Reincarnated With An SSS-Rank Talent In An Apocalyptic World

CHAPTER 138: ADAM VS 60,000 [1]
Under my watchful gaze, soldiers began picking up their weapons and taking appropriate formation. Captains ran around in amusing nightwear and loosely worn armor, barking orders and trying to get their sixty thousand soldiers prepared for the toughest battles of their lives.
However, these clowns were not worth my attention. My gaze spanned through the camp, searching for the royal tents, but to my surprise, they all used identical ones. I was stunned because the kings I met in Solinthar were not the type to use their brains.
I doubted they had any.
"This is the work of a very talented advisor," I frowned.
Every day I go by regretting I haven’t gotten my hands on a talent that can help me pinpoint people within crowds. However, one thing was certain.
"These fat pigs are still in their tents!" My eyes gleamed with murderous light.
If those buffalos stepped out onto the battlefield, it would be extremely easy to spot them even in a group of a hundred thousand people. The fact I was yet to find them meant they were still in their tents, hiding like the cowards they are.
"Kaelus, Orun, and Tiberion!" I called out in a loud voice. "This God has come to take your lives. Believe me, not even the heavens can save you."
Loose!
SWOOSH!
My gaze shifted toward a small team of about a hundred archers, shooting their arrows.
Hmph!
[Door Activated!]
Snorting disdainfully, I flicked my fingers, and darkness exploded from my body, twisting and turning behind me. What happened was unexpected—as I was used to seeing a gate being constructed. Instead, the dark mass began spiraling rapidly, creating a dark rift. From it, a powerful suction force erupted, pulling me in and shutting tight even before the arrows could reach me.
Bam!
I landed on my feet in a dark world. It was similar to the old room, but the paddings were black and the room was twice as large.
"Interesting," I muttered while glancing around. "I’m opening rifts now, not doors."
Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to enjoy the upgraded Door skill.
Snap!
A rift spiraled into existence in front of me—one leading above the camp, directly inside the barrier.
Swoosh!
Emerging from the rift, numerous arrows filled my vision, but this wasn’t surprising. My rifts were too eye-catching and could easily be spotted—it’s only natural this happened.
Hmph!
Peng!
My wings wrapped around me as I dive-bombed toward the tent directly below me.
Angel’s wings were light but as strong as steel.
Spiraling while falling, I deflected all arrows that came at me and struck the tent with immense force that caused it to collapse in an instant.
BOOOM!
A small crater was formed beneath me, and my frown deepened upon realizing the tent was empty. Shuffling footsteps approached, and the next moment, I was surrounded by thousands of soldiers—armed with swords, spears, and axes—but too scared to approach and also too loyal to run.
"Where are your kings?" I asked, but my words were met with silence.
"Whoever gives me this information gets to live. Every other person dies. Make your choice!" I threatened, hoping something would change—but I was wrong.
Glances were exchanged before one of them let out a loud, defiant scream and raced forward. His ax hacked down viciously, but I sidestepped, leaving a trail of darkness in my wake as I moved around him.
The confused soldier raised his head and looked left and right before freezing. He finally realized I was behind him—and it took him a few seconds to digest this terrifying knowledge.
I could smell fear from him.
The kind of fear a man would have when standing in the presence of a thousand-pound bear standing on its hind legs. In their eyes, I wasn’t human. I was a monster.
And they were right.
"Hiaaaaaaaaaa!"
The soldier screamed as he turned around, swinging his ax while he moved.
Pa!
His head was sent flying above the crowd with one slap, and every head followed its ascent and descent. Once the head was out of view, their gazes returned to the headless body standing there, its arm still raised.
Blood squirted out of its neck repeatedly, and after a second or two, it collapsed.
Initially, I believed this would terrify them, but to my surprise, the faces of these soldiers tightened with resolve as they all screamed at the top of their lungs and charged forward.
Swish!
One leaped into the air and slashed down with his saber, but my wing swung at him, knocking him away effortlessly—only for a second to rush in with a spear from the front.
Pa!
I caught the spear by the blade before it could reach my neck. The cut was shallow and reddish, and black blood trickled down my wrist—but it was the least of my concerns.
Two more charged in from the right, so I tightened my grip on the spear and pulled. In an incredible display of strength, I lifted the soldier off the ground and swung him like a weapon, ramming him into the two approaching soldiers.
Swish!
I tossed the spear into the air, allowing it to spin rapidly as I turned to see three soldiers charging in from behind.
"If you wish to catch me off-guard, stop screaming. That’s common sense!" I scolded as I caught the airborne spear and slashed horizontally.
Splash!
Silence!
The battlefield fell silent as three soldiers’ upper bodies fell to the ground, leaving their lower halves standing—blood squirting out of them.
I thought this was a good sign and raised my head, only to see fury and defiance in the eyes of these soldiers. The rage in their eyes reflected how much they valued their comrades lying dead at my feet.
"KILL THIS DEVIL!" someone screamed, and everyone roared—
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
Without hesitation, several soldiers brandishing spears charged in from all sides and stabbed forward.
Peng!
My wings wrapped around me once more, blocking the attack from all sides.
"Weak humans, this devil will not go down easily!" I snarled.
Bang!
All of them were sent hurling back as I shot into the air, escaping the encirclement.
Or at least, that’s what I thought!
