
